Retailers seem to have let the cat out of the bag regarding the game's release date (for some reason, it wasn't mentioned in the initial statement ). It's expected to arrive on October 14, which I'm guessing points to an October 17 release in the UK. The worst-kept secret in the industry is finally out as well, with Kevin Conroy now confirmed as the voice of the Bat. Also apparently due to return to their former roles are Nolan North as The Penguin, Wally Wingert as The Riddler, Troy Baker as Two-Face, and Tara Strong as Harley Quinn. More info here...

  5. Official trailer has landed. It's really happening!

Just when I'd more or less resolved not to bother buying a PS4 anytime soon.
  7. Guessing Jared Leto had a good idea that he was going to win, because his acceptance speech was pretty epic. Also, who on earth could have foreseen 'The Great Gatsby' proving more successful than 'American Hustle' in terms of awards won? Truly extraordinary stuff.
  8. Topic moved. Unless she's a fashion model whose parents gave her a name they thought would really stand out, this probably belongs elsewhere.
  9. He may have to settle for one of those lifetime achievement awards when he's about eighty. Quite honestly, I think if ever there were a time when he really should have won, it was back in 2004 for his performance in 'The Aviator'. For me, that was the best work of his career.

The big problem with Özil, although he's been looking rather jaded and decidedly uncomfortable as of late, is that he hardly has anyone to assist at the moment. His downturn in form coincided with the absences of Walcott and Ramsey (and perhaps Oxo-Chambo to a lesser extent), the kind of players he loves to provide through balls for.

Long time no see, Whitney! Thanks for the pics Shepherd.
  13. And the academy award for best photobomb goes to...
  14. I've yet to take a look at it, for pretty much the same reasons. Also, it's reached the end of its run in cinemas, and I'd rather have seen it there than at home. Much like 'Life of Pi' before it, I suspect that it probably loses something when taken away from the big screen.
  15. There's always been something about Matthew that I could never quite get away with, but you have to hand it to him, his career transformation has been as remarkable as his physical one was for 'Dallas Buyers Club'. I hope the Oscar victory allows him to find his true calling of playing Boomhauer in a live action version of 'King of the Hill'.

A piece of wizardry there from Benteke. Momentarily caught myself hoping for a 7-1 finish to eclipse our shellacking at Villa Park last season, but I would have taken anything that kept Norwich within touching distance!
  17. Very strong field for best picture at the Oscars this year, so much so that last year's big winner (‘Argo’) would have struggled to make it onto the list of nominations. For me, even a rank outsider like 'Her' was a better movie, as was 'Inside Llewyn Davis', which unbelievably, wasn't a part of the conversation.

A magnificent performance in the first half and a spirited effort in the second, but in the end, it wasn't to be. Proud of Gus and the lads for the superb feat of getting there, and proud that it took goals of such majestic quality to beat us. Playing like that against anyone else, perhaps even against City on another day, we'd have absolutely walked it. Time to concentrate on the league now (and various other cliches!).

Today's the day! It's all starting to feel very real, but I'm determined to enjoy it whatever happens.

With the cast it's packing and the fascinating true story behind it, it's a movie that could and should have been a cracker. It does have a certain easy-going charm that makes it very watchable, but it's no classic.
