So in addition to franchise-related cash grabbing, we have horrid management and rubbish public relations. Probably not the best combination if you wish to avoid rubbing your customers the wrong way.

It's gotten to the point now where our home form has become a constant source of frustration. As excellent as Oldman can be, it's a real struggle to think of a more under-appreciated actor right now than Phoenix (which I suppose is partly his own doing, what with the whole 'I'm Still Here' fiasco ). If he's still working when he's Daniel Day Lewis's age, I believe he'll be mentioned in the same breath.

'Batman vs. Superman' may be a crapshoot in terms of quality, but I've no doubt that it'll still make tons of money. It'll be the first time the characters will have appeared onscreen together in a live action format, and that alone should equal financial success. Having said that, they may well be mindful of the lukewarm reviews for 'Man of Steel' and the fan backlash over some of their more questionable casting choices (by 'some' I of course mean 'all' ). Thus, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't want the added pressure of going head-to-head with Marvel. Anthony Mackie is pretty excited anyway...

The first I heard of the widespread hate towards them was after the much-maligned ending of 'Mass Effect 3', and of course, the Origin debacle. Did those two things simply combine and irritate people, or is there another reason from way back when? Franchise-milking, perhaps?

I expect one of them to switch release dates as it'd be rather stupid not to. Question is, who backs down?

Spirited effort from Arsenal, albeit in a two-legged tie that was essentially over at half-time. Going toe-to-toe with Bayern means they'll have no excuse for not performing against everyone else in the coming months. Next to Bayern and at a push, Barca, Atletico will be the team no-one wants to meet in the quarters. Strength in depth is the only thing I could see preventing them from doing serious damage in the Champions League and La Liga.

There's always been more to Cattermole's game than just mindless old-school thuggery, but problems invariably arise when tiredness sets in, because it seems to affect his brain more than his legs. And you can tell when something's about to happen by the look on his face. The club should invest in some sort of facial recognition software to use on him during a match so the moment that glazed expression appears, an alarm sounds and Gus knows to sub him.

Yes, in the biggest crash back down to earth since Felix Baumgartner jumped out of his spaceship, we lost to Hull Tigers in dismal fashion for the third time this season. I hadn't envisaged Gordon-Levitt being a particularly good fit for this movie, but I thought he was the best thing about the trailer. If Miller's additional plot threads stand up against the rest of the material, he may even steal the show.
