  1. According to Collider (who are usually pretty reliable), the first trailer for 'BvS' is going to be played before all screenings of another Warners blockbuster, 'Mad Max: Fury Road', next month.

One has to move with the times. I wonder if Spender has switched to e-cigarettes yet? :atoobie:

For a player worth his salt, yes, but it would take at least seven Fletchers to make one half-decent striker.
  5. 'Explosion' teaser clip. Not totally convinced that there's anything new to see, but here it is anyway.

    TV spot #2.
  7. Ever so slightly concerned that Jubilee will just be a decorative character with no real purpose except to showcase some cool powers, and to have another mutant take part in the final battle (like Sunspot, Bishop, Blink and Warpath in DOFP and Colossus since X2). We'll see.

Since they only have a run of six episodes to play with, I'm hoping it's just maximum Scully and Mulder, exploring dark rooms with torches (LED ones of course, to stay current ) and chasing people through the woods. Bring back the Lone Gunmen too!

Steven Fletcher actually scored. New Lamborghinis all round!

I don't see why not. Really, the Snowden story made Spender's crew look like a bunch of amateurs by comparison, but a lot of the technological surveillance stuff they talked about in the original show has since come true. I'm sure Carter could do some sort of weird and wonderful take on that.
  12. Sorry, but name changes are only granted to members who have been here for at least three months. The only exception we make is when a member has accidentally misspelled their display name.

Gerrard apologises to everyone apart from the player he assaulted. Classy. I must say though, hearing the challenge described as "a stamping action" made me laugh. As if you'd punch someone and then say, "No, I didn't punch you. It was a punching action towards your face."
  14. Here's the first image of Jesse Eisenberg as Luthor. I think I get what they're going for, he'll probably play a blunter and more realistic villain, as opposed to Hackman and Spacey's 'larger than life' approach. Whether it'll work or not, I suppose we'll just have to see.

I want to believe... ...that it'll be good. Getting this particular band back together is going to demand outstanding storylines and scripts, which I'd like to think Chris Carter has already spent years crafting. I just hope they don't get too bogged down in the 'mythology' of the show. The central premise was about as 90s as you can get, and our conspiracy theories these days (demented though many of them are) tend to deal with un-supernatural phenomena. Hopefully, they milk enough out of paranoia at the government to be topical for six episodes, and focus on the more character-driven stuff.

It was a far cry from the utter shambles of last week and for once, the players' efforts couldn't be faulted, but it's another defeat. Fortunately the teams below us lost so we haven't slipped into the bottom three, and the performance gave me some hope that we can keep it that way. Bring on the Mags. Loved the poor and ridiculously biased commentary from the Sky Sports crew, though. Larsson overhits a cross in the first half - "that's so poor from Seb Larsson", Aaron Cresswell overhits one in the second half from a virtually identical position - "that's unlucky, I wonder if it bobbled as he tried to kick it?".

Heck of a win over a decent Besiktas side who earlier this year impressed against Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool from the Greatest League In The World™. Belgian Pro League > English Premier League? I see Fiorentina stuffed Roma as well, which presumably means Serie A is better than Serie A.
