Deleting Accounts - PLEASE READ THE FIRST POST
The kind of shit site that believes in the importance of continuity and recognises that a certain element of misbehaviour is unavoidable online.

Tags (Adding, Removal, and Etiquette?)
I'm not aware of any immediate plans to tackle this, but it could be something worth thinking about. Quite honestly, a lot of the tags I see on my travels do seem fairly subjective, and many of them are rather superfluous. Also, the potential for them to go out of date is pretty high. Basically what I'm trying to say is that I don't really see the harm in this becoming a 'deletion request' thread of sorts.

We’ve spent so long thinking that our fate is in our own hands that we simply hadn’t considered Leicester doing the unthinkable and doing what we’ve spectacularly failed to do all season. Thankfully the Lads produced a performance high on guts yesterday, and with just enough quality to run out deserved winners. Dick's record is starting to look reasonably decent, with two wins and a draw out of five. Still in the relegation zone, but at long last we seem to be putting a bit of form together. Where there's life, there's hope, and various other cliches!

Blade Runner 2049
I'm still not sure how I feel about this. They’ve a director there in Denis Villeneuve who, if given enough freedom, could certainly produce an original and thought-provoking piece, but I can't help thinking that some things are just best left alone. Blade Runner (one of my all time favourites too) was such a phenomenal self-contained story that it doesn’t need to become a franchise. I’d much rather see Ridley Scott focus on doing something original than have a hand in placing the legacy of his most seminal work on the chopping block.

Suicide Squad (2016)
There'll be no tatts for Jared Leto's Joker after all, apparently. Bravo for getting people talking about it, I guess? I'm half expecting Leto to be playing Harley Quinn now.

Carver always was a bit of a curious case. He's been at Newcastle for some time now and is obviously more qualified than most, but his attitude somehow remains that of the textbook pub loudmouth. If ever there was someone in football who looks like he'd call one of those radio phone-in shows to howl about the state of his club, it's him. And most bizarrely of all, you still wouldn't rule out the possibility of Ashley handing him the job next season.

Gundogan is brilliant, his ability to accurately pass under pressure is simply wonderful. If Pep's gang go out against Barca, it leaves him with just the league instead of that much sought-after treble. Not exactly 'next level' stuff.

I don't mean to alarm anyone, but we appeared to be playing actual football at times today. A hard-fought point that could easily have been all three. Results elsewhere didn't exactly go according to plan, but we've no control over that. It's all about what we do in these next two home games. Beat Leicester and it's right back in our hands (as long as we're still within touching distance by then), lose and we're hanging by a thread.

Suicide Squad (2016)
David Ayer has released the first official image of Jared Leto's Joker. As much as he has the manic facial expressions down and the right eyes, it feels a bit too 'in your face' to me. Take off the tattoos, especially the atrocious forehead one, and I'd like it a lot more. I always picture the Joker as an extremely dapper guy and someone who likes to give off an air of sophistication. That contradiction between his physical appearance and the way he carries himself makes him so unpredictable, and in turn, a lot scarier. By outwardly projecting the look of a street thug instead, they're stripping away one of the layers that make him so interesting. P.S. I've seperated all the Suicide Squad talk from the Batman vs Superman stuff. I figure after the above reveal, the movie could use its own topic.

Commiserations, Hervé. Young Oulare looks a real prospect, another Belgian with an incredible future. The recent disdain shown for the Europa League by Mauricio Pochettino annoyed me on so many levels. Looking at the teams in the semi finals this year, you'd have to say at least three of them would be tremendously exciting to play against. Doubly so, I would have thought, when the alternative is getting barbecued in the Champions League's group stages.
