Maika Monroe (born May 29, 1993) is an American actress and professional kiteboarder. She made her acting debut in the 2012 film At Any Price. In April 2012, Monroe signed up for the drama film Labor Day, an adaptation of the novel of the same name. She played Mandy, a farm girl who romances with a young man and eventually becomes his wife and the mother of his child. In June 2013, she joined the cast of the psychological thriller film The Guest. In August 2014, she joined the alien invasion thriller film The 5th Wave, based on the novel of the same name. In the same year starred as Jay in the psycho thriller film It Follows. She is set to star as Ringer, in the upcoming Science fiction film The 5th Wave.
  8. Yeah, for some reason they've made Scarlett look a bit 'Tron Legacy' there. Samuel looks a little sad about being pushed all the way down to the bottom corner. The only MCU movie poster I've ever really cared for was the first 'Guardians of the Galaxy' one. Most of the others are mediocre at best. They're just ads though, and it's quite interesting to see everyone in a fighting stance except Cap. Perhaps subtly laying some of the groundwork for 'Civil War'.

Time to give this guy another outing, I think...
  10. Official poster reveal. It's probably too small to read on here, but the text at the bottom confirms that Hayley Atwell, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Don Cheadle, Idris Elba and Stellan Skarsgard are all going to appear in the film in some capacity. I'm guessing that's Vision above the Hulk's head, too.

From peak Liverpool to maximum Arsenal. Although the defeat to Monaco might have happened partly because Arsenal were rubbish, it was also because Monaco aren't. A deserved poke in the eye for the media's assumption of Premier League superiority over anyone who isn't Real Madrid, Barca or Bayern.

+1000 +1001 Good for Karlie if she wants to try other things. I don't see a career downturn in her immediate future, she comes across as too level-headed a person for that. Perhaps look for her NYU classes to become suddenly and mysteriously oversubscribed though.

Flip-flopping between two options. Based on the lead actor's appearance (I seem to remember him looking a lot scruffier in the other movie), I'm going to take a stab at Cross of Iron.

^ Today was an improvement on recent weeks, which admittedly isn't saying much. It could have been so different had the referee been strong enough to stand up for what was right (and oh, you know, applied the rules of the game properly), but the bottom line is that it was ours to win and we lacked that bit of craft needed to open them up. Meanwhile, we really have reached peak Liverpool. Rodgers claiming his team's potential to win a tournament that they've already been eliminated from in straightforward fashion, everybody else moaning about an alleged protocol breach which actually resulted in a win against seasoned European opposition. Also, Lampard and Gerrard both turned their hand to punditry this week, but can they co-exist in the same studio?
  25. First look at Jason Momoa's Aquaman. To be honest, I hadn't really prepared myself for a scenario where I actually quite liked the design. He must sing this though, or we riot!
