It looks decent but I am very skeptical about getting a good Indiana Jones movie in 2022. Crystal Skull has sort of cratered my expectations.

I don't think he hates playing for Belgium. He just doesn't like the way they play. He is used to possession based game. They were lumping the ball up field against Canada, which makes him essentially useless.

They are cynical and mean at times, but this is brushed aside and we are meant to pretend they only play beautiful football. They tried to reinjure Mitrovic damaged ankle. Then Casemiro was allowed to elbow not one but two Serbian players in the head without punishment. Those are just a few of the dirty plays they had in just the first game.

That is the weirdest thing: apparently there was no overarching story arc agreed upon for the three films, so Abrams and Johnson were just allowed to do their own thing? How do you curate a movie trilogy that way? It's amateur hour.

I don't understand why people single out TLJ as the worst of the Disney main trilogy. All three of those films aren't great. But Rise of the Skywalker is one of the worst movies (not just SW movies but movies) I have ever seen. Fuck off!

He is a cynical little man. I just wish the U.S. AG office had actually pursued its FIFA investigation instead of shutting it down in exchange of the U.S./Mexico/Canada being awarded the 2026 WC. It's pretty clear there are still a lot of people at FIFA who should really be in jail right now.

I'm not talking about Donald, I'm talking about a lot of the media personalities and GOP politicians who have since tried to minimize what happened that day.

Musk still claims he hasn't changed anything about content moderation. I have no idea if that is true or not.

I think DeSantis would be a weaker candidate for the GOP than Mitt Romney even was. But it seems Trump has become persona no grata for a lot of the older GOP leadership.

I think Trump has a far better chance than DeSantis, who the GOP seems to be rallying around to get rid of Trump. For one thing his national profile is already far bigger. And DeSantis always seems small to me when asked to operate outside of his Florida safe haven. I think the GOP hopes that Trump won't run so they can go with the safer candidate. But I think DeSantis is actually the weaker candidate by far. Just someone more willing to work with the old party hierarchy, like Mitch McConnell. Trump is more of a maverick and those guys don't like that.
