Earlier today I stumbled upon quite an interesting video detailing the development and eventual cancellation of George Miller's unmade Justice League project. Given what Miller accomplished with the Mad Max series, his vision for Justice League was always one of my favorite "what ifs" in the world of film, but being reminded of that got me thinking about how many more "what ifs" were out there. Are there any others, regardless of genre, era or reason for cancellation, that stand out as good examples?

Introduction to SOME of the years movies coming out that might interest you. Yes, I'm reallllly this bored. April April 15th The Amityville Horror On November 14, 1974, police received a frantic phone call that led them to a grisly crime scene at the Defeo residence in Amityville, Long Island – an entire family had been slaughtered in their beds. In the days that followed, Ronald Defeo confessed to methodically shooting his parents and four siblings while they slept. He claimed "voices" in the house drove him to commit the murders. One year later, George and Kathy Lutz and their children moved into the house thinking it would be their dream home. But shortly after sett…

I was so impressed by this movie that I simply had to start a thread. DC Comics put out a graphic novel in the mid eighties and this movie is based on that comic. While the story line deviates from the comics, it definitely captures the spirit. If you like great writing, intelligent storytelling, intense action, and wonderful acting...you'll love this movie. It's politically based and it hasn't come at a better time. Cast... Anne Rice's 'Vampire Chronicles' Returns, Who is Lestat?! We've been scrambling all week to confirm the following report, especially since it came from a very reliable source and is insanely logical considering the popularity of vampires these days. I guess something good has come from the success of Twilight as Bloody Disgusting has learned exclusively that Universal Pictures is looking to restart Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles, which tells the tale of the vampire Lestat Du Lioncort (through his narration), a nobleman-turned-vampire in the late 18th century. No word yet on how they plan on unrolling this franchise, but we did find out who they are talking with to rep…

I heard of this movie only a few days ago and immediately thought that it would be another blockbuster 2009 summer hit. Basically another superhero movie from DC comics , but I heard that the graphic novel was very good. Story outline:"Watchmen" is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the "Doomsday Clock" - which charts the USA's tension with the Soviet Union - is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. …

A place where fans of Westerns can kick back and talk about their favorites western movies and/or actors. The Western is a genre seen in film, television, radio, literature, painting and other visual arts. Westerns are devoted to telling stories set primarily in the later half of the 19th century in what became the Western United States (known as the American Old West or Wild West), but also in Western Canada, Mexico (The Wild Bunch, Vera Cruz), Alaska (The Far Country, North to Alaska) and even Australia (Quigley Down Under, The Proposition). Of course, there are many categories, there are the emotional ones, the action junkies, the intellectual ones... I don't want to list all because: 1) I don't want to stereotype, 2) I don't know how many categories there are. The action junkie just love actions, they don't care about the plot. They tend to watch dumb movies like Daredevil or Steven Seagal stuff. The emotional ones are those who loves corny flicks like Titanic and Lost In Translation. The intellectual ones have tend to watch movie that has a meaning like an artistic value or a reflection of the society's values and culture. That is, however, another type of intellectual ones, the not-so-intellectual …

I have this scene in my head, hopefully someone knows what it's from... some guy (probably not too tough) gets the snot beat out of him, I think in a bar. he's tossed out on his butt. I'm not sure if he goes right back in, or comes back after a while, but he goes back in and smacks a lot of guys around. I think it's unexpected, because he's not a bruiser himself. when he re-enters the bar, the bouncer steps to him and says something like "well, what the fk do you want??" after which he gets thrashed... anyone? thanks!

  25. I just saw this the other night and it was the funniest movie I've seen in a long time. It's done as a mockumentary and just had such an excellent cast.
