So I understand when models like Aube feel upset that social media models are doing the casting because they don't have a legit modeling career in fashion modeling but yet get invited to go to the casting for the biggest runway job in fashion modeling. PS: By social media models I don't mean fashion models who are popular in social media but the ones who gained success through "social media modeling". On another note, I'M VERY SHOCKED that Tako didn't even pass the pre-casting process. She stood out so much from the other models who went to the casting but then again who knows how she actually performed inside the casting room. I also thought that I-Hua could be VS material but she messed it up for herself with that hideous hair cut. I knew she wouldn't make it after seeing her with that hair cut. I mean I wasn’t the one who described them as powerhouses. Almost all the people you listed have either attended castings or walked the show lol . They’re still very much there. VS is just now incorporating a different method to get sales. Times change. At the end of the day it is a lingiere show not a fashion show, so hiring.fashion models only shouldn’t even be an option at this point. I'm hoping she'll make it kast year. Times have changed and VS been really struggling lately, so I completely understand why they would go for commercial girls who will reach more clients. I would also not compare the instagirls (or most of them) to glamour models. These women all have good agencies and work for other brands, sure you won't find them doing Dior shows and campaigns but they have worked with other commercial companies and magazines in the same ranks as VS. VS ain't no HF brand, their target audience are average american women so they need models who will reach them and sell those brans and panties, I don't really understand why some people talk about VS as if it was holier than thou when it's really in the same rank as Forever 21, American Eagle and all those other american brands, all they want from us is to pay $55 for a bra and $10 for panties. Bella and Gigi didn't do castings last year, Alexina is not going to castings this year I think because she's currently in Slovenia and I highly doubt she'll make it back to NYC before the 5th and there is absolutely no way in hell that she won't walk this year. We also know Sui didn't do castings last year (we saw her in the fittings doing her bodysuit way earlier in the year) and I expect her and Ming to not do castings this year tbh.
