The thing is, this administration is obscure and not strong and organized like Hitler's electorate.  He had millions of uniformed men in the S.A.  The comparisons make little sense.

Nevertheless, the extreme left-wing paramilitary groups are present, just like in the Weimar Republic.

I wonder what material they have on other members of his team.

If Trump keeps calling them bunch of Nazis, someone is bound to leak his shady tax returns :/

Just wait, this is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what has been swept under the rug of scandals/leaks!

The media is doing exactly what I thought last November: they are trying to sow seeds of mouth-frothing discontent and intense hatred of Trump.  There might be a rise of liberal populism.  There are some morons that are already gotten paranoid and are self-organizing.

Most paramilitary/militia groups in the US are far right, not left.

The significance of the political leaders must be very different in the small european countries.

The thing with the Third Reich was that Hitler rose to power on the backs of his SA (millions of men) and SS.  These were militarized people , many which had served in the Great War and then joined the Freikorps against the Red Front and other left wing elements.  The SS had no problem murdering their political enemies.  Hitler had his ideology that was generated by his Nazi press and won 1/3rd of the electorate and had intense popularity with this group.  He was also deeply compelling and brilliant to his believers.  Then he brokered deals with the German military, civil service, industrial CEOs and business groups for re-militarization.  He became a dictator on the back of a gigantic army group of political operatives and won support from the richest and most powerful components of German society.

Germany was the most militarized country in the world circa 1914 and the Prussian traditions remained, including their highly effective and regional military training institutions.  The military was always embedded in the DNA of the state, even though it was temporarily out of view.

IMHO Trump is a president elected on the basis of contempt for the establishment, and is just a weak opportunist that's trying to figure out what to do as he goes along.  Obama was more deliberate as he selected proven intellectual, corporate, and wall street ideologues in his early days.

Not sure what the reasoning is. The intelligence community should sit on information that portrays the administration in a negative light, even if it endangers American interests?

So you are among that people who think that negotiating with Russians "portrays the administration in a negative light".

"endangers American interests" - intelligence-military complex =/= USAmerica

The abrupt resignation Monday evening of White House national security adviser Michael Flynn is the culmination of a secret, months-long campaign by former Obama administration confidantes to handicap President Donald Trump's national security apparatus and preserve the nuclear deal with Iran, according to multiple sources in and out of the White House who described to the Washington Free Beacon a behind-the-scenes effort by these officials to plant a series of damaging stories about Flynn in the national media.

The effort, said to include former Obama administration adviser Ben Rhodes—the architect of a separate White House effort to create what he described as a pro-Iran echo chamber—included a small task force of Obama loyalists who deluged media outlets with stories aimed at eroding Flynn's credibility, multiple sources revealed.

The operation primarily focused on discrediting Flynn, an opponent of the Iran nuclear deal, in order to handicap the Trump administration's efforts to disclose secret details of the nuclear deal with Iran that had been long hidden by the Obama administration.

Exactly.  Ultra-communist groups like CIA and NSA, organized under the auspicies of Commandante Truman. Then there's the ordeal faced by conservatives  during the time of Joe Mccarthy, the great communist ideologue :ermm:

I surmise they are not the ones who ravage districts.
