Speaking of Kendall, why'd you think she wasn't cast? She was in the Angels book... I figured her going on and on and on about VS being her "dream" alluded to her being cast or something. I'm very relieved. Controversial but imo she doesn't have "IT" and would devalue the brand.

She's an average looking girl with a very famous sister, she wouldn't even be walking in New York and Paris without her sisters help. If things were different and the Kardashian name wasn't so big along with Kanye's fashion connections that girl wouldn't even be walking in LA Fashion Week and that's the truth.

 

 

She's pretty and all that but she just isn't special as a model. That's my opinion though. I actually think she wanted to become a model simply because she doesn't know what else to do/can't do something else. 

Kendall isn't in the VSFS so she shouldn't be a topic of conversation anyway.

I was wondering what segments you'd like to see some girls in? I was hoping Elsa, Jac, Sara and Josephine do Pink and then the fairy section I think they'll all look good in those sections but I doubt they'll get more than one look.

I wanna know what Dream Girls is about. Don't really get it. Is it supposed to be like during sleep? Cause Karlie's outfit has that wooden dreamcatcher look to it. Even though the designer said he was inspired by dragonflies.

for me, the best opening for Adriana is in 2008 and i love her last year for Parisian Nights :wub2:

I totally agree with this. Instead of being a normal 19 year old and futhering her education, she settles for jobs handed to her on a silver plater.

She was great in Parisian Nights last year. My favourite open of hers though is 2006. When she opened the second segment. That was probably her best walk. And the music was just boom and fierce.

yeah he said something like most designers get inspired by butterflies, but I was inspired by dragonflies.

I'd love for VS to go back to the 2001 format. A stream of beautiful woman walking, sexy simple lingerie, a minimal yet elegant setting that's changed color each segment and decent remixes with an orchestra, plus the editing wasn't dog shit. You go to see a lot more of the models & outfits without the camera cutting away every other second to show the audience, or backstage.

I loved the 2001 show. It's also one of my favs. 2005, 2003 and 2001 are probably the best shows they've put. I like how they also did model profiles on every girl, not just angels. Tyra's walk in that segment when it turned from white to pink is my all time fav walk

She's not as bad as everyone makes her out to be. She has a great walk. It isnt that strong but whatever VS want her to open so who cares. Really since Gisele's last open in 06, the opening walks haven't been so amazing and powerful. So what's the difference now?

Adriana's best one was 2003 obviously but 2010 is her recent one that was good.

Candice was better last year than her first time. I think it also doesn't help that the music choices haven't been the best.

And poor Alessandra opened the worst show ever in VS history. She did ok with what she was given.

Do you think VS knows 2009 was their worst show? Bc every year they say: this year is probably going to be the best in VS history (me thinks not )

It was Tyra's influence.

2002 was also good in terms of a classic show, with good music and building up the tension, normal walking models (except Tyra was crazy of course). Karolina was starting her nice pirouts. 

 

2003 looks a bit old fashioned to me. The Heroin segment reminds me a bit of the 90's with those colours. Still nice show and Adriana was at her best, I have to say. 

  Tyra's always been a bit of a train-wreck and even back in the day it wasn't uncommon for her to do something derpy on the runway.  Bad Tyra, bad! :persuazn:

I liked 2001 for sure. They need to change things up some but it would be difficult with how costumes have evolved since then. Dare I say some people would think it would be too basic and boring?

I'd love for VS to go back to the 2001 format. Absolutely agree. And Eva Herzigova was stunning. Adriana look good in the pink outfit, her walk was great. 

2005 was the best show minus Heidi and Seal singing together  :yuckky: . So glad Heidi left.
