A model icon list isn't a model icon list without her. ;) Thanks for posting the lineup Kat. I am very surprised no Christy Turlington or even Claudia Schiffer though.

It looks like there

If you look on Gisele's facebook under Likes, I really love how supportive Brazilians are towards her. Definitely her biggest fanbase and I think thats great.

Most Popular City: Sao Paulo, Brazil

http://www.facebook.com/Gisele/likes

Also on a sidenote: I've noticed that whenever she has a "controversy" Her twitter and facebook likes/followers increase dramatically within days.

I remember the breastfeeding debacle she gained 10,000 twitter followers in 2/3 days...I saw many people such as breastfeeding advocates and doctors start following her, so its nice to see her fanbase has expanded in more than just fangirls and fashion lovers. After the Superbowl its been no different. I watched her gain tons of followers (more than the norm), lol. No publicity is definitely the only bad publicity as they say I guess. and it also tells me that she gains fans for speaking up and having opinions, not loses them. interesting.

Websites are saying Gisele was ranked the #1 model of all time...

....

#1 Where is there a number beside the models names on TIME.com?

#2. Do people need to learn their ABC's again? The list is clearly in alphabetical order.

In the order they appeared on TIME's site:

Gisele Bundchen

Naomi Campbell

Cindy Crawford

Linda Evangelista

Iman

Beverly Johnson

Heidi Klum

Kate Moss

Jean Shrimpton

Twiggy

Gisele's photograph immortalized

Looks like Gisele has not only marked the career of designers and other professionals in the fashion industry. In a project created by the photographer Tim Mantoani, entitled Behind Photographs, the artist wanted to show the authors behind the most iconic images. The renowned Walter Chin chose as his favorite an image of our supermodel.

The photograph, clicked in New York, appears in the editorial of the January 2000 issue of Vanity Fair magazine, and not only marked Gisele’s career but it’s also a reference to many models that are starting off in the fashion world.

To register the photographers with their most memorable works, the creator of the project used the Polaroid 20x24 (one of the six cameras that exist worldwide) and portrayed beautiful images. Besides Gisele, the project also includes portraits of icons such as Marilyn Monroe, The Beatles, Che Guevara, Nelson Mandela, just to name a few. Also, the anonymous people who became known and immortalized through the lens of these great photographers.

To learn more about the project and also see the images, visit:www.mantoani.com

"Women are so unforgiving of themselves. No we are not all Gisele or Beyonce." “ Kelly Osbourne Glamour Magazine

more recent mentions.

"I think of Gisele Bundchen to get myself on the treadmill" - Emmy Rossum

On her Gisele Bündchen crush: “I have a top-five list, and Gisele is my number one. So she can do no wrong in my eyes. …everyone has a top-five list of their biggest crushes, you know? Usually, it’s guys on my list, but Gisele is just so perfect in every way.” - Brooklyn Decker

Gisele 5 years old niece (Duda :laugh:) is modeling for a kid brand in Brazil and that child is so so beautiful

Don't worry that's not her official name; its a nickname for "Eduarda" :p

I see the Bundchen gene in her alot. and she's lucky she has the same long golden flowy hair already.

I know many Leo fans are on BZ so I thought I'd post this. oddly enough I've never read it. From Gi's website about The Oscar's Night:

post-13850-1334789054_thumb.jpg

I remember someone saying the same about her dress - that she chose it because she wanted it to be Leo´s night :)

aw so nice of Gi to talk about this again after all this time!

I could easily get why she chose that dress and I really do respect that a lot! she's so much different from many other celebs, she knows what to wear and when!

she's always been so smart

thanks miche!

It was the perfect dress to wear in support of someone. Even before I read that bit on her website, I already knew that was her motive. ;) I remember people I think on here, wondering why she chose such an "unsexy" dress. uh I think too much leg, or too body hugging would have been inappropriate. Especially with Gi's bod. She looked effortlessly understated for the occasion. Although I still remember Cindy Crawford in va va voom Versace when she went to the Oscars with Richard Gere (but not sure if Gere was nominated or if they were just attending, so thats different if so).

The info from her web is not brand new, I think from 2006 or so. but I see her defensive-ness tone even back then. Wow she is forever having to explain herself to people. of course she would root for her bf, it doesn't mean she thought Jamie was bad or something.

yeah I read those posts here, they said Gi was wearing a curtain

also her make up was so simple and natural, I really like her Oscar look, suitable to such ceremony!

Awww thanks miche for that cute article thing about her oscars night
