Yeah that sucks, but at least he's not in pain anymore.

Very true. I know he was having a lot of arthritis pain for a long time too.

I'll have to watch it when things slow down for me.

I would say it's pure Sci Fi then like Star Trek.

It's much more realistic than Star Trek. ST uses the word science all the time, but they're "stretching" current scientific concept very strongly (with their "warp" and stuff like this). In the Expanse, a lot of things are really based on plausible physics (with a couple of "stretching" of current knowledge - like the Epstein drive - but even if this drive would be ground-breaking seen from today, it still "feels" plausible). It's with gravity that they are one of the most plausible Space Opera I know.

The biggest "new" physics are the extrasolar stuff (I won't say more to avoid spoilers), but the characters are as surprised as the viewer by this, so it "feels" realistic.

Also (and I may repeat myself on this one ), Star Trek, Star Wars and all these big productions are filled with bloody SJWs and PC scenarios! :cain:

1) I agree with what you are saying about The Expanse.

2) This needs an asterisk: These are in the Oughts and Newer. Old and original were not as bad at the morality plays. Sometimes they just wanted to have fun doing what they did.

agreeing with this redit post
