very disappointed in Carl Jung's material (looking at his "individuation: psychological types".  His basic concept of individuation is powerful but the manner in which he approaches it- by using world mythology, religion, literature, and philosophy-  is extremely clumsy and cryptic

He's a man of paradoxes. What this tells me is that everybody needs transcendence. Many of today's issues are linked with people lacking transcendence and inventing new ones in order to fill a void in their lives.
