That's my list. Matter of fact, I'm listening to Modern Guilt again right now! And I've just been given the Laura Marling CD to listen to - if she's on your list here, then I think we might be OK! thats haute Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 in fact...noi don't agreewith the exception of maybe 4 albumsTha Carter III?!give me something to put me out of my misery!...kidding Quote
TooBoku Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 No Lady GaGa? I swear, I can actually listen to "The Fame" in it's entirety and not get bored with a single track and that dancy music isn't usually what I dig but I dig it. Quote
red_ed Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Why is Mariah Carey in there? Granted I haven't listened to the cd, but I'm going to write it off on the fact that its Mariah Death Cab's Narrow Stairs was a disappointment. I'd be hard pressed to find anything redeeming in that album. I don't really buy into the Vampire Weekend hype either, but I can see why they could make the list. Quote
MattLoveModels Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Vampire Weekend deserve all the hype. they have their own sound. Quote
red_ed Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I give them a lot of credit for developing a unique sound (or being able to mix two different genres) but that doesn't make their music any more appealing than any other band in my books. Hence, why I can understand why they might be on the list but why I won't buy into the hype. Quote
Layla90 Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Why is Mariah Carey in there? Granted I haven't listened to the cd, but I'm going to write it off on the fact that its Mariah I totally agree with you Quote
