Cech with a howler! Ballack falls over! Zat Knight gets mega harshly sent off! Shevchenko scores the subsequent penalty! Curtis Davies is alive! Shevchenko rifles in a quick equaliser just after half time! Alex puts them ahead! Curtis Davies makes a really bad attempt at a sliding tackle! Martin Laursen equalises! Carvalho with a scumbag two footed death lunge on Gabby! Red card! Dubious free-kick awarded to Chelsea! Ballack takes it! Ballack scores! We dart up the field and...Cashley Cole handles on the line! Penalty! Red card! Stoppage time! Barry takes it and slides it in! Full time!So in a nutshell, a draw. How boring.
December 27, 200717 yr Who would've predicted this considering the miserable start the Mancs had? *sigh* I really had high hopes about them getting relegated
December 27, 200717 yr I'd say it was a two horse race at this point; I don't see Chelsea being able to sustain a threat and Liverpool won't be able to make up the points they need because they never beat the teams above them. The two turning points in Chelsea's season have both been caused by Villa, which is strangely comforting. The writing was on the wall for Mourinho after the 2-0 defeat and the realities of a team without Terry were exposed for all to see yesterday. Then there's the fact that Cech doesn't look fit, Carvalho is gonna be suspended, Lampard's injured, Drogba's gonna be unavailable for ages, the African Cup of Nations is coming up...the odds looked stacked against them. Special mention for Pizarro, who yesterday was the most woeful player on the pitch by a country mile. I was actually embarrassed for him.
December 28, 200717 yr And with only Arsenal's kids standing in their way, you'd have to favor Manure to reclaim this title at this point. They've been wavering in recent weeks, and they'll need to find some consistency again and hope that Manure slip up at least a few times.
December 28, 200717 yr Celtic v Barcelona Lyon v Man Utd Schalke 04 v FC Porto Liverpool v Inter Milan Roma v Real Madrid Arsenal v AC Milan Olympiacos v Chelsea Fenerbahce v FC Sevilla predictions?

December 28, 200717 yr BTW, when Mourinho was at Chelsea, they had never allowed 3 goals in a single game. :| Game against Villa was 4 to the floor. Congrats Fred

December 28, 200717 yr Did anyone call me?Celtic v BarcelonaLyon v Man UtdSchalke 04 v FC PortoLiverpool v Inter MilanRoma v Real MadridArsenal v AC MilanOlympiacos v ChelseaFenerbahce v FC SevillaAnd Arsenal - Milan was my final prediction. The team with the best football, versus the team with the best goodville. I just can't wait to see these games. Hoping Persie, Fabregas and Hleb will be able to play. If so Arsenal is one step forward. But still Kaka', Pirlo and probably Ronaldo, are the ones you should always have an eye on.
December 29, 200717 yr Nobody likes the Pippo, but his goalscoring record (especially in CL!) speaks for itself, I guess.
December 30, 200717 yr All these players I'd forgotten about are all of a sudden getting in amongst the action: Ballack...Eduardo...Saha...Curtis Davies. Bogey team alert! Let us all hope Ronaldo's horrendous missed penalty costs United the title.
December 31, 200717 yr eNe where have you been? :persuazn: Except this ==> :persuazn: <== emoticon, what a friendly welcoming. Trust me the only thing I have no time to explain is the "Where have I been" question. It has been a while from my last time here, and I had the busiest days of my life. I'm still a bit busy, but from now on I'll be at this thread for once a week. I missed this thread, and you guys a lot. But, please don't tell me that you missed my long ass posts! I'm (re)starting hommies -------------------------------------- Anyway, First of all, didn't I say: If Man U. blla blla blla... But hey, I want ManU to tra la la tri li li. . . , and then I'll laugh at them badly. Trust me or trust me not, THEY SUCK . Hell to the YEA! :hell yea!: And did our brother team prove me wrong? Hell to the NO! :blueeyedbaby: I feel that this two horse race will end by April 12th, when the Young Gunnners will destroy ManU in Old Trafford. *laughs evil-ly* Arsenal vs Milan is the match of the round in my opinion! Young vs old, raw vs experienced, fast vs slow, the masters of counter-attack, attack vs defence It'll be interesting how the teams play against each other because I can see this one going either way. Milan won't be able to keep up with Arsenal's youngsters at full flight for 90 minutes but one mistake, and Milan could damage Arsenal with their experience. And you forgot to mention the Pippo :| Pip-Who? Nobody likes the Pippo, but his goalscoring record (especially in CL!) speaks for itself, I guess. C'mon guys. Just like Ed said: He spends more energy celebrating a goal than in the lead-up to a goal :| I bet anyone, that he can't do any good thing against Arsenal. The only time he is dangerous is when ==>Milan is dominating the game, and create lots of occasions in the opponents zone<==, which IMO is the only impossible thing in this round. Last year I wasn't impressed by him. 4 goals in UCL, and them being 2 clear offsides(the one in group stages, and the one against Bayern), 1 IDNWINCAAAPG (I don't know why its not counted as an Andrea Pirlo Goal), and 1 goal they I give him some credit. Actually he also cosed Milan a goal at the final, where Kaka was leading his way to the goal, but the action was canceled, because Inzaghi ran thru that ball, and he was off side. I'd rather be afraid of young and (most likely) overrated Pato, then Pippo. Well, I stop right now, cause I don't want to have a Sneijder syndrome going around me. It'll be hard against Inter, but I have faith in Rafa's expertise in Europe. Still, I don't like drawing the most in form team in Europe The most important thing is to shut down the supply to Ibra and keep him subdued in my opinion. The others we can still deal with but if we let Ibra roam around he will damage us Hey, you pointed out that I forget Pippo, and you didn't mention Crespo. The only thing I know is that HE LOVES 'POOL. I remember the UCL 05's final, and he was brilliant. Also remembering the Chelsea's 3-0 win over Liverpool in the very next year, and he was the hero of the night with two goals scored plus an uncounted one. Anyway, Ibra and Cruz are hot also, and if Suazo plays, he may damage also. IMO the key is to avoid them play with the ball a lot, for which I suppose Babel is theright weapon(why he is not starting anyway? ). If Liverpool wins the first game, then they should use Crouch in the 2nd game, which will allow them play long ball, and he also will be there in corners, which is IMO Inters primar weapon against 'pool. Damn, these two series are so unpredictable. I thought Ronaldo was hectic last season, but this season he is scoring goals for fun and at this rate he could be top scorer in the league and rack up 30 goals...scary :| If only you give half of them are penalties :| BTW, he is lucky that vPersie got injured so early. This was supposed to be his year.
January 1, 200817 yr Dear world,Spurs are the fourth best team in London. Their ties with Arsenal are bound purely by geography, they are not 'rivals' in any competitive sense. Berbatov will leave. They will not be in Europe next season. They are not, and have never been, a big club. Got it, geezer? Nice one, guv'nor.Love,Frederick the Great
January 2, 200817 yr Celtic v Barcelona Lyon v Man Utd Schalke 04 v FC Porto Liverpool v Inter Milan Roma v Real Madrid Arsenal v AC Milan Olympiacos v Chelsea Fenerbahce v FC Sevilla predictions? Did anyone call me? Celtic v Barcelona Lyon v Man Utd Schalke 04 v FC Porto Liverpool v Inter Milan Roma v Real Madrid Arsenal v AC Milan Olympiacos v Chelsea Fenerbahce v FC Sevilla I'm sorry Ed, and I wish i'll be p[roven wrong for once again, but Inter is Honestly Off Track this season. But I expect great games. The only hope I have about Lyon is Juninho scoring a couple of freekicks, and then their defense to be able to stop Man U. But honestly its going to really hard. But hey, I want ManU to face Barca, or Inter, and then I'll laugh at them badly. Trust me or trust me not, THEY SUCK . The only thing good about them is they don't make mistakes against weaker teams. But no way they will make it anybetter in UCL, then a lucky semi. Roma - Real? Mark my words Roma - Real 2:0 Real - Roma 1:2 And Arsenal - Milan was my final prediction. Porto and Schalke have kinda equal forces, but I guess Porto will use the home adventage. Others are easy to predict. i really would love to see manu and chelskeeze get knocked out but then you're right, a manu beatdown by barca/inter would be delicious. i hope your ac milan-arsenal prediction will come true. i'm so nervous for my gunners. i'm scared of kaka frankly. go arsenal!
