borg Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 You can tell that she has already lost a lot of weight, like 80-85% of what she gained during the pregnancy, those legs are already of a pretty skinny woman for her height. Although she has always been more fattening in the upper body than in her legs, but she is already close to her normal weight. However, her face still looks a little plumper/swolled, I stand by my theory that she suffers from fluid retention in her face for some reason. Quote

However, her face still looks a little plumper/swolled, I stand by my theory that she suffers from fluid retention in her face for some reason. Yeah, Adriana always had skinny legs. When she gain enough weight for her legs to be just average sized, we know she gained ALOT of weight lol. So it makes sense that the first thing on her to get smaller are her legs. Well her arms still look a little bit bigger too so it makes sense her face still looks a bit plumper compared to her legs. But in general I agree. Adriana's upper body and lower body tend to be on the opposite ends in terms of weight distribution. Even when she was at her skinniest and she was naturally thin her waist would be thicker/more square. Those are def the areas she has the work THE hardest on. I agree about her face, its so annoying because of the constant accusation of fillers. If adriana does get fillers inserted in her cheeks, its not as much as people think. She already naturally has these high cheekbones, that you don't notice until she smiles/moves her face around. And like you said, when she isn't that thin the weight shows in her face first and the most. Like, someone like her does not need fillers lol. She would be dumb to do it, and I really don't think Adriana knowing how her face is more than anybody else thinks she needs extra filling in her cheek area. Also, I remember late last year in december, Adriana was seeing someone in brazil I think it was a lymph drainage specialist, to clearly remove like fluid and freeze the fat from her face. I remember because I was scared she was gonna do what Linda evanglista did to herself. I think maybe at that time Adriana didn't realize she was pregnant and thats why she was getting done. But yeah her doing that shows she isn't trying to make her face plumper but the opposite she is trying to reduce it. She just suffers from that at times. Sometimes it takes her being more disciplined with her diet to get rid of it I feel. But as long as she does not do that buccal fat removal though. So many celebs trying to also get rid of the plumping in their face they do that buccal fat removal and it ages them way more. I continue to hope she never feels like she should do that. But I think her face does look smaller than before. She just still has to keep working on it Quote

borg Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 That Kirk Myers guy doesn't stop tagging the Victoria's Secret account in every Adriana story he posts, I take it for granted that he has to know something more because he's been spending a lot of time with Adriana lately, as well as being business partners since he's the founder of Dogpound. Certainly, considering the job Adriana has to do for the gym, which is basically being an ambassador that makes the gym more famous, a return to the VS show talking about how she got back into shape after pregnancy at 42 (whenever the show she will have turned 42 by now), would make a great ad campaign for the gym. I definitely don't think it's a coincidence that, for the past few weeks, they've started posting content of Adriana training and tagging Victoria's Secret almost every day, when before we had hardly any content about Adriana, it seems like something planned. Although I still don't want her to return to VS and even less to the show, I think it's a closed stage of her career and VS is a company adrift. They already gave her a farewell, quite nice, truth be told, which even felt disrespectful from the brand for the big differences between the farewell they did to Adriana (the one she deserved) and the one they did to Alessandra (very poor in comparison), as much as Adriana has been more iconic and popular, I felt a little sorry for Alessandra for the difference that was seen in the treatment of each one, because Alessandra was not one more model of so many for VS. I'm pretty sure Adriana wasn't going to DogPound prior to them posting her. Kirk makes it known when Adriana is there. Even in Qatar it seems she maybe casually went once despite them being there. I recall Ana would post going to workout with them with other people and Adriana would never be there. I'm pretty sure she started training with Andre's friend this year who is a personal trainer. She promoted his class on her story and he was on their Brazil trip. I questioned this since she's literally an investor for DogPound and it would be a perfect time to promote DogPound as she is on a big weight loss journey. And now add the fact that she's planning a return to VS. The need to always employ Andre's friends and stuff is weird to me. About Alessandra... Adriana obviously always had a bigger impact on VS than her. There's actually other models I'd say had a bigger impact than Ale. Just because Ale was there nearly as long as Adriana doesn't mean she needed to have a big farewell thing as well if it simply wasn't as deserved. I don't think they needed to do a farewell for every model that left. Heck at least Ale got some recognition for when she left whereas everyones contracts quietly ended after the 2018 show. Quote

Well, I do remember what some users here said about alessandra's good bye from VS. Its even worse than what it already looked like. I will be honest, I almost found VS lack of regard and treatment of Alessandra weird. Its like they low key didn't like her. Alessandra leaving was not her choice (unlike Adriana apparently) and it was unexpected and short notice. They didn't even tell her in person but VIA email. It was pretty bad for Alessandra. Even Ed's speech to her was not heartfelt and was low key rude because he made fun of alessandra and her ex never getting married calling him her "forever fiance". Anyways, I do get why people sympathize for Alessandra hard about it. But Alessandra really never showed any angry or resentment towards Adriana herself. She has always been happy for Adriana and paid tribute to Adriana's time with VS. Also, honestly, I heard Alessandra was not a nice to work with on the VS set. Sometimes she was disrespectful, I heard. And I notice that VS tended to be more cut throat to models with those kinds of attitudes, ie Izabel goulart. I do believe those rumors because it helps me understand why Ale was never even given chances like Adriana was, besides the fact that Adriana was just awesome for the brand. I feel like if people aren't 100% happy adriana is back with VS, they are "low key" happy. I just hope when adriana does return to whatever else she will be doing (commercials, runway or lingerie photos) that she BRINGS IT and shows she still got it. Because thats the reason people are happy/excited about it. They want what she gave back, so if she gonna return she better give what she always does lol. As long as she still knows how to do that VS work well, its gonna be good. And at this point I think her working with them is more beneficial to her than them. Let her get her check, let her popularity continue to go on. And the fact that VS is potentially thinking about bringing models back and she the first one they ask says alot about her and its good. I get your point, Alessandra wasn't my favorite VS model either, but there's really no denying that she had a huge impact on the company. It is not that all the models that leave deserve a farewell, but after all, Alessandra is the 2nd model with the most shows done, 2 FB, dozens and dozens of campaigns, always appearing all the specials (Swim Special, Valentine's Day, Superbowl, Christmas and more), she definitely deserved more than a backstage farewell, if they really wanted to make things right. Here I agree with what @Souled-Out says, the company had their favorites and while you can clearly see that Adriana or Candice, for example, were some of the favorites, Alessandra was definitely never one of them. And this isn't necessarily something to blame for the company, Alessandra doesn't have Adriana's face, Candice's body or Gisele's talent as a model, but based on work, being a very constant model, who never missed a show, she never had a problem staying in shape year-round for any campaign during nearly two decades in the company's service and she never had any scandal, she became a major model for the brand. But obviously she was never one of the company's favorites, there are very obvious facts that confirm it, probably the most notorious is how long it took them to give her the FB. She started with VS in 2000 and they didn't give her the FB until 2012, 12 years later, no other model who wore the FB needed so many years to get it. And it seemed more like an obligation than because they really wanted to give it to her, it was like, well, this woman has been with us for 12 shows in a row, maybe it's already inevitable that we give her the FB, along the way they even gave it to Marisa Miller (!!) before her, they definitely didn't trust her at all. In addition, she "only" opened the show once (2009) and only closed it once (2017, the year of her retirement). I never read anything about her being a person with whom it is difficult to work, tbh, I don't know how true those rumors are, I wouldn't believe them very much. After all, she has always seemed to have a very good relationship with the rest of the models, about this she even seems much more friendly than Adriana and we know that Adriana has always been a wonderful person to work with. Of the few (because she's not the most popular celeb in the world either) stories I've read about her from fans who have met her, they all agree that she's nice. I also think that, in case she was problematic, the company would have cut her off immediately, like they did with Miranda Kerr (and you can tell they liked her way more than Ale), because with how little they liked her, if she were to give them trouble on top of that... There are also models who, due to some misunderstanding, get a bad name and that persecutes them in a completely unfair way, like the case of Taylor Hill, I have good information that, far from being problematic, she is one of the models with whom it's easier to work with, really nice girl. And she just was not able to make the same impact despite being there as long as Adriana. I think there are multiple other models who alot of people think of as having been VS angels before they think of Ale. I don't say this to hate on her. I. actually admire how she never seemed to be as bitter/jealous towards Adriana for living in her shadow while in VS. But if Ale had gotten a farewell as big as Adriana, it would have come off exactly like you said you saw how her getting the FB came off. That it was given more by default for her being there X amount of years. Anyways I had conflicting feelings about Adriana returning to VS as it simply isn't what it was. Ultimately tho, I don't see how it would hurt her. I'm sure she is gonna get a big check once they get her to model lingerie. Quote

I have been looking up Alessandra's fashion career and I noticed that though people always say she is one of the most known VS models, the fact is that Alessandra is not as close to VS as Adriana Lima and other many angels are. She did a lot of lingerie and swimwear campaigns for other brands since 2000, far more than other angels. I think it is unbearable for VS, looks like Alessandra used the fame given by VS, to advertise other competing company. That's the reason why we hardly see Adriana, Candice adverised for other underwear brand. Quote
