  1. Oh, well done buddy! That's a nice milestone and a great reason to celebrate. Sweden is proud. And see you at the 20k In the meantime:
  2. Olga De Mar [0] Jessica Balsaneli [2] Both my girls! Hard choice, it was.
  3. Well done and congrats. Family is one of the most important things in this world!

  5. @Stromboli1 I miss good old fashioned Star Wars
  6. Really? That's great. You can feel in her voice that she's a nice girl. IMO, many things can be heard through people's voices (but I'm gonna ramble on if I talk about that ) I remember her poster for the Paradis Latin where she had blue-white-red wings (this one). It looked really good, I'm sure it was a great show.
  7. Well, I miss that too. I like elegant people. That doesn't necessarily mean that the clothes should be expensive, but at least chosing quality fabrics, matching clothes/colors, etc. Also, clothes can be both comfy and classy. BTW, I really don't like slim fit trousers for men, but they are everywhere now...

  9. Alright. In a desert place, two guys accidentally meet: one Mexican and one Irish. They don't really like each other, but one plans to use the other for a robbery. Things get messed up and they both end up fighting a war they don't really understand.

  11. She was also in the 2012 issue of the South African version of the magazine. It's not as good as 2014 US, but it's still pretty good.
  12. Since you are an academic, you will surely read over what I wrote and realize that I didn't talk about trans people. I talked about loud voices, activists and bullies on twitter (and in the media). I specifically distinguished the common folks (including trans) from the activists. I said the "real people (whatever their gender, orientations, origins, etc.)" don't follow the activists and gurus. Trans people never elected the activists as their spokespersons. Assimilating trans people to the activists is precisely what the activists want. BTW, I didn't try to engage in an argument. I was just giving my opinion. Well, my reading of history suggests that historical activists acted based on a fair view of a social contract (inspired by people like Rousseau or Voltaire). They sought freedom, solidarity and equality (of opportunity). Today's activists hate freedom, they divide people into groups (which is, by essence, against solidarity), they preach for equality of outcome (a doctrine which has led to many disasters in the past). Very different principles. Very different type of activists. I didn't say they were all psychopaths/narcissists. I said "Most of them only want to subdue powerful folks" and I quoted a study that say that people with triad personalities now use victimhood techniques. That doesn't mean there aren't any victims in the world. That's precisely not the point. The point is that some wolves are disguised as sheeps.
  13. Fallout 3 was developped by Bethesda; it's a pretty good game, with its flaws, but all in all it was a fresh new start for the franchise (that was created by Interplay - Bethesda bought it after Interplay collapsed). The best games were Fallout 1, Fallout 2 (both developped by Interplay) and New Vegas (made by former Interplay employees). Interplay made complex stories and they created one of the most original and enjoyable universe. You should watch Fallout 1 and 2 videos. I'm sure you'll like them. 76 is a rip-off made by talentless hacks who wanted to milk the franchise while taking customers for fools. Fortunately, the Fallout community is smart and organized, so F76 was a huge failure (the difference with similar titles - like Fortshite - is that Fallout is more of an "adult" game and it's harder to manipulate adults than kids). This guy summarizes the issues with 76: I'm sure there is a wide audience for complex stories. Companies underestimate the intelligence of their customers. Fallout 1 was a commercial success and its narration is widely more complex that F3 or F4.
  14. Very interesting study.

Do you like bentos? We used to have a restaurant selling some close to where I lived with my ex gf. It was pretty good and not that expensive (that stuff can get very very expensive). It was in market that was often overcrowded, but it was worth it. I kinda miss it. We used to go there on saturdays/sundays too.
  16. Yeah, I like him. He's not the best characters, but he's quite interesting (particularly in the Witcher 2). Him, Iorveth and Roche are all pretty good characters in W2. I think he really fits the description of the typical witcher: detached. The opening scene in the Witcher 2 with him is real good. It's crude and brutal. It leaves you with many questions and a powerful character. Also, CD Projekt manages to let you somehow like this character in the witcher 2 even if he looks like the villain in the intro (something that Naughty Dog miserably failed at)
  17. Horizon ZD is the game that made me buy a PS4 Otherwise I would've stayed with PC only... I still buy all of my games on PC when they're not PS4 exclusives. Luckily, Xbox exclusives are either bad or inexistant. I would've hated to have to buy both a PS4 and an Xbox
  18. The game looks really good. I hear that Japanese reviews love it and they say it's really faithful. The graphics are beautiful and the gameplay looks nice. I don't mind that it's an AC-like gameplay. The only problem is it's another PS4 exclusive.... games look so much better on PC. I really don't get the point of consoles anyway (except to tie people to certain hardwares ). I already bought a PS4 to play some other exclusives (they already got me...), so I'll be able to play it eventually when I finish other games I'm playing atm.

  22. Oh, that's terrible... I hope something will rise from the ashes of SI eventually. Yep, me too. I also miss Hannah Ferguson, Lauren Mellor, Genevieve Morton, etc. They were wonderful models, with wonderful pictures. This photoshoot was one of my favorite. I'm sure people would be outraged by this today (a beautiful woman with generous breasts and a painted swimsuit... that's too beautiful for 2020)
