The first occasion this has happened in my lifetime! That being said, even after such a great result we must still stay alert for two potential banana skins - Sunderland away on Tuesday, then Stoke at home on Saturday. Complacency is a killer!- Football

Only a fool would discount the first two post-Peter albums! Its crazy to think that this once completely ignored thread is now over two years old! Anyway, yes The Lamb is still the best but I maintain that the greatness of Selling England by the Pound runs it a close second. The Battle of Epping Forest still blows my mind on a regular basis!- Diane Kruger
Another triumph in what has undoubtedly been the best year of Diane's career (so far).- The Recent Purchase Thread
The pre-Cassadaga output is mostly the goods; I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning being the most 'accessible'. The solo album he did last year was also pretty decent, though I haven't heard the Monsters of Folk stuff yet.- The Recent Purchase Thread
I could never get with this album, to me it was over produced and lacking in good melodies. That being said, Lime Tree is absolutely phenomenal.- Last.fm

Wow, maybe more than two people have watched that awful film.- Football
This was the first Champions League game I've watched this season. Juve were awful, if they're the second best team in Italy then Serie A has even more problems than I thought. Little tip: don't expect a bunch of over the hill defenders to stop someone like Olic on the counter attack. Still, it was about damn time Bayern got their act together.- Football
I love a good Charlize film as much as the next film buff (Reindeer Games, The Legend of Bagger Vance, these are the classics that will stand the test of time) and her beauty is undeniable but the draw itself was even more boring and slow than usual. Anticipating this, I turned on the TV 45 minutes after the draw was scheduled to begin, and sure enough, they had just started! God knows what they were doing beforehand, maybe an actors workshop, a set by Dave Matthews and something loosely related to Nelson Mandela? The mind boggles.- Football

Yeah, maybe. I don't really have any great kinship for the Brazilians ('least not the fellas, anyway) but I'd rather it was the Portugese that missed out, naturally for spiteful reasons. Apparently they (Brazil) are better in defence these days, but I honestly wouldn't know. To be fair, we seemed to do our best to make Trinidad & Tobago look like world beaters that day. What a pathetic performance.- Football

- Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2009 (POST-SHOW Thread)
You mean you don't get a thrill from knowing Dean Cain attends such prestigious events? Get outta town! The only time its ever genuinely troubled me was when they showed a gum chewing Jason Statham giving a cocky "she will be mine" look up at Candice. That was kind of unpleasant to watch, to be honest.- Guess The Movie Screenshot
This game is for the big dogs and make no mistake, The Baron is a big dog. He is correct.- Guess The Movie Screenshot

Sorry for the late reply I remember a series of ones like this, let's just say it didn't make me want to buy Rogers Yes, that's the one! The voiceover is slightly different than the one I saw but wow, there it is, three years later, every bit as smug as I remembered it being.
