That dude is a moron for posting pictures of them on social media in that state. Couples do film themselves having sex, but it's an intimate and private thing. Also a male airhead is called a mimbo.
I would say it's an ego thing too. Mostly every guy loves to show off their wives and girlfriends, but that brings jealousy and envy into their dynamic too.
I've already said the millennial and younger generations lack critical thinking. They're very good at labeling people without facts though.
