  4. Maybe we're lucky und Leo will be part of this project. Apple TV+ Sets Five-Part Documentary on Martin Scorsese, Directed by Rebecca Miller This could be an interesting watch. Martin Scorsese, the legendary director behind “Goodfellas,” “Taxi Driver,” and “Raging Bull,” has long chronicled the lives of others in iconic films and documentaries. Now, the camera turns toward him. Apple TV+ has greenlit “Mr. Scorsese,” a five-part documentary portrait of the acclaimed filmmaker, helmed by director Rebecca Miller (“Personal Velocity”). Miller, who is also the daughter of Arthur Miller and wife of Scorsese collaborator Daniel Day-Lewis, was granted rare, unrestricted access to Scorsese’s private archives. The series features candid new interviews with Scorsese, his family, and close collaborators including Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, Steven Spielberg, Thelma Schoonmaker, Sharon Stone, Mick Jagger, Jodie Foster, Margot Robbie, and Cate Blanchett. It also includes never-before-seen material from Scorsese’s personal and professional life. Spanning from his NYU student films like “The Big Shave” and “Who’s That Knocking at My Door” through his cinematic milestones, “Mr. Scorsese” explores how his personal journey shaped his groundbreaking artistry. And at 81, Scorsese isn’t slowing down—he’s made it clear: retirement isn’t on the horizon. The project began as a single film but evolved into a five-part series over five years. “His work and life are so vast and so compelling,” Miller says, “that the piece took on a life of its own.”

  10. Seems like the Evel Knievel biopic is not happening anymore... at least for now. Confirmed: Damien Chazelle’s Next Film is Prison-Set Thriller — His ‘Evel Knievel’ Project With DiCaprio Canned ... only months ago was in prep for a summer shoot for his Evel Knievel biopic that was to star Leonardo DiCaprio. But DiCaprio, after months of talks, made his own pivot, deciding to reteam with Martin Scorsese one more time due to the legendary filmmaker’s advancing age. (The Taxi Driver and Goodfellas director is 82.) A one point, Chazelle was working with DiCaprio on the prison project before the two focused on Knievel. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/daniel-craig-cillian-murphy-damien-chazelle-prison-drama-1236222985/
