It just follows the exact same plot/problems from the book. His assholeness in general, his status, money, the terrible parents confronting with her world less status and money etc. They hate each other, they like each other, they love each other and all over again.

That seem about right but I would consider the same age for books like I mentioned before Twilight, After etc It's young adult stuff.

The tv show is very close to the book actually. Almost 1:1 lol If you don't like the book you won't like the show.

I think most books about young adults are mainly written for young adults/teens like Bridgerton, Twilight, After, Save me, etc but also read by adults in general.

Rick Dalton in "Once Upon A Time in Hollywood" got happily married with italian actress Francesca Capucci. In GANGS OF NEW YORK his and Cameron Diaz' characters Amsterdam and Jenny ended up together. In BODY OF LIES there is hope for Roger and Aisha in the end.
