(94) Witcher 3 Hearts of Stone Walkthrough Part 1 All quests Death March (all side quests + commentary) - YouTube 10:41 "The world we must explore, virgin lands to discover, new knowledge garner to our brothers then to spread. For is there in life a beauty greater than to admire the new, to stand in awe of the never-ending creation of the world?" 20:39 "A life of plenty I would have lived at home, for the beauty and import of my art are respected. But such a life would be unfulfilled. Great and diverse is the world, for apace continues its creation. A riddle for which symbols speaks."

Putin and the Shoigu declare victory and 'full liberation' of the Luhansk People's Republic. So the next, never ending cycle of "death traps" claimed by the Ukrainian military and their propaganda turned out to be a farce. Lysychansk was abandoned with scattered groups of Territorial militia and national guard left, plus abandoned equipment. Russian LRP Militiamen and Chechen National Guard quickly took the city. Rumors are that the break-out happened last Thursday and the defenders of Lysychansk retreated into the Sivesk defense line. The Russian MOD also talks about how they are trying to catch all these disparate groups- presumably they avoided the roads and have trekked away from the city in groups. This clip appeared in Russian media.

Originally, a lot of Triss romance scenes were not included in the game. Then the playbase complained about this, and these new Triss scenes were added. I like them: https://youtu.be/UGU8ApMhlSQ Now that I've reached the ending of the base game it is evident that Ciri's This makes all these reunions that much more significant!

As I am finishing up the base game, I am convinced that the "Empress" ending for Ciri is the wrong one. In their quest writing/design, CDPR continues the themes/viewpoints of Sapkowski, who wrote with great contempt/satire for power and political life. They favor friends and family in the immediate moment and not sacrificing these for far-off dreams & delusions of grandeur. Also the Triss ending has a poison pill- The most favorable endings are in fact the book friendly endings- Yennefer romance and Ciri as a Witcher. The Triss ending is consistent with the novels' characterization about how she is always interested in political activism, and Yennefer as more as a "reluctant" and confused sorceress who wants to be a mother and no longer wants a political life. (93) The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - All Ending Variations - YouTube The Blood and Wine expansion provides more details to the endings. I think the details are cleverly written.

(93) Witcher 3 Complete Walkthrough Part 83 All quests Death March (all side quests + commentary) - YouTube 43:19 bombshell of a revelation- a few more details on CDPR's continuation of the end of the novels and the beginning of Witcher 1. Witcher 1 begins with Geralt wandering around the woods near Kaer Mohren, half naked. So the Witcher games begin with Eredin and the Wild Hunt kidnapping Geralt and Yennefer. Ciri teleports to Geralt's location, grabs him and deposits him at Kaer Mohren, then runs away to avoid the Wild Hunt from jumping into Kaer Mohren. Some people in fandom say that the final act of the base game was actually rushed. I am starting to understand why they say this. They should have put a quest to 1. segway the end of the novels with Witcher 1, to really illustrate what happened rather than provide the player with a few lines of lore dialogue. (include flashbacks for Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer). That would be awesome and would really complete the main story. 2. The extreme detail provided for so many side quests and main quests contrasts with how they did not include what was the most important side quest of all. 3. Include 1-2 more main quests for the player to know Avallach and Eredin better, in order to give the finale more weight. 4. Fandom also say that there was supposed to be a series of side quests featuring the Witches of the Lodge. And a big side quest involving the "Devil's Pit" in Velen. CDPR also gives an ending for the "magic university" of Aretuza, depicted a ton in the show. I really like how CDPR pushed the envelope further and continued Sapkowski's vision by doubling down on the devastation of the sorceresses.

A lot of Novigrad/Oxenfurt quests come across as being influenced by Charles Dickens and other English authors. (93) The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Sile de Tansarville's Fate (both versions) - YouTube The significance of Sile (Books and Witcher 2) makes more sense now. It is interesting that CDPR write an ending for her, and in-line with Sapkowski's views. (94) Witcher 3 Complete Walkthrough Part 84 All quests Death March (all side quests + commentary) - YouTube 1:32 love the quip at the end!

About 36 hrs ago the Russians took the Lysychansk Oil refinery. The Russians have over the past couple of hours nearly cut off the Lysychansk pocket. There is just one good road left for the trapped Ukrainian formations to escape. They will either get encircled or will try to break out, which would be a fiasco for them. Russian sources map. The Russian state media, TASS has told the Russian people that after the Ukrainian withdrawal from the Luhansk Oblast, they anticipate a Ukrainian retreat to the Sivesk defensive line. This will be the location of the next Russian offensive. : Given the Ukr leadership statements, I estimate that the Ukrainian military is losing between 600+ to a minimum of 100 killed a day. So that is approx. 3,600+ casualties to a minimum of 400 casualties. If the Ukrainians took 200 KIA a day for the first 130 days of the war, that is a maximum of 26,000+ dead. Total casualties are 156,000 (KIA, WIA, MIA) to a minimum of 104,000. If the Ukrainians took 300 KIA day for the first 130 days, it is a maximum of 39,000+ dead. Total casualties are 234,000 + to a minimum of 156,000. If the Ukrainians took 400 KIA a day for the first 130 days, it is a maximum of 52,000 + dead Total casualties are 312,000+ to a minimum of 208,000. -------------------- Having studied this war everyday I believe that the minimum Ukrainian death count is 200 killed a day for 130 days. So the minimum losses for the Ukrainian military is between 156,000-104,000 men, including 26,000 dead Ukrainian solders. The real loses are higher than this.
