This mod was in the process of being made before the W3 so it made some errors by the time it released in 2020. I really like how the mod includes the missing content from the games- Geralt's time with the Wild Hunt.

@Enrico_sw @SympathysSilhouette I'm doing Farewell to the White Wolf and find that it is actually really well researched and written. It is fanfiction that makes sense. If you guys are interested about the probable fates of many of the characters from the games, the footage can be skimmed around. As I'm reading the subtitles in the characters' voices, I find myself reasonably immersed into what's going on. They also made Kaer Morhen with the W2 engine as a main setting.

Most of the actors admit that they didn't read the books: I wouldn't be surprised if the Witcher actors - outside of superman- read or played the games.

Children of Hurin was super boring. I kept on zoning out while it was on. I understand why Tolkien never published it despite many edits. The villain's name "Morgoth" and "lands between" made its way into Elden Ring. On the other hand Game of Thrones is skillfully written and engaging. GRRM is really good at writing things from the perspective of children and good at writing witty dialogue. The Lord of the Rings trilogy is also engaging, but more in the area of detailed description rather than dialogue. Fellowship of the Ring and Return of the King are better than the Two Towers. LOTR is more artistically written than GOT. Tolkien was a good illustrator and had extensively planned his world building/lore before he made the trilogy.

I like real time strategy games like Starcraft, Age of Empires, etc. However the genre has fallen out of favor. There was no starcraft 3.

Before watching, the Ciri/Hjalmar option requires some creative writing to get it done. Overall, the premise is weird. In the W3 the two characters do not interact at all. Hjalmar only says a bit to Geralt about Ciri in the W3, recalling events from the novels where they had a childhood crush (around 12-14 yrs old..). Sapkowski writes Hjalmar as a kid, nothing special really. Then in the CDPR Skellige storyline the adult Hjalmar is revealed to be a dilemma- likeable in some ways, and a complete jackass in others. His King ending is a bad one, due to his mad lust for violent honor. Gallahad, the other option is from the novels. It is canon. But the problem however is that Sapkowski gave him very little characterization outside of being an average Toussant-like knight. He is supposed to be an empty vessel for the Reader to imagine. In a way I see the CDPR knight from the Tourney quests to be a slightly perverse interpretation of this character. Neither characters are compelling romantic interests for Ciri. It would take some serious fan fiction to make it seem right.

I dunno, it seems like her beauty is the most important part of her 'career' lol.
