Galadriel has turned out to be a flawed character. Not very goddess-like or wise, extremely serious, no sense of humor, bull-headed, a zealot. I think one of the fan criticisms of her character writing- that she is too immature to be an ancient being- is on the mark. I was expecting a Galadriel that was more like the one in Fellowship of the Ring, but instead the character comes across as a young, troubled person. I think the theory that Halbrand is Sauron is making some sense. Season 1 may be about the gang defeating Adar, and Sauron taking over his position. Next season will be about the forging of the Rings.

I saw Adar for the first time in Rings of Power. He is played by the same actor as Benjin Stark from GOT. My favorite character of the show so far, love the acting and nods to Brando and the great novella.. Heart of Darkness/ great film Apocalypse Now.

The actor that played Benjan Stark in GOT is playing Adar. I got to say that this was an excellent scene and well acted, the best I've seen so far. This might be my favorite character so far in the show. I think the writing and acting for his character is strongly influenced by Marlon Brando's role as Colonel Kurtz in Apocalypse Now. They even say some similar things. Love it.

These are the new actresses that will be playing adult Alicent and R. It is interesting to me that the R actress looks considerably different, and harsher. It might have to do with the type of person she becomes as an adult vs the teenager.

Elden Ring! This dragon armor from HOD is in the Souls games. At least something very similar.

Episode 4 dropped. My interest in this show has totally declined compared to House of the Dragon. I didn't even watch past episode 1 yet. I started Episode 2, didn't like it and switched to HOD.

The story of King J, who is in the opening scene of Episode 1 is actually really involved. However it is really the story of a 'good' king, it was possibly passed over because of that. It remains to be seen if HBO will do a season on his rule. Prior to his arc, the Aegon I and his children also form another arc and another potential season. Or the two stories could be rolled into 1 fast-paced season? Pretty interesting comments here. So do you guys think that remaining unmarried and with young women is an important part of Dicarpio's business of being a movie star? Once actors/actresses get married they lose something in the public eye.
