Thanks for the tip! I do remember re-reading the title to make sure that it didn’t say “spring break” because the thumbnail looked like a promo for PINK. It’d be just Victoria’s Secret’s style to have these grown women do the cutesy stuff like they are still going on a spring break and their lives consist of taking pictures of themselves with their friends for social media.

I still remember a time when Angeldom was coveted/the pinnacle of one’s modelling career and those who turned down the Angel contract were thought of as crazy. I bet Barbara Palvin for Agent Provocateur will be sexier than anything Victoria’s Secret releases this spring.

It’s a dangerous thing… If Yu Tsai was found guilty of sexual harassment, it’d look really bad that he was one of the photographers in an issue with a #metoo theme. In addition, Ebonee Davis is one of the models in that layout. She is friends with David Bellemere who The Boston Globe exposed for sexually harassing models he works with. If she shoots with him in the future… Not a good look at all for the magazine.

VS needs to stop with offering only 100k-200k for an Angel contract. Not everyone is so desperate for it that they’d be eternally grateful just to get the title and wings (like Josephine) especially when you’d still have to compete with a bunch of other women for attention as an Angel and you would not be among A-list names only (like back in the day with the likes of Gisele, Heidi, Tyra etc.) And a lot of the merch in these recent catalogue pictures look… not cute. No wonder sales are declining.
