Um Novo Homem Todo Dia | Gillette & Neymar Jr. https://apnews.com/10ecc3bcc07a42e6b0ec89ebba3499c9 What is the truth? Indeed, he did not admit to embellishing at first but instead defended his actions on the pitch. He did poke fun at himself on at least 3 occasions. However, he would have gotten ridiculed and memed even harder if he had gotten mad about it. The ad seems to say that those fouls did hurt but that he also needs to mature. I think it’s possible that there were several reasons for his antics such as: - Fear of getting injured - Not wanting the opponent to get an unfair advantage because getting fouled, even if it’s minor, means that he can’t perform to the best of his abilities - Covering up that he wasn’t in top form due to not having played much because he had been recovering from surgery (indirectly admits to it in the ad when he says he crumbled?) - Strategy – waste time on the clock, frustrate the opponent, seek a penalty shot because it’s the best opportunity to score, get a water break etc. for your teammates, possibly get a red card for your opponent – it not being good sportsmanship doesn’t seem to matter much when the opponent isn’t exactly fair play either and you could win the World Cup - Getting personal, getting even – when an opponent he has been squabbling with commits a foul, it can be a “Gotcha!” moment for him so he then tries to get the opponent booked, trolls him, makes it a shitshow to him too - Flashy playing style invites opponents to foul him, he was the most fouled player in the tournament but the rules are the same for everyone and he thinks that the referees need to protect him more (relates to not wanting to get hurt because sometimes the only way opponents can stop him is by kicking him on the legs) - Personality – he can be hot-headed, he is an emotional player so exaggerating, having all of the attention on him, histrionics seem to fit that, he doesn’t get embarrassed or feel emasculated by rolling around etc. after small contact maybe because he is still secure in the knowledge that he is one of the best players in the world and everyone else knows it too and admits it even if they don’t like him – but this ties into the whole being a brat and needing to mature thing Hopefully, he will change, and this is not just panic from his sponsors. I think the rules will change too after this controversy like VAR will get to review possible dives. But I suspect that it will take a long time before the sport can be rid of embellishment by players because feeling pain is so subjective. But VAR should still be able to call out blatant Neymar-like overreactions.

Hahaa, I like that she just said Lewis Hamilton and did not try to play coy
  6. I like her ASMR videos. Non-adult. For me, in general, best played as background noise. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXGrZqnzjTzus1t752FPi8w/videos

Interesting! Thanks! Dolphin smooth P.S. There are rumours that Cavani might go to Real Madrid. I’d like to see Neymar, Mbappé and Cavani as a trio for PSG next season. However, I feel a bit bad for Cavani for having to give up free kicks, penalties etc. for Neymar so if he got to play a big role in Real Madrid, I’d be happy for him.
  16. I dunno, I mean, I can see why imagining her daughter seeing some of her SI pictures would make her feel a bit embarrassed: SI has gone more towards a men’s magazine feel instead of keeping the vibe that they shoot elite models with the best photographers in the world’s most exotic locations. The pic above is more pin-up poster rather than fashion photography.

What is the whole saga? In this video, https://streamable.com/a1kp3 the crowd keeps whistling him whenever he is on the ball. It upsets Griezmann. Another player gets the crowd to start cheering for him but it’s still not enough. Were the supporters mad because they thought that he was gonna ditch the club for a better ranking one? And then he made a documentary about staying? I think he wouldn’t be in tears at that point if he knew that he was staying? At least I’d have an attitude that’d be more like “Fuck all y’all, I’m more loyal than you are.”

Aerodynamic?! Is it a cultural thing? Like it’d be embarrassing to go on the pitch with hairy legs? Or players just wanna look good for the cameras?

That’s unfortunate to hear. I remember Sofia Vergara telling on Howard Stern how she didn’t used to do good in auditions because she was too focused on trying to pronounce English correctly. When she started to just speak with her accent, she started to get success. She agreed that not everyone is able to learn to speak another language with a proper accent. So, it’s better to be natural than to be preoccupied with trying to speak perfectly. They hired Adriana Lima, they wanted her accent and all, so she should have just been herself.

@Stromboli1 What do the players do to get silky smooth legs like these? (4:24) Do they shave so that any tape won’t stick to body hair? Any other reasons (aside from possible aesthetics)?

  23. Thanks for explaining! It’s true that SI has went into a raunchier direction with the poses, swimsuits, models, and even video captions on YouTube. Not really that “rare sighting of a top fashion model doing a sexy swimsuit shoot” vibe but rather bikini models (and now Instagram models) doing semi nude beach shoots.

Thank you, @a! I like that she is friends with Lewis and is actually into motor sports.
