    NBA

These series get more and more interesting. Rockets, even without no Yao CRUSHED US. And tonight WE CRUSHED THEM!!! But wait, it gets better. We best them by 40 POINTS!!! :| Hopefully the Lakers can keep this high and finish the Rockets off Thursday. Maybe I was wrong about the Celtics. I didn't think they were gonna make it out the 2nd round. They still might not, but they got the upper hand tonight. They gotta go back to Orlando, but at the very least they guaranteed at game 7 on their home court. Plus, History is on their side. When up 3-2 in a series, the Celtics are 32-0!!! First time for everything, though. Don't really care who wins, but a good series is a good series. The NBA admitted that the referees made a serious error in game 3 when that foul at the end of the game was not called. But, hey, you can't turn back the clock after the game is said and done, right. Series could have been 2-2, instead it is 3-1. That's pretty amazing in itself. Dallas get to fight another day by winning game 4. Denver is gonna probably kill them and advance to the Western Conference Finals and see how the Rockets-Lakers series plays out. Till next time, GO PURPLE AND GOLD!!! P.S. I didn't even notice, Joe. Either way, I knew what you meant, so the hug emotion was not sarcastic.

Thanks. And that Lakers didn't disappoint me. Did ya see the game? I LOVED IT!!! No Fisher, NO PROBLEM!!! Ok, maybe that was a little extreme, but we were able to pull out a hard fought, tough victory, with Farmer filling in pretty nicely. And Kobe, what can I say? The guy is like the Kanye West song: SO AMAZING!!! They contested just about every shot and they still could not stop him. Now that the Lakers got game 3, we are good. However, they can't let up. Gotta keep that intensity up. My 5 game prediction is still possible, and now that Yao Ming is injured and questionable for game 4, hey, hey, HEY!!! Artest might miss game 4 as well, but not because of injury. WTF was up with that HARD FOUL on Gasol? I was near the end of the game, and no major confrontations during the 2 teams during the game. FUCKIN' THUG!!! :blueeyedbaby: :anger: A flagrant 2 means you miss a game, right? Joe, was it good for you? You are so objective here. Do you have a team to root for, or are one of those FAIRWEATHER FANS?

He is nowhere near as cocky and and arrogant as KANYE WEST!!! Sure, Kobe has attitude and bravado. However, I doubt he becomes a whiny bitch when he doesn't win a award. I'm sure he had no problems with LeBron getting the MVP this year. Also, he acknowledges that Michael Jordan is the greatest player of all-time. Kanye thinks he is one of the greatest rappers of all-time. Greatest rapper of ALL-TIME?! KANYE?! There are 3 main reasons why Kanye is not even on that list: 1. Greatest rapper of all-time is 2PAC!!! 2. You gotta have a track record to even be mentioned on that list. 3 albums don't cut it. and 3. Last album, wasn't EVEN A RAP RECORD!!! He was trying to sing, and using a vocoder. 808 and Heartbreak? More 808 and NO HIGH NOTES!!! :yuckky: :x Um, OK!!! Thanks for reiterating MY POINT!!!

You sure about that? Maybe it is just me, but the most hyped and shit talkers in boxing seem to come from that country. Hatton, Prince Naseem Hamed, and now David Haye. The first two talked the most and were hyped the most, but both folded when they fought legitimate fighters in their prime. Both looked good against no-name fighters and good fighters who were over the hill. And with Haye fighting Klitschko, I guess I'm gonna be singing 'Another Brit BITES THE DUST!!!' CLAP-CLAP!!!

^ What she said. Unfortunately, sweetandlow, D Fish also got a 1 game suspension for his effort as well. Not like that fucker Scola didn't deserve to get leveled. Trash-talking is cool, but getting all up in Odom's face and grabbing his jersey, somebody had to show him how the people who rep this town GET DOWN!!! As for Artest, does it even need to be explained?! That high-rise East Coast project thug is infamous for his bad attitude, arrogance, and thugness. <_< Kobe got a flagrant today for his effort, but will play tomorrow in Houston. Should Artest blow up again, he will be the next player to be suspended. After last night, the officials are gonna try to not let this get outta hand. Everybody on the court and bench best be on their BEST BEHAVIOR!!! Until next time, GO PURPLE AND GOLD!!!

Well, that was the point. You wanna hate something else about L.A., check out my TRUE BLUE DODGERS. They have won 12 straight games at home. Tied a MLB RECORD!!! :blueeyedbaby: And if they win tonight, the record belongs ALL TO THEM!!! Look at the bright side, Matt. You will like the Lakers again. After all, you can't harbor much hate on the Laker's biggest star and your hometown boy, right?

Whatever. Lakers rep my city, I rep the Lakers. The English, on the other hand hype themselves up. Hatton was talking big ish about how he was SOOO MUCH BETTER than Mayweather and Pacquiao prior to the fights they had. Did you see the 24/7s' on HBO? After Floyd put it on him, he says it was a fluke and blamed the referee. The Brits, sissy boys they are, agreed with him. SORE LOSERS THEY ARE!!! Prior to the fight with Pacquiao, he said Manny's victory over Oscar wasn't legit because DLH was a shell of himself. ARROGANCE!!! And when Pacquiao put it on him  :hell yea!: :blueeyedbaby: , well you really can't say anything when the guy takes you out in 2 ROUNDS!!! Haye is hopefully the next Brit bout to go down. See, that is how it is, on a individual level with the Limeys. I love my Lakers, and I think they are the best NBA team right now. However, that is popular opinion. Are we the best NBA team. Time will tell.

None of the other Lakers were doing much, so Kobe tried to take over the game. They had a bad game, and they will do better next game. And hey, Lakers lost the 1st game at home in the 2001 finals, REMEMBER, MATT? The Lakers picked themselves up, and took care of business. Maybe Houston was better than we thought, but I predicted the Lakers will win in 5, and I'm stickin' to it until its numerically impossible. GO PURPLE AND GOLD!!!

    Boxing

I always knew that Hatton was nothing but another hyped up British fighter. And I hate the ENGLISH!!! ARROGANT THEY ARE!!! Pacquiao is still the No.#1 p4p king, and with Mayweather coming back, and Cotto fighting next month, the future of boxing looks very BRIGHT!!! Imagine the possible matchups later this year. Obviously will want to see Pacquiao vs. Mayweather. I still ride with Floyd, but with Arum involved, might not happen. Cotto-Pacquiao is possible. Mosley might be involved in the mix as well.

P.S. Both Bulls-Celtics series as well at the Hawks-Heat series are both going to a decisive 7th game. The Bulls and Celtics have had the hardest series so far. Last game went into TRIPLE OVERTIME!!! And let's not forget that DOT game and the other 2 overtimes game they had against each other. As for the Hawks-Heat series, both teams then to get blown out when they are on their opponents' floor, BIG TIME!!! :| I have no idea who is gonna advance in either series. I'm gonna be watching the Pacquiao-Hatton fight, so I won't be able to check out the Bulls-Celtics game. However, my question is this: Regardless of who advances, will either team have ANYTHING LEFT when they face Orlando and Cleveland, respectively?!

    NBA

They are my Lakers as well. Matter of face, I'm their biggest cheerleader here. My avatar PROVES IT!!! :blueeyedbaby: Purple and gold ALL DAY!!! Rockets is next, and no more bad games, getting lazy and/or overconfident. Lakers gonna go hard on 'em. Then, we(yes,we) just gonna chill and watch Denver and Dallas soften each other up for the Conference finals. They are gonna be exhausted once they step into the land and Drivebys' and Palm Trees.

    NBA

See? I told ya to go to Citizen's Ballpark and enjoy the Phils play. Now you have no OTHER CHOICE!!! And look, the Rockets finally got past the 1st round. Bout F'N TIME!!! So, now the Rockets gotta step up to the Lakers. Question is, can they swim? Houston, as we say in L.A., LET'S GET IT CRACKIN'!!! :lullaby: :blueeyedbaby:
  14. k_dub

    NBA

Yeah, the Blazers did win. Besides, the Rockets have been to the playoffs many times, and so far, the experience didn't matter. Besides, I ain't complaining. Longer they go, more worse for wear when they step to the Lakers. Like I said, be proud of your Sixers. You put on a good show, made the series interesting. Now go to Citizens and watch the Phillies as they are turning it around, getting hot. Bulls-Celtics series going back and forth. 4 OVERTIMES!!! So far, that has been the most exciting series. Maybe I didn't expect the Bulls to be so good. However, I feel most people didn't think so either. Figures, though, considering how the Celtics did last year in the 1st round. The series might go 7. Don't know who's gonna win, but the Celtics have history on their side. Last time a 7th seed beat a 2 seed, the 1st round still were the best 3 out of 5.
  15. k_dub

    NBA

Interesting way to look at it. Either way, a L is a L. They are the higher seed, and they are losing. Granted, it's 4th seed vs. 5th. Yet, the Blazers and Spurs are the only 2 teams to lose the home field advantage in this round. However, Spurs are without Ginobili, so they have an excuse. What is Portland's excuse? They ARE young. RIGHT!!! You talk 'em up big, and now find an excuse when your original BS doesn't hold up. I say the Lakers win over Houston in 5. Dallas is hot, but they are gonna have their hands' full with the Nuggets in the 2nd round. Sixers had their time to shine, but with Orlando fully healthy, I think this series is done. Look at the bright side, Matt. Your boys from Philly made the series competitive. Besides, Orlando has to advance to make the 2nd round in the East look interesting. Everybody knows the Sixers wouldn't stand a chance vs. Boston or Chicago.
  16. k_dub

    NBA

No need for the hick talk. However, I feel more sorry for the B-Ball fans who didn't see the Celtics/Bulls game yesterday. MAD DRAMA!!! 3 pointers at the buzzer, lead changes back and forth, missed free throws that could have ended the game sooner, double overtime. DOUBLE OVERTIME?! When is the last time you guys saw a playoff game go DOT? Gordon and Rose are one hell of a 1-2 punch. Series is tied 2-2, but I think the Bulls have the advantage now. Both teams proved they can win on the road, but Chi-town has the momentum of winning the most dramatic game of the series so far. Knowing if they win game 5 they can close it out in Chicago doesn't hurt. Cleveland swept the Pistons. Nuff said about that series. Looks like Orlando righted the ship. Another series at 2-2, but it looks like Turkoglu is finally healthy. Rashard looks good too, They should close the series in 6. I ain't gonna sleep on the Sixers, though. Never know in the playoffs. Lakers, Lakers, Lakers. I LOVE MY LAKERS!!! Should take care of the Jazz tonight. Then we wait. HAHAHAHA!!! Matt and Sympathy, u 2 actually thought the BLAZERS were gonna make some noise?! Are you two just , or were you guys :atoobie:? They are down 3-1 to the Rockets, and I have a feeling this series ain't going back to Houston. So how do you think Houston and Yao will do vs. Kobe and my Lakers?
  17. k_dub

    NBA

70% of the time, which means that their is a 30% flipside to that coin, like last year. You still talkin' about the 2001 Finals? Don't you remember who WON THAT YEAR?! :blueeyedbaby: East was weak that year, anyway. From the 1st from the 8th seed could have went to the Finals. Lakers ran through everybody in the West, though. Nobody even won a game. Consider yourselves lucky that you won that one game.
  18. k_dub

    NBA

Those teams are gonna be tired once they step into L.A. Fisher as a starter and Farmar as a back-up is not that bad. I ain't worried about Utah. They can't win a game at Staples. Lost 11 straight there, including playoffs. And the Lakers will win at least on in SLC. As far as the Blazers are concerned, they better get it together, or the Rockets are gonna advance instead of them. They gotta play the next 2 in Houston, and I think the home team wins one of those. Conference finals should be easy. However, the Nuggets could make it interesting. However, whether they face Dallas or SA, that's gonna be a tough series. If its the Mavs, they might be able to pull off a upset, though that is unlikely. Still, they are gonna be tired once they step to the Lakers, who should be fresher. Cavs will probably sweep the Pistons. They beat the Heat, too. Still will be fun to watch 2 possible MVP players go at each other. For the Conference Finals, they will likely face Orlando. Celtics with no KG won't get past the 2nd round, especially considering the fact that the Magic will probably be at full strength when that series goes down. Cavs will most likely win, but Orlando is gonna make it interesting. 6 games, at least.
  19. k_dub

    NBA

My bad. Yeah, the Bulls will give Boston some problems, no doubt. Plus, I heard that KG might be lost FOR THE YEAR!!! Sixers have a change to maybe advance to the 2nd round. Magic might be a dark horse behind Boston and Cleveland, but the injuries to Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu will hamper them some. They might be able to play, but they won't be at their best. Matt, seriously, the Blazers making some noise?! Against who? NOT US!!! They take out Houston, big deal. Rockets are infamous for not getting past the 2nd round. Now the Nuggets, that looks like a team to be reckoned with. They are deep as well. Still, Lakers run the West. Talk about depth. We got the BENCH MOB!!! :blueeyedbaby: We have Bynum back, looking like he never lost a step.
  20. k_dub

    NBA

So, the table is set for the playoffs. Everybody knows who's comin' out the West. It's only gonna be fun when the other teams duke out. However, the East will be MUCH MORE INTERESTING!!! Right off the bat you got Sixers and Celtics. Obviously the Celtics are favored, and they are getting Garnett back. However, they were heavily favored over Atl last year, and LOOK WHAT HAPPENED!!! Atlanta almost beat them, pushing that series to deciding 7TH GAME!!! Close call. They should get by the Sixers, though. C'mon, they can't to a .500 team. OR COULD THEY?
  21. k_dub

    NBA

Yeah, you know Matt was just jokin' bout the SIXERS!!! Looks like the Cavs got home court. Lakers obviously had some setbacks. The absence of Bynum has started to show. Andrew will be back in due time, just when L.A. needs him. Celtics on the other hand, don't have that luxury with Garnett. They are in a MUCH TOUGHER DIVISION!!! Not only will they have to eventually face Orlando and Cleveland down the stretch, let's not forget what happened to them in the 1st round last year. Atlanta pushed them to 7 GAMES!!! And it gonna get any easier, especially since everybody is gunning for them since they are the defending champions.
  22. k_dub

    NBA

Everybody knows the Lakers is coming out THE WEST!!! When the playoffs start, anyone going up against the Lakers is gonna go DOWN HARD!!! As for the East, kind of a toss-up. Right now Cleveland is the hottest team in the NBA, riding a 10 winning streak, and will most likely have home field advantage throughout the playoffs. And when they are at home, they are ALMOST UNBEATABLE!!! However, you can't count out last year's NBA champions, the Celtics. Still have Garnett, Pierce, and Allen. Orlando might be in the mix as well. They are tied for 2nd place in the East.
  23. k_dub

    NBA

Typical Philly fan attitude. Gotta rag on somebody. After all, they BOOED SANTA CLAUS, FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!!! No need to diss the Lakers, especially if they win it all this year. Sixers suck, and hey, you got the World Series champion team. And did we diss Philly for doin' in the Dodgers in order for Philly to get to the World Series? NOOOOO!!! Us Angelenos is cool like that.
  24. I have. One of my best friends' dad is from Hawaii. He is Chinese/Hawaiian to be exact. He has a certain way of speaking, but I really don't hear an accent, per se. Nor do I hear a accent when our President Barack Obama is speaking, or one from Shane Victorino when he speaks. Unlike other areas of the world, I doubt many Hawaiians are natives, and no immigrant population from another part of the world settled in Hawaii. Still, remember, nobody hears their own accents.
  25. k_dub

    NBA

Thanks. Lakers stopped a Celtics 19 game win streak on Christmas Day, stopped a 12 game win streak the other day, and now stopped the Cavs 23 game home winning streak. Might as well call the Lakers the STREAK STOPPERS!!! :blueeyedbaby: Everybody thought the Lakers were gonna struggle after Bynum went down. Kobe hasn't had a good game since he dropped 61 on the Knicks. Still, we find a way to win. Now, imagine how good we will be when BYNUM COMES BACK!!!
