  1. There are some similarities. They both can glamor people, and need to be invited in to enter a mortal's home. They also have FANGS!!! For some reason, the Twilight vamps, don't. Another thing that is similar to True Blood is that the older the vampires are, the more stronger they become. They also can't reproduce, which makes more sense. In Twilight they can. How do DEAD PEOPLE HAVE SPERM?! :atoobie: One thing they have in common both True Blood and Twilight is they are not the only supernaturals in their town. Bonnie, Elena's best friend, is a witch. Also, judging from the Season 1 Vampire Diaries finale, the Mayor and his son Tyler are definitely more than human. I'm guessin' werewolf, but I didn't read the books, so we will just have to wait and see. Here are the differences: There is no blood substitute in Mystic Falls. So, if they decide not to feed on humans, they gotta go the Twilight way and feed on animals. Plus, once a vampire is invited in a home, the human who did can't rescind the invitation. Humans can prevent from being glamored if they have a certain plant called vervain or something like that on them or in their system. These vampires can go out in the sun, but they don't sparkle. Plus, they need a certain ring to do so.
  2. GREAT EPISODE!!! I'm really interested in the storyline of Eric. The King of Mississippi killed his family, and since the King is so powerful, he will have to come with one hell of a plan in order to kill him. Also, in the preview, was Bill just dreaming, or we gonna have daywalkers on this show as well?
  3. Next episode is gonna be GREAT!!! Tara, her "boyfriend", Sookie, Bill, Lorena, the Queen of Louisiana and the King of Mississippi all together is gonna lead up to a lot of DRAMA!!! We already know that Werewolves best not mess with Sookie. Obviously she's much more than a telepath. Not sure Eric will be able to mess with the King, but why was he holding back against the Queen?! In the preview, he OVERPOWERS HER!!! Was he holding back on her because of rank? Not to mention, Eric is gonna have to strike a deal with the King. He framed Bill for the selling of vampire blood, and needs to turn him over the Magister, or Pam will die a vampire's death. However, considering that Eric can overpower her, maybe a change of plans. Meanwhile, back in Bon Tomps, it seems like Arlene, stressed out from being pregnant and the fact that she is not the only redhead waitress, seems to have said something that Jessica took offense to. DUMB MOVE!!! Arlene should know not to piss off a vampire, especially a young one like Jessica. And something doesn't feel right about Sam and his new "family". The dad ain't right, the son fears him, and the mom is trying to keep whatever it is under wraps. All in all, a lot of drama is gonna go down, but the Snoop Dogg song and video was COOL!!! :blueeyedbaby:

Well, Derek Fisher decided for less money to stay with the Lakers. And now, it looks like Shannon Brown is gonna stick around.

Too many GOOD players, Matt. Now that the Heat have added LeBron and Bosh, they really don't need that good of a point guard. It might take them a while to gel together as well. Fish best stay with the team and system he knows.

Whatever. I don't even know why you are posting here, considering that you hate basketball so F'N much. <_< Because it relates to where I live, and I thought I'd give some input from Miami's point of view. Oh, please pardon my audacity at thinking I might be able to partake in a discussion about a major news story. I'm so so very sorry. EDIT: That last bit was a little rude, so I removed it. Ok. point taken. However, there are much more important news going on in the world(and I'm guessing in Miami) than LeBron choosing to relocate in your city. I would tell you to something that I'm not gonna mention because I would be accused of being sexist if I did. Thing is, most people comment here on basketball because, they know, like basketball. But hey, if you wanna give some input, in it's all good then. My bad. Anyway, back on topic. Please Lakers, resign Derek Fisher RIGHT NOW!!! The Heat got too many players already. Now they want Fisher. L.A., do not let Fisher go to Miami, PLEASE!!!

Was I the only one who saw this coming?! I knew LeBron was going to Miami, I KNEW IT!!! I was talking to my dad on the phone when it happened, and I knew I was gonna be right. He didn't wanna go to either the Knicks or New Jersey. Seriously, who wants to be on a rebuilding team?! :x I'm not sure if Cleveland was ever gonna build a good enough supporting cast for LeBron to ever win a championship there. Chicago would have been a good fit, but he wants to win a Championship SOONER THAN LATER!!! Therefore, it makes sense that he joined D-Wade and Chris Bosh down there in South Beach. Hey, it worked for the Celtics, didn't it? However, I ain't exactly anointing the Miami Heat as next year's NBA champions. Celtics are old, but they will still be somewhat competitive. Orlando is gonna be tough as well. And let's not forget, the LAKERS!!! We are still the champions, and trust me, we will be ready for Miami. While the Heat are trying to get the the Finals and win a championship, Lakers have been there and done that. Phil Jackson is back in effect for another chapter, and he always wins in 3's. We already know what are role players are capable of. That NBA analyst Bill Simmons is a idiot. <_< For thing Chicago hasn't been close to a ring since Michael Jordan left, and that was like in '98. Loyalty wins you respect, but it don't win you championships. And so what if you play at MSG? Yeah, be immortal like Patrick Ewing and so many other Knick players who have NEVER WON A CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

    Boxing

Yeah, of some Mickey Mouse belt, I might add. Besides, belts don't mean as much as they used to. The biggest fight of this year so far was Shane Mosley-Floyd Mayweather Jr., and there was NO BELT ON THE LINE!!! Let's see Chavez step up to some real middleweight champions, like Felix Sturm and Sergio Martinez.

Well, anybody can look good when you are fighting the weakest IN YOUR DIVISION!!! Nobody would even pay attention to this clown if it wasn't for his famous name. The next big fight is the rematch between Juan Manuel Marquez and Juan Diaz. Should be entertaining as much as the 1st one, but unless JMM looks his age, he will probably win again.

    Soccer?

This is probably why soccer isn't popular in the U.S. If it was because of the low scoring, us Americans wouldn't like baseball. However we do like baseball. We applaud pitchers for pitching perfect games and no-hitters, regardless of the score. Not to mention baseball is considered AMERICA'S PASTIME!!!
  12. HELL YEAH!!! If it's any consolation to ya, your Red Sox swept Manny and my Dodgers, so you still got to chant "Beat L.A.", and you did.

  13. The 2nd episode showed some promise. Now we know who kidnapped Bill, why Lafayette and Tara have so much in common(mother issues), and Sam found out who his real parents are. What I didn't like was seeing Lorena again. However, seeing her burn to death, YESSS!!! Mayn, this show got so popular, even Snoop Dogg TOOK NOTICE!!! The song was pretty cool as well.

    NBA

It wasn't pretty, that's for sure. In the 1st half, whether on the field or on the free-throw line, the Lakers were throwing up enough bricks to build A MANSION!!! :| :x And then, falling behind by 13 points . . . Thank god the Lakers have a knack for the dramatics. They were able to come back, and when Artest and Fisher hit them 3's, it was all good. A perfect HOLLYWOOD ENDING!!! :hell yea!: Hopefully, Phil comes back for at least one more year. After all, he always 3-peats when it come to winning championships. Best case scenario: NBA Finals 2011, Lakers vs. Cavs, aka Kobe vs. Lebron.

YESSSSS!!! LAKERS WON TITLE NUMBER 16!!! :hell yea!: (Y)

    NBA

Both teams are gonna give it all they got to win this game. True, the Celtics don't have Kendrick, and unfortunately that will be the reason why behind why the the series went the Lakers' way should they win tonight. <_< Forget about the fact that Bynum has been mostly a non-factor in this series save for the 1st game. Anyway, may the best team win, and hopefully it will be MY LAKERS!!!
  17. Sucks that my Lakers couldn't win last game. Why did they have to lose on my BIRTHDAY?! :( Hopefully they series will keep going tit-for-tat, then we should be OK.

  18. Point taken. When it comes to football, I agree that Tony Romo is the most overrated. Matter of fact, I think at one time he was actually more famous for being Jessica Simpson's boyfriend that being an NFL Quarterback. Everybody in NY seems to hate on A-Rod, and I don't know why. It's a possibility that he may be overrated because now we know he was a steroid user, but so has Manny Ramirez, David Ortiz, and many other guys, but they don't go through the same criticism. Right now I'd have to say the most overrated player in baseball is Stephen Strausberg. He debut was impressive, but then again, it was against the Pirates. He is facing the Indians next, but that should be a another easy win. Wait until he faces some winning teams, then let's see how good he is. Remember, there have been other pitchers before that people thought were gonna be great and then fell by the wayside. Anybody remember TODD VAN POPPEL?!
  19. Not true, some of the greatest players ever don't have a championship. Example, Ken Griffey Jr is one of the best baseball players ever, but no World Series Championship, another is Dan Marino, great quarterback but no Super Bowl. Team sports, 68. I mean, basketball is a team sport, too, but one player is basketball has more of a impact on a team than in baseball or football. Ken Griffey Jr unfortunately was never on a team with good enough pitching to get to a World series. Dan Marino was never on team with good enough defense to win a Super Bowl. On the other hand, can you imagine what the Bulls would be like with no Jordan, or the Showtime Lakers with no Magic?! Yes, but Jordan's Bulls had other great players, who ever able to work with Jordan as did Magic. Iverson's entire team was complete shit; he carried a team as far as he could. And I do hope you're not ignoring my opinion because I'm a chick... True Jordan and Magic had great supporting casts, but one of the reasons why those other players were great is because they played with JORDAN AND MAGIC!!! Scottie Pippen couldn't win a championship without Jordan. He tried, but couldn't do it. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar won a championship before, but he won more when Magic entered the picture. And "Big Game" James Worthy won all of his championship with Magic there. And I'm not a sexist. Your gender has nothing to do with your sports IQ.
  20. Thanks for wishing me happy Bday. Hopefully the Lakers winning tonight will be my present.

  21. Hey Sweet Lu, how did you like that Lakers-Celtics game last night?

All the Mayweather haters either need to STFU or give Floyd his props. He faced a real welterweight, didn't run, went toe-to-toe, and tapped THAT ASS!!! :hell yea!: :lullaby: To be honest, I thought the fight was gonna be more competitive than it wound up. Now Manny PUNKQUIAO need to man up, take the blood test make the F'N FIGHT HAPPEN!!!
