Oh well. I haven't season episode 7 yet, but episode 6 proved my point that Juice being black would be a big deal to the Sons. Even though the rules were from a different time, it's pretty clear that blacks could not be a member of the Sons.

in this case, it was revealed that he could not read, hence why after Dunn was beaten down he asked for someone to read it to everyone. Obviously he just didn't want to give him the satsifaction of knowing he is illiterate Which begs the question why his wife brought him a book in the 1st place. Moving on, I would just like to ask some questions about the last episode. Chalky losing his grip on his constituency, is that the reason why he took it out on his family? Now we know why Jillian didn't want the Commodore to go to the hospital. Thing is, how bad did she beat up to Commodore, to death maybe? Eli is freaking out because with the Commodore's current condition, Nucky might get the upper hand back again, and he already promised he would ruin all of them. Jimmy might be in the driver's seat now, and the deal he made in Philly will add more tension between him and Nucky. However, in previous episodes, it looks like he might be able to forgive Nucky. MIGHT. And to LMS, you saw Micky Doyle's warehouse explode, right? Van Alden's guys were there, and as you saw, one of them is definitely going to the HOSPITAL.

You forgot one thing: what was going on in NYC. Arnold Rothstein, Meyer Lansky and Lucky Luciano had a sit-down with Joe "The Boss" Masseria(who was a real person, I might add). Obviously, he is angry that his guys were murdered after the left Meyer's place of business, and that they should come to a arrangement before any more blood should be shed. Rothstein agrees. Joe gets up and speaks to Luciano in Italian. He says "What are you doing with these Christ killers?", referring to Rothstein and Lansky, who are Jewish. He continues, "Join me and I'll make you rich", then leaves.

In response to your question, I think he just wanted to shut up Dunn at the time. Also, it seemed that he was reading it fine before Dunn knocked the book out his hands. However, he was looking at a picture in the book at the time.

Yeah, you are talking about REAL MC CLUBS. And by real MC Club I just mean a group of people who just like to ride motorcycles and are not one percenters or are involved in any criminal activity. Yeah, those groups have people who comes from all walks of life. True, this is a fictional biker gang on a TV show, but they wanted to give some authenticity, so they hired consultants who were one time or another members of a outlaw motorcycle club, and those groups are racially exclusive. Sure, the Sons have a few Mexicans, but the Mayans are all Mexican and the Grim Bastards are all black. Show is getting good. Clay wants Tara dead, and lies to the Mayans why she should die. She knows nothing about the coke, but she found the letters of John Teller, and Jax might find out that Clay and his own mother had John killed. However, former Chief Usner is not down with it, so not only does he leave an anonymous death threat in Tara's car, he even goes to the current Sheriff of Charming Roosevelt to tell him that her life might be in danger and to look out for her. Juice is in a F@#% UP SITUATION!!! He may have covered up his crime by killing Miles and saving the prospects by returning the coke, but after having that conservation with Chibs about his old lady(who is black) and if the old rules of SAMCRO are still the same racially, I think Chibs suspects something is up with him.

So the SOA deal with blacks and Latinos: BIG DEAL!!! Take my oversized text how you want. The Hell's Angels are allies with both the Cali Cartel out of Columbia and the Indian Posse out of Canada, who are Hispanic and Native American, respectively. However, they refused to let Hispanics into their gang because of their race. The rejects later formed the Mongols MC. Just because you tolerate and make dealings with other groups doesn't necessarily make you color-blind. As for the show and the plot device being used, sure, its more about fear. However, his racial background is the reason why he is scared. My guess is that they wouldn't be cool with it if they found out he was black. Why else would he be so scared?

I get it that it makes no sense, but it does happen. There was a man named Joe "Pegleg" Morgan who was one of the co-founders and a high ranking member of the Mexican Mafia, and he WAS WHITE!!! The members of his gang knew about his racial background from the get-go, but they didn't care. Also, 18th Street is a predominately Mexican gang, but anybody, regardless of race, can join 18th Street. I already mentioned the Bandidos. I agree with you if you're going to be racist, be racist. However, some groups are picky, and they do make exceptions. As far as Juice's race, I looked up his character profile on wikipedia, and it says that he is of Puerto Rican and African-American decent. I doubt he used his Puerto Rican ancestry to explain why he doesn't look white though. I doubt Happy and the members of the Sons out of Arizona have to explain why don't look white. And hey, just because you're Latin doesn't necessarily mean you can speak Spanish. I've met a lot of Mexicans who don't know a lick of Spanish. Sorry your hormones are out of whack. Hope you have a healthy baby and no postpartem depression after you give birth. As far the big writing goes, the oversized text is kinda my trademark around here. Sorry if seemed too intimidating or inflammatory. Just wanted to get my point across, and the big texts help me to do so.

Also, yours_forever, how do you figure that Juice is HALF-WHITE?! He is half Puerto-Rican, and remember Latin is not white. And it is obviously is a big deal, or he wouldn't have took that 1 brick in the 1st place.

One thing about Outlaw Biker Gangs: They are usually racially homogenous and exclusive. All Hell's Angels' members are white, and if you ever seen an episode on Gangland on biker gangs, many members of the racially exclusive white gangs wear swastikas on their jackets. As for the Hispanic Biker gangs, I also believe they don't have any black members. Matter of fact, the only "real" black biker gang I ever heard of are the East Bay Dragons out of Oakland. Granted, this is just a show, but give the writers credit for keeping it real. The Sons finding out Juice is half-black would be a big deal. If it wasn't, the fact that he is wouldn't have been part of the storyline. Juice wouldn't even be able to join a black MC, since he's half white too... And if they are supposed to be racially exclusive, why don't they care that he's "Puerto Rican"? Latin is not white I don't think it would be a huge deal, that Sherriff is just trying to play the card because they don't have any members maybe? I guess it's all gonna be a wait and see... Remember, I said "GRANTED, THIS IS JUST A SHOW"?! I was talking about "real" biker gangs, and obviously the "Sons of Anarchy" are not a "real" biker gang. I don't know much about black MC's, but let's face it, because of slavery, none of my people are 100% black. Do you think they would deny a light-skinned black person? I mean, you can be half-white and join the Nation of Islam. Also, FYI, the Bandidos are one biker gang that is an exception to the rule. Like the Sons, they have White and Hispanic Members.

What a difference a season makes. Here a recap on the 2nd episode this season: Nucky sees how his world is crumbling around him. After his arrest, his office is raided. Luckily, Margaret, who is now queen bee of the house who has cooks and nannies who she gets to order around, saves Nucky's ass for the time being by faking a pregnancy so she can ask to use the facilities, and removes the record books and money from the office. She also encourages Nucky that despite everybody is turning their backs on him, he will prevail because he is stronger and smarter than his enemies. Also, there is a dinner at Nucky's house, Irish revolutionaries who at war with England and need weapons to continue the fight, and hoping with his wealth and well-standing, that he can supply them. Jimmy, who is now in cahoots with his father the Commodore, Nucky's brother Eli, and others plotting to bring Nucky down, goes to New York to make a business dealing with Arnold Rothstein involving liquor. However, even though Lucky Luciano and Meyer Lansky are still under Rothstein, look to strike out on their own by dealing heroin, and they want Jimmy to join them in that enterprise. However, some guys who work for Joe "The Boss" Masseria show up. When Jimmy leaves, they come and threaten him. Even though they disarm him of his gun, he is still handy with his knife, and stabs kill them both. Chalky White is in jail, which Nucky had Eli arrest in order to protect him. Nucky was jailed with him briefly, but was able to post bail. Chalky's wife visits him while he in jail and gives him a book to read, on the suggestion of his son. While he is in jail he meets some loudmouth who insults Chalky because of the light complexion of his wife and the fact that his nickname is Chalky, despite the fact that he is black. Later, Chalky is moved from a private cell to a cell with that guy and 3 other black guys. That guy continue to insult him and then even rips his book away from him. Then Chalky asks those other inmates about how they are doing and how their families are. This guy now realizes who Chalky is, and when he goes to hit him, the other guys grab him and beat him nearly to death. They get his book back and one of the inmates start to the read the book to him. We see the Commodore, Eli, and the guys he is in cahoots with talking about how they will bring Nucky down, and how Jimmy will be supplying A.C. with all the liquor that comes in. However, one character, whose name I don't remember at the time, is not down with it, and instead of joining the others, will remain loyal to Nucky.

Sup, fellow Dexter fans? Sadly, the show didn't win ANY EMMY AWARDS!!! Anyway, the new season starts October 2nd. However, if you wanna the the season premiere sooner than that, I GOT IT!!! Here's the link: http://www.fileserve.com/file/xmEbEtg

Congrats to Peter Dinklage for winning the Emmy for "Best supporting Actor in a Drama Series". He is definitely one of the most interesting characters in the show, and the only member of the Lannister family that I like.

R.I.P. Amy Winehouse. Can't say I'm surprised, though. She has been on a downward spiral for some time now, so it just seems like a matter of time. Still, since she was talented singer whose music I bought and enjoyed, always hoped she'd right the ship, and then continue to give us years of more music. Ironically, she died at age 27, and many legendary artists, such as Jimi Hendrix, Curt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison of the Doors, among others have died at that same age.
  16. Wow, that's a bold statement, especially when it comes to the guys. Not to sound biased, but you are from Philly. Pretty segregated city racially, right? Probably not many interracial couples. Then again, you only said the guys are strange looking. When it comes to famous mixed males, the ones I can think of off the top of my head is Barack Obama, Derek Jeter, Tiger Woods, Vin Diesel, Wentworth Miller, and Lenny Kravitz. Do you think any of those guys are weird looking?

"BoardWalk Empire" got 18 nominations on Thursday. In the main categories, it got nominated for Best Drama series, with both Steve Buscemi and Kelly MacDonald getting nominated for best actor and actress in a drama series, respectively. Buscemi already has won a Golden Globe for this role, so his chances at the Emmy Award is pretty good. Kelly MacDonald, not so much. However, I'll be rooting for her, because of all the corruption and murder involved in that series, she's the moral core. Unfortunately, the actor that's plays Detective Van Alden did not got nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Award. His character, even though trying to uphold the law and bust Nucky, has duality as he is obviously has many demons that he has to wrestle with constantly, which adds much more to the human element of the story.

True, but he was never the star, or even main co-star in those films. The face might be somewhat familiar, but the name isn't.

"Game of Thrones" was nominated for 2 Emmys on Thursday. The show was nominated in the Outstanding Drama Series Category. Unfortunately, despite the great cast of actors who did their jobs really well, only Peter Dinkage was noticed, as he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. I definitely think that Sean Bean, Lena Headey, and Emilia Clarke were good enough to earn some nominations. No knock on Dinkage, but I feel the only reason why the Emmys nominated him and not the others is because he is the only actor on that cast who is known to the American Audience. The rest of the people on that show, with the exception of that one guy who is on the Wire, are not well known outside of their home countries.

Emmy nominations just came out. "Dexter" got 3 nominations, at least as far as I know if the major categories. It is up for Outstanding Drama Series and Michael C. Hall. or course is up again for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. The Emmy voters were obviously impressed with Julia Stiles' performance this past season, as they nominated her for BEST Guest Actress in a Drama series. I'll be rooting for her. However, Johnny Lee Miller got snubbed in the Best Guest Actor Category. Also, it's kinda ironic that seven women were nominated in Guest Actress Category. Every other category has a total of six. So, Julia Stiles gets in, while Johnny Lee Miller misses out. No knock in Julia Stiles. She definitely deserves to be nominated in her category. I just think Johnny Lee Miller's performances should have been acknowledged as well. In closing, congrats to Dexter and Showtime for their nominations. We will be rooting for you, and Dexter is coming back IN SEPTEMBER!!! :hell yea!:
  21. WOW!!! Well, if you like him in that way, hold on to him, because their is little chance you will another one over there. Then you have to come to the states and go to a reservation. However, some reservations have casinos, so if you like gambling, it's all good.
  22. Bummer for you. You're not gonna find too many Native Americans in England, Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland. I covered the whole U.K., right?

You don't have to wait. The 2nd episode is on HBO on Demand. It clears up a lot of questions. You get to see how Bill became King of Louisiana, who the REAL head of the the Vampires are, and whats been going with Tara and Sam.
  24. k_dub replied to Ophelia_Immortal's post in a topic in Television
Holy SHIT!!! Bill is King of Louisiana, Tera is a lesbian now, and Eric now owns Sookie's house. I know Sookie doesn't wanna be with Eric, but it looks like she doesn't have much of a choice now, I have a feeling Tara is gonna come back, and don't forget we have witches now. If we learned anything from the Vampire Diaries, Witches got the upper hand on all the other supernaturals. This season is gonna be AWESOME!!!

That sucks that your friend told you that, even though it wasn't true. Problem is that it might actually happen. Sounds like he or she read the books. That's why I don't read the True Blood books. I rather be surprised and see what's gonna happen instead of knowing what's going to happen beforehand. They might change it up a little bit when it finally makes it on the small screen, but I believe the writers and producers try to keep it close to the book as possible.
