VS generally goes for models that have done some notable work in fashion and SI models generally either come from being the current face of GUESS or simply out of nowhere. Since SI models generally end up doing nothing big, it would make VS look like (even more) as if everyone can walk the show. Plus, SI models are generally no runway models and are probably considered not ready enough to do a big show like the VS show (even though I really don't understand what's so difficult to just walk in the first place but when you look at non-runway regulars like Marisa, Sara Sampaio or Lily Aldridge in her first VS shows... ). -

so glad there's no shit storm in here about how much Gigi and Kendall don't deserve to be in the show (already very weird that haters use the word "deserve") I hope Ellie is going to perform "something in the way you move" <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/sBqq1plb1yY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> not sure which song Selena should sing. Her recent singles aren't runway songs.

Yeah back when there wasn't a Pink section, but typically ever since it was introduced......those girls are typically cast for their cute and bubbly look. The only exception is the 07 Pink segment. That year had some drop dead beauty's walking Pink! Yes, even the PINK section used to include real world-class beauties but I disagree that that was the case only in 2007. I would say that 2006-2008 was the golden era of PINK as far as the models go. Future Angels like Miranda, Rosie, Candice and Doutzen walked for PINK as well as some pretty well-known models. there's no such thing like a golden era for PINK ... ok, maybe from 2006-2007

I love to have John Pfeiffer's job. That sounds so much fun to pick girls for the show and even be the one in charge to do a pre-selection. I'm not a Kendall Jenner-fan, but poor girl for getting so much shit because she allegedly stole Jourdan Dunn's spot in the show. That rumor sounds so stupid to me that it just makes me roll my eyes to see how many people buy into that so easily.

YES! those harp wings are some of the best wings they've ever made! Such a bummer they've never gotten to present them on the runway. Adriana doesn't have a model body anymore. You can even expose more skin like with the fb oufit or cover her up with the Angel ball-outfit last year but it still didn't look flattering either way. haha right?

Is that thing with Jourdan even true? Last time I checked the model list she was never included until Kendall was and suddenly Kendall supposedly took Jourdan's spot? Doesn't make sense since both girls are completely different type of girls. At least, it would make sense if Kendall took the spot of another brunette but I guess gullibility keeps rumors alive (no matter how ridiculous). And I hope this was Izabel's last show. VS has been benevolent enough with keeping her for such so long time.

These jokes are stale you name it! I live in a time zone where I always have to jump back to read like 20 new pages and those comments just waste my time to find out the important updates. And I'm glad that Kendall is walking. And I hope Ellie is going to perform "Something in the way you move" cause her current single is blah.

+100000 Some people in here are like the ones that write youtube-comments. Only complaining about this and that and making up the most ridiculous theories. "The fb wasn't originally made for Lily. Must have been for Behati" or "Model XX only made it because she's dating celebrity XY" And I always wonder: "your theories suck. you'll never find out if it's true anyway. Stop repeating yourself and deal with it instead".

It's sad that a model is praised for just being candid. I think we also get too spoiled about all those short model interviews and how amazing they always make the industry look like. It doesn't take a genius to know that this business also has its negative aspects but blanca chose her words wisely (even though i just read the translation and i generally wouldn't believe every single word unless you go for the original material or a translation made by a professional. Otherwise rumors start like if the bitchy model is supposed to be elsa or not because of the 4 years or around 4 years-thing) I think blanca fits vs and would cancel out the many bad casting choices made so far. Many girls have been already confirmed but only sui being confirmed has truly made me feel like a good choice was made. Especially the newcomers are quite underwhelming choices. I also don't get the vita-hype. She looks similiar to toni but i would prefer toni to vita every single day. Imo only the big girls should get casted (unless you're super duper angel-material like candice in 2007) and vita isn't that big... I think i don't need to even mention that meg puleri-girl? But it's also stupid to judge beforehand. So let's see how they gonna carry themselves.
The comments in the section are basically asking "If she's got a confirmation" or them blatantly assuming she's keeping her VS walk a secret this year (that's why I didn't translate). Sui's captions are only lalalalalalalalala, which doesn't say much. Another small portion of users are saying that Sui is hinting. Just wanted to ask since most the models confirmed by ya'll were posting implicit messages over IG the past few days, think this is a sign? yeah, it could be a hint. That gif was posted in 2013, so there's room for speculation to why Sui would post that specifically now so close to the show.
good to know. It's a shame to hear that about Sui's father. I wonder where she's been. Her work did become little recently. And I also think they could have casted someone better than Maud but she'll probably do PINK again and someone needs to wear the ugly outfits. yeah, but the difference with the newcomers in 2005 is that all of the new girls were big in business by that time. Maybe Andi Muise and Tatiana and ironically VS newest Angels back then (Selita and Izabel) were underdogs (but still were perfect for the show). I can't say that about some of the girls for this year's show. as long as the FB looks great, I don't care about the price tag. The FB candice wore worth 10$million and still looked crappy for 10$ million.
Nah, don't worry. I'm not that upset after watching the whole 2015 castings anyway. I doubt Sui will ever return. I kinda compared her on the level of Liu Wen (walk for 4 years and go). Just basically saying that if the model is done with VS, then that's some pretty sad 4 years of runway. Also going back to which models are popular in America, it's ironic how VS promotes the fashion show as the world's hottest fashion show of the year, at least that's how DJs on local radio station in my country call it, but then the supporters think they only matter in The States. I know how some other models didn't get wings. But at least they had very intricate designs, stuffs like cape, flowy gowns etc and additional camera time. I don't believe they ran out of time to make wings for Sui. Fairy Tale was a prime example of how all angels got wings and then Sui was there with... ....... Even Stella had two wings on her run, Eniko who came back after a long time had a wing too. Doesn't even seem like a coincidence to me. Hey, least Alessandra is still an angel and has already gotten her first FB, that's a start . I just honestly think, someone like Sui, Doutzen, etc, those who didn't receive the recognition they deserve is so blehhh, its just a sad thing to watch. I've always wanted to know why you're so sure Sui is out? Where is it confirmed? And I don't think VS knows of every single model who has worn wings before or not. They just let the girls try the outfits on they think suits them best. And there are still spots. Expressing your disappointment that no Asian models are chosen is a bit early. Bar Refaeli is actually one of the most known models from recent years. Do some research and you'll know her too ;-) Some people still care I guess. But every second outfit features wings now. So it's not something that big anymore for sure.
Nonsense! Valery has had a couple great seasons on the HF runway, so in a way it does make sense for VS to cast her exactly. What's that stupid assumption about girls just getting hired because they're dating a celeb? If so, Irina Shayk, Bar Refaeli, Emily DiDonato etc. would have walked the show before. Haters gotta come up with better reasons. This one is lousy.
Agreed, their strategy really sucks, nobody will talk about new angels now. There is already a problem of people not liking new angels and instead of pushing them for audience to accept them, they will do the opposite. More than half of them will remain unknown.And I agree with person which said that fb is not going to the one of the main faces of VS(Adriana, Candice or Ale). because in that case they would promote it like crazy because they draw audience. Someone less known is getting it. I think that they decided to make a much less deal out of the fb, for some reason. It doesn't matter anyway all people will talk is Hadid sisters. It doesn't take a genius to know that not all of the new angels will become household names when there are 10 introduced at the same time. That was one of the most irritating choices vs has ever made.On a different note, i think a model should be hired for the show when she's prrfect for vs and gigi is that girl. I think it's dumb not to a hire a model just because she's "too famous". And that maddison girl looks pretty. She kinda has a edita-vibe in the pics with eniko and edita is smoking hot. Totally overshadowed eniko.
