Marlon Teixeira has one of the most striking faces out there and I gotta say that I really like his picture from the Armani exchange campaign. But anybody else also thinks he totally looks like Tatiana Kovylina? She was kinda big in the 2004-2005 seasons and walked the Victoria's secret fashion show.

According to you it is sad, I guess my sarcasm wasnt obvious enough and thinking someone feels like crap about them self to say it is a tad bit asinine, you dont even know me lol. All I did was state an opinion that I wanted to sound a bit sarcastic as a number seem to think the models arent as good past few years so I wanted to give a ridiciliously stupid reason as to why one thats least liked this year got in. It wasnt meant to be a knock on Kenza but a bit of a jab on the SI decision makers. They seem to be getting harsher criticism past few years. yeah, blame it on sarcasm

Seems like Jessica's contract with IMG ended along with Esti's and Hilary's around the turn of this year. Anybody know with which New York agency she and Esti are signed with now? Hilary is with Women as far as I know.

Every year I'm more excited to see the SI vids than the SI photos. The photos barely capture the scenario well and the result is almost everytime so bland. I liked when Shannan posed with the chopsticks but when I saw the photos -- meh. I'm a lil disappointed with the rookies - they weren't much of a surprise and why they're only 5 this year? I miss Julie Ordon a lot btw! Her SI vid was one of the most amazing ones I've ever seen. All in all it's a decent result. I think that "shell-swimsuit" for Christine was a genuis idea (but the result in photos sucked again). PS: Kenza was admittely an awkward choice (sometimes SI goes with these kind of girls - just look at Yasmine Brunet, Julie Henderson and Michelle Lombardo) but wondering who she might slept with to get this SI gig is just really sad to say. Someone feels like crap about himself and needed to lash out

You can tell that Esti is not naturally model-skinny and she got her curves by nature (which is not a bad thing at all) and it only seems to bother her when it comes to SI because only for SI her body looks at its best.

All models look freaking hot so far! Do miss Julie Ordon in the cast and I'm kinda suprised to see Genevieve back but then I totally forgot that she was named the rookie of the year 2010. Rookie of the year 2008 Melissa Haro returned and Rookie of the year 2009 Esti Ginzburg also returned, so it's not such a big surprise that she returned.

^well, to her defense: She had the worst outfit, probably the worst outfit in VSFS history, and yet she managed to make it look good on her.

The editors probably did a crappy job and switched the "Russian babes" and "Sexy delicious"-segments by accident. I don't think there's a deep reason behind it - it was just a stupid mistake. As having outfits in two back-to-back segments: VS did that with Adri and Ale in 2006 before, but I don't see how to do it with three segments in a row... probably having one of the singers singing in between, so Ale for instance has more time to change clothes. I don't see PINK being the grand finale. A perfect show must have something for the 1st good impression and also something like "saving the best for last" and PINK would be like "saving the worst for last" and that's not a good tactic at all. As for the segments it should be: 1. Tough love 2. Game one 3. PINK 4. Wild things 5. Country girls 6. Heavenly bodies I think "Country girls" will be the romantic/soft-segment this year and they always put a segment like dat next to last (e.g. 2003 "sexy kitten", 2008 "ballet de fleurs", 2009 "enchanted forest")

Why not? All she really does are the shows... and she did enough shows. I think the only models that should be there for several years are the angels to emphasize their status more. Therefore, I'm glad that there are still no confirmation that Julia S. and Caroline W. made it because they have been around long enough also.

I wouldn't have minded to see Ana BB but I'm also absolutely cool with it that she's not going to be there. I think, as a non-angel you shouldn't be with VS so long and she's been around long enough. VS moved on from Oluchi and Angela, so it's Ana BB's turn now to go

I think it's weird that the fashion designers (Charlotte and Todd) didn't even get the chance to cast the models Instead there some faces in the jury I've never seen before.

What's that Anja-bashing over here and tfs?? Seems like ppl hate her since she has been looking unnaturally skinny during the past fashion week. I don't know how she looks like now but I thought she was one of the best in last year's show. She wasn't clowning around (like Lily Aldridge), having a bad walk (like Lily Aldridge) or just got cast because of a famous boyfriend (like Lily Aldridge). So... I'll probably be the only one that's looking forward to see Anja this year

So, these girls are confirmed so far: Jessica Gomes (4), Izabel Goulart (1), Julie Henderson (5), Damaris Lewis (3), Irina Shayk (5), Christine Teigen (2), Jessica White (8) I'm glad to see Christine Teigen back. She has that very unique and exotic look. She fits SI perfectly! ^^ As for Jessica Gomes - I listed her name as well because there was this interview with her for Madison magazine and in the accompanied article, they wrote "she’s started working out hard to get her abs “really tight” for an upcoming Sports Illustrated shoot". I can see her being shot in Singapore since her mother is Singaporean. And what's that talk about Anne V or Irina deserve the cover because they've been with SI for so long?? When it comes to seniority (as many of you write as a reason), then Jessica White should get the cover.

I think it's a lil weird when ppl say they want Natasha Poly for VSFS because she has a nice curvy body or she had so when she was on the VS runway... wtf???? I think, she is still one of the skinniest models out there. Just look at her at VSFS 2005:

I've been wondering all the time how the outfit with the fantasy bra will look like. I sketched a lil around and I dismissed the idea that the fb-outfit will include wings since it looks like Adri will wear the "tough love"-wings. So:

You know, the weirdest thing about Anja was that it was said she didn't want to do the show (or maybe it would be better to say: didn't really look forward to do it) but Caroline T and Maryna, who are her friends encouraged her. Idk how true is that but maybe it's fake as, let's face it, high fashion or non-high fashion model, walking for VS is a big thing with lots of money. So I somehow don't see how she could have had passed on it earlier. Anja is said not wanting to do the show because the models have to show a lot of skin and Anja seems to dislike that. In one interview, she said that she told the VS people that she wants this and that to be covered. Basically having a full outfit. Idk what's wrong with her but I think she had the best body in the 09 show.

I'm very looking forward to see Adriana with the fb in the show. Kinda curious how the overall-outfit to the fb will look like. After seeing those horrible sketches, confirmed skeletons like Chanel walking the show and "Angel" by Akon possibly being the opening-soundtrack, the fb is like the only good thing so far for me

Wow long texts about who stands where but Candice certainly didn't get the FB this year because she's really not that known by name - maybe just face and body. And forget about considering the fact that KK wore it in 2002 without being an angel. By that time, no one really cared about the angel-concept and who's in and who's out. When it comes to Ale: I never saw her being the fb-wearer at any time. She's just like Izabel who can't handle such big thing. I also can hardly see Miranda wearing it one day and ... who knows Rosie maybe will be an angel by next year with her transformers-role so VS will most definitely try to claim her as their model and ... Ale probably will always be the "angel who worked for VS so long but never got the fb".
