Lais actually does all the work that a VS angel usually does. Heck, she even got mentioned in the 2011 show's intro. I think sprankling her ankle was a huge letdown for her. In fact, she's the only "real" Angel, the others are skinny/not sexy/not connecting with the public/aren't real women/just shit or 'there are too many' or 'were better in the old days' - and I don't even know why (hmmm, I don't know, today let's say) Erin is an Angel as she's got the face of a bulldog chewing a wasp. errr... ok.... well back to VS (the thread reads "The official Victoria's Secret thread" as I can recall). I think Behati has never really fit VS imo. I like her style and the way she seems to be this tomboy and anti-girlie-girl but I don't find her VS sexy. I like the way she looked like in the 2008 VSFS and I was intrigued by her photos (and even that interesting name of her's) when I first noticed her in the 2007 VSFS but I don't see why she got upgraded from PINK girl to a VS angel. What do you guys think? Will another angel be given the boot this year? I hope this was it for Lily A. I wish VS could just keep Adri, Ale, Miranda, Doutzen and Candice. They always seemed to be the "real" angels for me.

People can hate on Candice as much as they want, but deep down inside every single one of us knows that she is the best one out of the newer angels in terms of keeping the original VS image of a sexy model alive. It can get annoying when a model is getting overexposed because it draws away the mysterious vibe and therefore the interest for a model but drama whores of course have to turn it into hate. I mean c'mon. The worst thing that VS has ever done was to hire Chanel Iman as an Angel. THAT is ten times more upsetting than Candice's overexposure can ever get (God, was I happy when they finally gave her the boot). Also I would like to address that Doutzen is as beautfiul as hell (her walk with Rihanna was my fav moment in last year's show) but she's barely better (or should I say equally bad?) at giving interviews than Candice. Doutzen also comes across as a little bit forced when she tries to be outgoing in interviews and sometimes can't cut to the chase and if you really wanna do all the comparison: None of the current angels can compare with Tyra, Heidi or Gisele (or KK's recent interview at Jay Leno's). And I also think that Candice will probably get the fb this year since Doutzen's biggest sensation (the space-project) won't be up until next year. Rumor has it that Ale and Adri will be with VS until 2015. I generally think it will be interesting to see how VS will be doing once Adriana will leave since I think that Ale and Miranda will leave around the same time and as we all know VS doesn't have a potential sensation in their current angel nest now (I think, Rosie was going to be their next mainstream hit with transformers .. but then she left). I guess someone needs to get herself a famous boyfriend

yeah, I noticed that the VS angels don't do interviews in talk shows anymore like Heidi, Gisele and Tyra did. They went like to all the late night shows (Jimmy, Conan etc.), to Ellen, to what-not. Now the new crop of "angels" maybe get to do a tv interview whenever the VS show is about to air (and those are mainly morning shows). Other than that .... NOTHING! No one really cares about these new angels. They are so unknown. The only exception is Miranda. She's the only star VS has now.

I currently live in Guangzhou and I saw an Kent & Curwen-ad that featured Sebastian solo and with another guy. But I can't find the one that shows him solo. I found the one with the other guy (which was already difficult to find) . The one with him solo features the same dark green-greyish background and he wears the same red shirt

Reading this heated debate about Karlie's Native American-outfit, I think it's obvious to say that people have a SERIOUS problem that the headpiece was showcased in a lingerie show. While we VS fans appreciate the costumes and see them as art (or find them plain tacky in recent years), for the general person, all the outfits are just objectifying women. And reading some comments, native American women have been sexualized for a long time and maybe that's why people get offended by it. Plus, the headpiece is a holy piece for many tribes and are worn by males-only (but if I would ban that outfit to be aired by explainging it with this, basically, misogynic reason... I wouldn't). But in the end of the day it is really n-o-t t-h-a-t s-e-r-i-o-u-s! It might be a lingerie show, but I think this particular show has become more than just a lingerie show and therefore shouldn't only be seen as such. And Karlie just walked down the runway with that outfit. It's not like she pulled it in between her legs to get excited or threw it on the ground and stomp on it.

I didn't realize that VS was including menstruation as one of their outfits in this year's show.

Seems like a weird way to represent Thanksgiving... "Here, have an outfit to represent the genocide of native people! oh and we're going to put a white girl in it just to make it worse!" Not my favorite outfit and not a good choice by VS, I think.

Great Shanina and Toni (finally) made it. Waiting for Gracie and Edita but somehow I have the feeling VS is done with them. Yeah most definitely... all that rumors and drama is so RIDICULOUS. That "novel" that was written as a response to Barbara's "bad day"-tweet is beyond embarrasing. I also think it's stupid to write things like "Joan Smalls went to castings also several times before she made it. So Cintia can still make it"... errrr... Joan Smalls became bigger and bigger in the industry over the years. THAT IS why her chances to walk the show became bigger. Whereas Cintia's success dwindles with each year, so her chances are of course getting smaller and smaller to walk the show.

^I actually don't mind if the date is going to be postponed because we ain't gonna see the show until dec 4th anyway. It surprises me a lot that it always takes them so long to edit the show. Justin Bieber will 99% perform "beauty and the beat" but please no "Boyfriend" or "As long as you love me" - both songs have terrible beats to walk to but the deaf people in the VS team probably just think of the ratings anyway. So they don't care which song is appropiate for the runway and which ain't (that pisses me off). Same goes with "Diamonds" - so boring! And don't get me started on that Bruno Mars-song.... so boring... VS always knows how to mess up the show with its song choices :avada:

I understand the "hate" for Julie and Genevieve. I also don't see why SI loves them so much. But I gotta disagree in Jessica Gomes' case. She has her fair share of fans. She appeared in "Chuck" and in the Top 99 women of 2012 by askmen.com, placing higher than fellow models such as Adriana, Ale or even Bar. As I can recall, she's even the only SI girl in the list that has never graced the cover before. That says something for her.

I wouldn't say that only girls on the cover get exposure. Sure they get the most one but without SI, girls like Esti or Kate Upton wouldn't even be known or known with names. It wasn't until SI that Esti appeared in the movie Twelve. What I kinda think is unfair is the fact how they always promote some rookies more than others. Christine Teigen and Kate Upton have been pretty known already in their first year, so it sometimes seems to me they already appeared in SI for years, while others like the lovely Lucia Dvorska or Zoe Duchesne and Dominique Piek fell flat with making themselves household names

Jessica Gomes is a major model with celeb-status in South Korea and had her own TV show in there and appeared also in the Korean version of "Dancing with the stars". She appeared in tons of advertisements for LG and a brand calles Enprani which even created a lip gloss named after her. Just because it's not necessarily NY, Paris or Milan, it doesn't mean they don't do anything at all

Not very happy about the choice of musicians - another year in which the unique music of the VSFS fades away more and more... :S The only positive news about this year's show would be Candice opening the show, I guess. After she appeared in the newest forbes-list, I'm pretty sure she's a real angel in the ranks of Adri, Ale, Miranda and Doutzen, and not a second hand angel like Behati and the other blah's. I hope to see Toni Garrn in this year's show even though I think her look is almost too classy for the show. I never really got the buzz over Cintia but I wouldn't mind seeing her. But if she's not going to make it (again), then guys don't be like : "why VS didn't choose Cintia but (let's say) Lily A?? Cintia is so much sexier". I think, VS doesn't just randomly choose girls who they think is the hottest, they always chose girls who they think could rock an outfit the best. So that's why a yes for Dorothea in 2009 and no for Cintia (even though I can picture Cintia wearing Dorothea's PINK outfit somehow )

I think Damaris has a pretty face - she just got thicker including her face got rounder. I also think Jessica White is pretty but she sends out that bitch-vibe and as a guy I don't dig that. I can completely understand why SI loves Chrissy. She, however, sends out that interesting exotic-vibe that exotic models had from the 1970's. You cannot really say what kind of heritage she has. Personally I think she embodies something exotic ... I think about vacation on an island when I see her. There were no doubts that Kate would return. She had the most exposure from all last year's rookie. I wonder every year how some rookies get so much coverage yet others fall flat.

oh Esti, the ethereal sex kitten. As much as I love her, it's getting visibly tougher for to keep her body in shape year by year. I prefer her not to appear in SI to looking like last-year-Jessica Gomes and being shot for SI. I love Jessica Gomes but last year she looked very out of shape and I mean, as a model you're not required to have much knowledge - so at least keep your body in shape.

She's starting to be really chubby no. she is HEALTHY. and YOU dont know what CHUBBY is. You don't have to look like that to be healthy. Don't need all this, but I'm kinda bored with all that "healthy" stories. Girl can be lean and healthy, same as she can be chubby and healthy, and I heard for some examples fat and healthy as well I like Esti for a long time, but I'm not blind, her body has changed for worse, if you ask me. I prefer leaner models and Esti doesn't look like a model on those candids. And it's obvious they photoshoped her body a lot for those editorial pics. Sorry, but that's my opinion, as being her objective fan for years now. the only thing that i think is a problem, is that u think that a girl like esti is -chubby. maybe she is not as thin as other supermodels are - but dont forget that she is not a runway model, she is not suppose to be too thin. she is healthy beautiful girl that eat healthy and not starve herself. and i think that saying that esti is chubby is not correct. sorry... Well, we're talking about a model and Esti is indeed chubby for model-standards. She might not be a runway model but model is model (unless you're plus-size or whatever) and as a model for editorial/catalogue you also need to be sort of skinny to fit the sample sizes of the clothes you'll be photographed in.

I was rooting for her in the ANTM-competition since she looked the most modelesque to me. She looks just like Julija Steponaviciute.
