I think Gigi is a welcomed surprise for the show. VS has talked long enough about how much they want "womanly" bodies but they have kept casting too skinny girls like Chanel, Karlie or Grace etc. So getting a SI model on board makes more sense to the show than a lot of their recent choices. Plus, Gigi is the "pretty girl"-type of model. So she's actually perfect for the show. I don't know who's also in outta all the non-Angels, but Lily D is rumored to be in? Please no! She's been around way too long, considering she's never really stood out.

There was this one year (I think even last year?) where the VS casting people looked at a casting video of Sui in underwear, making it look like as if she auditioned through a video. I wouldn't count her out just yet. I hope they won't cast Grace again. She looks way too emaciated and that leotard with the leopard-print last year made her look cheap.

Guess, it is special for a male model to say that he modeled for "Victoria's Secret". The only male models I can remember working for VS before are Marios Lekkas and Thiago Santos.

It's almost an art form to come up with such crappy ideas for PINK. I'll try to design some PINK outfits without the hideous element.

wow, Lily has come a long way. I'm glad to see that she realized what works best for her - which is a sultry, womanly image and not a smiley, highschool-girl since her smile is not her best asset. It was a bit unfamiliar to see Jac in the commercial since I'm so used to the 5 veteran Angels + Elsa and Lais. I'm curious to see what songs Selena Gomez, Rihanna and The Weeknd will perform in this year's show.

Been wanting to post that for a while Also, regulars who VS loves got their invite back in August and they have to call back to VS and tell them if they want to walk or not. I know some who already confirmed but can't name who cuz i'll get my ass and my bae's ass in trouble. Oh and I agree about them having an all New Angels segment, i think they would and I totally expect Jojo to walk it. You know a girl who is walking and haven't told me??? I know one who is walking, one who most likely isn't and some that were asked to go to castings I also know why we got performers announced before the FB. Can't post anything tho, bae told me to STFU this year I have no idea of when will the castings happen tho, but I'm willing to bet next Monday. If you can't post anything, how about you just keep quiet entirely about knowing something?? Attention seeker much?

if PINK had a beach-theme, Rixton's "We all want the same thing" would be a perfect song. Or a mash-up between "We all want the same thing" with Hailee Steinfeld's "Love myself". I know, I'm a fool to hope for a mash-up but one still can dream

I hope candice isn't pregnant (wouldn't she announced it if she was anyway?). I don't like it when angels are absent from the show in general. That's the only occasion where all the angels are definitely coming together. Especially for the 20th anniversary show all of the angels should be there.

I remember way back then, the "list of victoria's secret models" on wikipedia also included Uma Thurman and I thought someone just wrote the name. But it's true - Uma Thurman modeled for VS in the 80's.

It surprises me how many people see Angel-material in Josephine Skriver. I've read it plenty of times. I personally don't see Angel-material but VS seems to respond to whom the fans want to see... for a change.

Sometimes it seems as if the ppl from VS don't even know what they are doing. It's highly irritating how a company like VS used to know how to showcase its brand and now they do all these weird choices like an inexperienced company.

I'm sure they will try to make the show really special cause it's the 20th anniversary show but I'm afraid what their understanding of "special" has become over the years. I think they were stupid not to spare the idea with the two fbs for this coming show.

who's also already curious to see which of the ten new Angels will get the boot first? I'm all for Stella to get fired because she irritates me. I really don't see what VS sees in her. Plus she seems not invested in her work. I thought that Kate G was one of the most beautiful girls in last year's show but her previous VS work so far was truly rather disappointing. And why there are people out there that would actually think that Taylor and Martha are Angels (partly) thanks to Taylor Swift? You would have to explain. It's no secret that VS loves her... so?

What I find the most ridiculous about this situation is that it almost screams out how desperate VS is to find fast replacements for Ale and Adri. I mean, already 2-3 years ago it was predictable that they won't stay really long, so VS should have provided girls that have serious Angel-potential. But what happened? They went with Lindsay and Karlie - girls that you could tell from the minute they got contracted weren't there for the long run. So the "up-and-coming" Angels ended up leaving before even the veterans did and now that the veterans are very likely to leave, VS doesn't have any girls to fill the gap and getting 10 girls at once is an unprofessional way to fill the gap. Outta the ten girls, I can only see the total package in Elsa. Saying who has the "it"-factor does is a subjective matter but still there are girls where the majority can tell they have it. Girls like Doutzen, Miranda or Candice. And then there are others where the majority can tell they won't leave a mark - girls like Lindsay, Chanel or Erin. So seeing Angel-material based solely on their looks, Jasmine, Martha, Sara, Martha, Jac and especially Stella fall through (which doesn't mean they're ugly by any means!!!) Then there are Lais, Romee, Taylor and Kate G left. Kate G: I haven't seen Kate G talking before, so I can't tell if she also has the personality for this job. Romee: I'm on the fence with Romee because I also don't see what she brings new to the table with someone like Candice being already in the roster. Taylor: I think she's actually a huge Angel-contender but NOT NOW! In last year's show you could tell she's still a baby Lais: She confuses me the most, because she actually got the looks but she doesn't have any spark which makes her beauty fall flat If it was for me, I would have let Ale and Adri go already in 2012 by using the idea with the two fantasy bra already in that year. I would have hired Candice and Bar Refaeli in 2009, Irina Shayk in 2012, Emily DiDonato in 2013 and Elsa in 2014 with Taylor Hill being her successor as the PINK spokesmodel (to groom her to become an Angel in 2017-2018). I thought of Shanina Shaik or Senait Gidey too.

I'm reluctant to believe that all these girls became "Angels". Does anyone remember when Toni Garrn was hired to do a campaign + commercial and she was hashtagged #NewAngel which made a lot of people think that she became an Angel, even though she was merely hired to that one thing for VS? Same thing could be the case now. All of these girls were hired to do that umbrella-commercial, so that's why they are called Angels.

Thanks to the annual show, VS is known all over the world. So if they're going to push for the European market, they wouldn't start as complete unknowns in the lingerie market of France or Italy for instance. I can see a lot of women thinking that VS is finally available in their countries too, so they'd switch to VS lingerie or at least take a shot at VS lingerie.

as a die-hard VS fan, this news is seriously cringeworthy. It was already a huge turn-off when Erin, Candice, Rosie, Chanel and Lily got the Angel-contract at once (I only saw "it" in Candice) and it didn't come to me as a surprise that the rest got the boot one after another (I strongly believed that it was the SI cover that saved Lily... and she also did improve on the runway). I couldn't wait for Lindsay and Karlie to go either. They just didn't fit to sell lingerie. And then there were so many signs that Elsa became an Angel. Six Angels! After so many years, it seemed VS finally got their act together ... well, now they dropped their most ridiculous idea! And one day there are so many Angels that even they have to go to castings for the show

The supermodel-list on vsallaccess.com has finally been updated and to my VERY big surprise Elsa is NOT included. I find this so irritating because so many, actually reliable websites are getting the news out that Elsa is the newest Angel (msn being the latest one). My only guess is that they took out Doutzen's, Karlie's and Lindsay's profile first and are in the process of getting Elsa's profile ready.

Not a big surprise that Jasmine, Stella, Martha and especially Sara are not Angels. The big surprise is rather that Elsa isn't an Angel. After her agency IMG wrote on her profile that she signed the official Angel-contract + posing with the other Angels at the pre show-events, her Angel-status seemed so obvious... although Behati also posed with the other Angels back in 2008 and by that time she also wasn't an Angel.

Personally i find SI models a lot sexier than VS models since SI has kept their formular to hire models that actually have nice bodies (which is why i'm quite irritated that they hired chanel iman). As a model, however, it's better to do VS than SI because SI doesn't really open doors for models to do much high fashion stuff. Unless you get the cover, you pretty much get stuck with being in the LA or miami fashion market but it's NY, paris and milan that "qualifies" a model to have made it big. Since VS wants to keep that lil bit of a high fashion edge, they mostly hire successful models and today's most successful models are sadly those skinny hf models. Therefore all the VS models get skinnier and skinnier and less and less attractive but they are known in fashion circles while SI's rookies are way sexier and are perceived as "women" as opposed to as "girls" but most of them are always either super unknown models or hf models that have become "too big" to do hf. I guess my point is that if u get VS, it cements your status as a successful model because they always hire successful models while when u get SI, you don't get the same credit because SI hires either unknown models or hf-leftovers which basically means u must be a model that no one has cared about so far or no one cares about anymore.
