Since you asked, we can fix that. An email of confirmation should be winging its way to you now. :morning:

It's definitely going to be an interesting twist. The only slight worry I have about the Ancient One inhabiting different humans is from more of a long-term perspective, because it could open up the possibility of what would essentially amount to stunt casting. I think the pros will outweigh the cons though, as long as they don't feel the need to drag things out too much.

    Harley's here too...

I think one of my main reservations about Leto’s Joker is how young he looks, at least from a distance. Somehow makes it a bit tricky to imagine the dynamic between him and a Batman who we've been led to believe will be appearing as a much older character. Even though in reality, Leto and Affleck are probably about the same age.

I wouldn't be at all surprised. No doubt he'll be portrayed as a diamond geezer who was elbowed out of Premier League management by an evil foreign owner, rubbish foreign players and shady directors who foisted players upon him that he never wanted.

What I personally think makes Harley such a brilliant creation is that she taps into what it means to be insanely passionate about something. Hardcore fans often do things that seem crazy or waste their time and money just to get closer to the things they love most, and that's pretty much the character in a nutshell. Without wishing to sound too presumptuous, I dare say the majority of comic book readers can relate to her on some level.

I'm assuming that's his 'just busted out of Arkham' look. Hopefully, it's one of those designs that works onscreen, in motion and in the right lighting, because it hasn't looked that appealing to me in the promotional stills. We're going to have to wait and see what they've put together when we've got all the elements, but I get the feeling that Leto will either completely knock it out of the park or the whole thing will be a spectacular failure. Somehow, I can't see there being much in the way of middle ground.

This new image of ?you-know-who started doing the rounds on the internet this afternoon. It's appearing as the cover of the December issue of Empire Magazine, for folks who have a subscription.

It obviously wouldn't be the case if he were foreign, but it's remarkable just how much sympathy he's been afforded from those 'in the know' lately. Over the last few months, the British media's portrayal of the likes of Van Gaal and Pellegrini has been much worse than that of Sherwood, and they're competing near the top of the league.

I'm not sure if Randy Lerner has been utilising the same 'director of football' set-up as Ellis Short this past year, but it's hard not to see similarities between Sherwood's time at Villa and Dick Advocaat at Sunderland, despite the obvious difference in managerial experience. Advocaat took over a team that, contrary to the apparent media perception, was hovering just above the bottom three, banged some heads together and cleverly created a siege mentality where there was little pressure on the players. The club then went on to make a number of summer signings who, in theory, should have been decent performers, but he appeared to send them onto the pitch without anything resembling a gameplan, and preceded to start running them down in public (the re-introduction of Kieran Richardson at the expense of Jordan Amavi seemed particularly odd) when results weren't forthcoming. Once that sort of thing starts happening, it never seems to be long before the chop comes.

Even with Eva Green front and centre in every episode, I was on the verge of giving up on it after the first season wrapped. Later on, I was persuaded to give some of the newer episodes a whirl and I'm glad I did, because they were a huge step up. The prospect of introducing a different story arc every season is always appealing too. A lot of shows these days have the same plot continue year in and year out and it becomes tedious, especially in this genre.

Daisy Jazz Isobel Ridley (born 10 April 1992) is an English actress. She is to appear in the lead role of Rey in the 2015 film Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Ridley has appeared in the television programmes Youngers, Silent Witness, Mr Selfridge and Casualty. She also appeared in the short film "Blue Season," which was entered into the Sci-Fi-London 48-Hour Film Challenge. She played the lead in film three of "Lifesaver," an interactive film which was nominated for a BAFTA British Academy Award. She has also appeared in the music video for Wiley's song "Lights On". In April 2014, it was announced that she will play Rey, one of the lead characters in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. She was chosen for the film in February 2014. The casting of Ridley has generally been seen as a move by director JJ Abrams to repeat the casting of relatively unknown actors for the lead roles as George Lucas did with the first Star Wars film in 1977. After receiving several competing offers, Ridley switched from her original talent agency Jonathan Arun to the United Talent Agency in August 2014. Following a two-month stint with UTA, Ridley signed on with the Creative Artists Agency in October 2014. In August 2015, it was announced that Ridley would voice the lead role of Taeko in the English dub of the 1991 animated film Only Yesterday, scheduled to be released in 2016.

I haven't seen Ridley in anything and am only vaguely familiar with Boyega, which I suppose follows the tradition of George Lucas casting relatively unknown actors as lead characters. I’ve no worries about Oscar Isaac though, he was great in Inside Llewyn Davis, A Most Violent Year and Ex Machina.

Bringing back the old guard always seems fraught with danger, but in this case, I think there are more pros than cons. The oldies don’t have to be (nor should they be) the focus of the new films. The biggest and most vital roles should be given to their children or whoever the main protagonists are, and his handling of Leonard Nimoy's Spock in 'Star Trek' suggests that Abrams understands that. Overall, if they mostly play supporting roles and are included in a way that doesn't feel forced or intrusive, I could see it working out fine.
