Since we're mindful of how quickly mild disagreements can get ugly online, we ask members to try and tread carefully, to stay on topic at all times, and to be aware of the thin line between expressing opinions/constructive criticism (which we're okay with) and baiting/bashing (which we’re not okay with). Thanks @toodarnhot, that looked fantastic. There's small part of me that wishes I hadn't seen some of what was in it, it would have been amazing to have gone in blind and just enjoyed the surprises. Spidey's intro was especially great though, I like that they're using the same effect from 'Deadpool' to make his eyes emote. Also, Hawkeye shooting Ant-Man on one of his arrows? Yes please. As far as the actual civil war element goes, Team Cap looks like a serious underdog here. Stark has the godlike Vision, Rhodey (effectively a second Iron Man), Spidey, Widow and Panther on side. Rogers’ most powered-up ally will be Wanda, then the not-really-very-scary Ant-Man, Bucky, Hawkeye and Falcon. Although I suppose Lang could be more threatening if he's able to access Giant Man mode, as is currently rumoured.

It's been so long since I last thought about this topic. While I'm here, a few more... “Thunder only happens when it's raining” - You shouldn't need to be a meteorologist to know that's not the case. “We don’t need no education” - The double negative might suggest otherwise. ''All I need is the air that I breathe'' - Have a word with a dietician if you believe that.

According to a recent listing, 'Civil War' is going to be the longest MCU film to date, clocking in at what I suppose you'd have to say is a rather lengthy running time of 2 hours and 26 minutes. Fans of superhero movies are going to be spending a lot of time in cinemas over the next couple of months.

Thought it was really enjoyable. We're only barely into March, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be the most successful action/comedy of the year. It's very evident that the movie was a passion project for Reynolds, he fits the role so perfectly that there are a few echoes of Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. I suppose the slight problem with Deadpool, not just in the movie but as a character, is that he's very much his own antagonist and that doesn't always leave a lot of room for a great villain. Poor old Ed Skrein, although he does his best as Ajax, he just doesn’t come across as a real bad guy. The rest of the supporting cast were very good though, I loved Colossus and Brianna Hildebrand's performance as NTW was inspired. Pretty impressed by Gina Carano too.
  9. Despite renewals usually being announced in May, it's been confirmed that the show will be coming back for a fourth season.
  10. It's been confirmed that another new name has been added to the cast. Tommy Flanagan (Chibs from 'Sons of Anarchy') will be playing the right hand man of Yondu. Allegedly, Sylvester Stallone has been spotted on set too. His potential role isn't known at the moment, only that he won't be playing Quill's father or lending his voice to Ego the living planet, which had been widely rumoured.
  11. I flip-flop between 'Guardians' and 'Winter Soldier' as my favourite Marvel movie quite a bit, but the former has the greater replay value for me. It just has an energy to it that draws you in time and time again. I wouldn’t necessarily make a point of watching the DVD, but even now, when I stumble upon it on TV, I end up watching the whole thing every time.

Granted, my only experience of Maxim is the editorials posted on this and other such forums, but I can honestly say that I've never known it to show full nudity. It's always been pretend pornography.

Don't worry, images that are already censored are fine to be posted outside spoiler tags.

She has a really interesting and unique look. Obviously not as atypical as Devon Aoki, but there's a touch of Devon about some of her work.

The Academy often do seem to gravitate towards the sort of physical performance that Leonardo gave in 'Revenant', although I wouldn't say he carried the movie in the way he did with, say, 'Wolf of Wall Street'. In 'The Aviator' he was utterly brilliant as Howard Hughes, and there were his turns in 'J. Edgar' and 'Blood Diamond' as well, for which he was overlooked. A more petulant man would probably have just stuck two fingers up to the Oscars after that. Overall though, I'd say he deserves this win, if only for his cumulative track record of strong performances.

A part of me thinks this was the Academy paying him back for the other half-dozen times he's not won. Quite honestly, I think if ever there were a time when he really should have been a winner, it was back in 2004 for his performance in 'The Aviator'. For me, that really was the best work of his career. Still, there's no doubting how much this means to the guy. Look how tightly he's holding onto the award.

Some pretty hot draws for the next round of the Europa this afternoon, it looks seriously unpredictable and is interesting me a lot more than the Champions League these days. Had no idea that United and Liverpool had never met in a European tie before now. It could become an iconic game. It probably won't though.

England and Wales should be box office material. Hodgson has England playing more efficiently these days, although no one of note in Europe is looking at us as a genuine threat and, I suppose you'd have to say, rightly so. Wales on the other hand seem to be on the up and up, to see them play the way they did against Belgium in the qualifiers, and to hold off the rest of the group was really quite remarkable. Given the way the tournament is structured this year, it shouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility for them to reach the quarters if Bale and Ramsey stay fit.

I'd love to tell you that English fans are all sweet-smelling types, but the reality is almost certainly a bit different.

What did you think of this one? It confounded me a bit, if I'm honest. Great performances all round, but the second half of the movie (trying to avoid spoilers, of course) seemed to lack any kind of dramatic stakes or coherence, with lots of shifts in perspective and a seemingly random mix-up of domestic scenes. It led to a welcome uplifting climax, but one that I personally felt hadn't been fully earned. There's a great film to made about the resilience of a child in peril, I'm not sure if that was it though.
