What a berk I feel for not thinking to start this one. Laura is awesome and criminally underused on both her shows.
  2. Hello, good evening and welcome!
  3. Should be really interesting to see how this one goes. The first movie was a surprise critical and commercial smash, although seeing as Marvel announced the sequel before it had even opened, it's probably to fair to say they had an inkling that it would play well with fans. Still, they'll have to contend with some massively increased expectations this time out. Several new cast members have already been announced (with more surprises promised in the coming months), but there's only one familiar name from the books confirmed to debut so far. Pom Klementieff as Mantis should be a great call by Gunn, she's a perfect fit for the physical design of the character.

Martin Freeman is now confirmed to be playing Everett Ross, who traditionally I believe serves as the American government’s man in Wakanda. It’s a part that I'd imagine would bring Freeman into the Black Panther’s world and probably make him a safe bet to make even more appearances later on.

You'll be supporting England for this one, I trust?

We're on Facebook, but not Instagram at the moment. I've always liked the idea of BZ having accounts across all social media, although I must confess, I'm a bit dense when it comes down to actually using some of them.

Far too little Gemma on my TV now that 'Humans' is finished. Thanks again for the pics, Shep.

The first trailer for the second series has been released, and it looks like the Punisher is going to be a major focus as Matt's primary antagonist. He's not messing around, either.

Not even Michael Owen's dalek commentary could ruin the game for me today. We really should have beaten Man City, we came back from the dead against Liverpool, and now have edged out (an admittedly rather ordinary-looking) Man United. The new boys have lifted everyone's spirits and are clearly a cut above what we had before, with Kirchoff in particular looking like a player who could hold down a place in a top side. The big problem, as has been the case since the year dot, is that we've given the teams around us such a massive head start and most of the other strugglers are showing signs of improvement as well. Still, if we can keep performing like this, we must be in with a decent chance of survival.

Personally, I think the Champions League and the Europa League, even with all their undoubted flaws, still deliver everything a Super League could in terms of the actual football. Saying that, you could easily see them favouring a US style system where the clubs are essentially franchises that buy their way into the league, with no promotion or relegation unless said league expands or contracts. Presumably as a reaction to their panic over competing financially with the seemingly untold riches suddenly on offer now in China.

Superbowl TV commercial is here. In general, I'm still excited about this, aside from CGI that comes across as looking a bit off in a couple of the scenes. I suppose it’s not uncommon for incomplete effects to find their way into a film's marketing, but I’m guessing/hoping that will be tightened up for the full release.

I'd watch that. The top clubs from Europe uniting to form an elite league, comprising such superpowers as Bayern, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus and, erm, Leicester.

I only remember laughing twice (for one of which, I'm pretty sure the joke was unintentional) during that one.

From what I can gather, it's crammed with cameos from people in the fashion world, all of whom are very keen to show that they’re in on the joke. Which I suppose you'd have to say isn't a very good sign, especially since many of them are known for taking themselves rather seriously.

I'm surprised by the title, nobody ever seems to call their movie 'Such and Such 2' any more. Given the increased fan anticipation that inevitably comes as part and parcel of making a sequel, I get the feeling this could end up being a bit too self-conscious for its own good. The original worked for me, mostly because there wasn't really much of an audience for it at the time of release. Consequently, because expectations very low, there was something quirky, charming and quite free about it. Also, minus points for the apparent lack of Jovovich.
  18. Not sure how much Zack Snyder is going to source from Miller's written material, but he's certainly swiped all manner of visual cues. To be quite honest, I'm really hoping that they're still holding back a few choice twists, and that the stuff shown in the trailer isn't the entire plot, because it’s a pretty big reveal to show us the war beyond the original battle that most folks will be coming to see the movie for in the first place. Overall, from the promotional material I've seen so far, the only thing I'm genuinely excited about at the moment is Wonder Woman. Even her inclusion (not to mention those of Aquaman and Flash) feels a bit superficial, like they're trying too hard to play catch-up with Marvel.

Leaving 13 minutes from the end really was tempting fate. But enough about Liverpool's defence. We're going to have to hope for another of the teams above us to do a Norwich and lose four or five games on the trot. As in Swansea, Bournemouth, Newcastle or West Brom. There's also the tricky matter of us winning a few between now and May.

P.S. Thanks to all for the updates, I particularly like the Interview shoot.

I dare say even Kenny from 'South Park' has had fewer onscreen deaths than Clara at this point.

I will admit to quite liking the bits where they get Guillem to do a video conference call, the angle of the camera always makes it look like a hostage situation. It may only be a matter of time before Sky's payments to the Premier League arrive on the condition that clubs spend a percentage of the cash on deadline day signings, which I'm sure a lot of Arsenal fans would be in favour of. Knowing our luck, we'd end up with a vast backlog of wasters who we'd virtually have to pay to get rid of. What a thought.

Surprised by the levels of negativity towards the opener, although admittedly, I'd hoped for more given that they only have six episodes to play with. Carter's new twist on the mythology was quite neat, but for some reason the show's blurring of lines between fact and fiction feels less fun than it used to. Hopefully, it gets on more of a roll as it goes on.

I'm really looking forward to the Superbowl coverage now, presumably with John Madden Football '92 used for analysis. I personally prefer it when there's absolutely nothing happening and they're forced to pad it out, but there must have been a few corks popping at Sky HQ when the 'Pep to Man City' story broke, it's filled the day perfectly for them. They can harp on about it until 8pm, then trot out Jim White to fill us in on the latest comings and goings at Dumbarton.
