  4. Dearly beloved, the moment of truth has arrived. Here comes the top five...
  5. Topic moved to the models section.
  6. I take what you're saying on board. Certainly, the title of the topic isn't meant to be taken too seriously, however not all the posts inside are jokey ones. There's been a lot of serious discussion going on too.
  7. We're going round in circles here. To clarify in case I haven't done a good job of explaining myself, I didn't say a topic or subforum dedicated to politics was a bad idea. I said the staff hadn't reached any official decision on whether or not we should have one, which as far as I'm aware is still the case. The reorganisation of a few posts in the interim was meant to address the aforementioned concerns about political discussions in GenTalk, albeit in a small way.
  8. No, I know, but the posts we're talking about at the moment made specific reference to Trump and his inauguration. I don't think anyone said anything about moving every political post into the Trump topic.
  9. Hey, welcome to the forum. Usually, the rules of a contest thread can be found in its opening post. Is there a particular one that you'd like an explanation for? If so, do feel free to drop me a line.
  10. As I mentioned earlier, GenTalk has been heavy with back-and-forth political debate lately, which a number of members have expressed concerns about. Even one-off posts seem to have the potential to spark lengthy discussions at the moment, and we'd rather funnel everything into one place than have the same conversations constantly happening across multiple topics.

  17. I'm not aware of any official ruling on this, but there's been so much overspill in GenTalk lately that we seem to have ended up with two or three topics all more or less serving the same purpose. So it probably would make sense to try and keep all the Trump talk in one place wherever possible.

Needless to say, the news about Joleon Lescott training with us in an effort to land a short-term deal left me as bemused as the next guy, but the really sad thing is that I don't expect the misery to end there. Despite our extensive collection of right-backs (Jones, Love and Manquillo), I still wouldn't rule out Tony Hibbert turning up and making the position his own.
  19. Yeah, great leaps for both Hannah and Vika this year. I feel like Vika's jump of 58 places might be a record, but I'm flip-flopping on whether or not I'm too lazy to check. Edit: I'm too lazy to check.
