Problems and Suggestions for BZ - Post Here
Typically, we'll consider deleting a model thread only if there's nothing salvageable left in it (for example, if there was no bio included and the images were all deadlinks from a defunct image host), or if we receive a formal request from the model to whom it's devoted. Did you have a particular thread in mind?

The Avengers, Age of Ultron, Infinity War & Endgame (2012-2019)
Thinking about it now, I wouldn't be too surprised if that were to happen one of these days. Particularly if the kind of grilling that poor Daisy Ridley has been subjected to as of late becomes the norm.

The Avengers, Age of Ultron, Infinity War & Endgame (2012-2019)
Not that I'd actually wish it on anyone of course, but a part of me is a little bit curious about what the consequences would be if one of the actors were to inadvertently reveal something major about the plot. Speaking of things that may or may not turn out to be potential spoilers, a photo posted by some bloke called Robert Downey Jr sparked a flurry of speculation yesterday over the whereabouts of Tony's arc reactor chest piece.

Thread cleaned. Guys, personal issues don't belong in the model topics. If you must have such discussions, please do it off the board or via PM. Please also try to be mindful of the thin line between expressing opinions/constructive criticism (which we're okay with) and baiting/bashing (which we’re not okay with). This is not limited to the models featured here, it also includes your fellow members. As always, if anyone has any questions, feel free to message me. For now, let's get back to the topic at hand. Ta everyone for your cooperation.

Mr. Robot
The second season was really well made, but seemingly very preoccupied with trying to be as wacky and strange as possible, often to the point of bringing the narrative to a complete standstill. A big step down from the show's great first run, I thought.

I bet any money that Daniel Day Lewis is playing a retiree in his next film and that this is him method acting.

Wonder Woman (2017)
For some reason, a sequel is something I've yet to see much talk of up to now. It's quite a contrast to something like Guardians of the Galaxy, where despite its success being mostly unexpected, a second movie was announced before it had even opened. Warners must not have had as much of an inkling that this would play well with fans.

Thread cleaned. A group of fans taking over the club would of course be a romantic notion and to be fair, their hearts are probably in the right places, but it becomes all the more typically Sunderland when jokers like Tony Adams start getting a mention. Quite honestly, I'd rather Short not sell up and let Robbie Stockdale have a go as manager than bring Adams to the club in any capacity. Even bringing him on board as an advisor would be like hiring Paul Merson as a nutritionist.

It feels like the fans are more or less in agreement that a takeover must happen in order to have any chance of arresting the club's long term slide, and the rumour about the German consortium seems to have the most substance to it, although I've yet to meet anyone with a strong preference for who eventually comes in. And of course, the longer the whole process takes, the more damage is done to our short-term prospects. If it drags on much longer, we'll probably have to get used to the idea of the coming Championship season being one of transition instead of a realistic push for promotion.

The Avengers, Age of Ultron, Infinity War & Endgame (2012-2019)
Fury and Hill certainly know and I believe Sif found out in one of the early Agents of SHIELD episodes, I wouldn't be surprised if they made it so that Tony knows as well. With Loki confirmed to appear and presumably siding with Thanos, I think a little "remember me" moment between him and Coulson would be a nice callback to the first film. Assuming it's still on the air by then, they could even do a tie-in episode or two of AoS to flesh out the battle a bit more.

The Avengers, Age of Ultron, Infinity War & Endgame (2012-2019)
Yeah, as a longstanding Vision fan, it certainly wouldn't be a scene that I'd relish watching, but it does seem to be on the cards. Speaking of Coulson, I think it's high time they finally tied up the loose end of the team not knowing he's alive. I'm sure they could spin it so that his resurrection was kept off the books and not included in Romanoff's Winter Soldier leak, and it would make for a nice moment when the Avengers see him again for the first time. I wonder what the chances are of Marvel integrating at least some of the TV characters into this or the next movie?

The Avengers, Age of Ultron, Infinity War & Endgame (2012-2019)
It'll be fascinating to see how that goes, because the only reason I can come up with for so many characters to share the screen would be a full-scale throwdown with Thanos, and I hadn't really envisaged that happening until Avengers 4. I figured Thanos would probably spend the majority of this movie finishing his gem collection, which I suppose you'd have to say would include either him or one of his generals ripping the stone out of Vision's head.

Confederations Cup officially underway, then. If nothing else, the opening game should have arrested any fears about Russian doping at next year's World Cup, because I doubt there's any amount of drugs that could help this lot win anything.

Anyone ever have one of those dreams where, for reasons not altogether clear at the time, you can't quite seem to complete a simple task? That's more or less what supporting Sunderland feels like most of the time. I've pinched myself a few times now, but haven't managed to wake up yet.

Wonder Woman (2017)
If I'm honest, I found Wonder Woman's introduction in Batman v Superman to be a bit of a non-event at the time, although Diana not being bogged down by the same ridiculous levels of 'grimdark' seriousness as everyone else did come as a pleasant surprise. Lord knows, if ever a film were in need of some levity, it's Justice League. Word of mouth is going to be even better after Wonder Woman though, so I could perhaps imagine more of the non-superhero moviegoing crowd being open to giving Justice League a chance.

Alien: Covenant
Not much of it worked for me while it was rolling, but certain things grew on me the more I thought about them afterwards. There's a full-on Frankenstein story starring David, there's a decent exploration scenario involving random crew members getting themselves killed, there's a mostly pointless prologue about the terrors of a storm and there's a final act where they whip through virtually every trope from the Alien franchise, but at about three times the speed. All of which made for a very flawed but not uninteresting watch. I think what struck me most about it was just how much the xenomorph plays second fiddle to David. It feels like Scott has become less interested in the aliens themselves and the horror they bring, and more in artificial intelligence and the impact it has on humans. So much so that he seems to have started trying to weave the synthetic android themes of Blade Runner into the Alien mythology.

Wonder Woman (2017)
It does seem possible that the success of Wonder Woman and the renewed momentum of the character could help change DC's trajectory somewhat, and perhaps set the tone for a bigger box office performance by Justice League. Critics haven't been buying what Zack Snyder sells for a long time and I wouldn't expect that to change anytime soon, but Diana's presence could now bring in people that Batman v Superman didn't. Which would probably have been unthinkable even just a couple of months ago.

Wonder Woman (2017)
The only other thing I've heard about is Gotham City Sirens, which is seemingly being treated by David Ayer as something of a Suicide Squad do-over. Although, between that and the Harley-Ivy dynamic presumably being one of the most important plot points, I don't know if I trust them not to simply make 'Trash Level Fan Service: The Movie'. Still, I could probably think of at least ten other comic book properties with female leads out there that would be perfect for the cinematic treatment. If Hollywood now grasps that they can tear up the box office, I would expect more studios to become more open to the idea of making them.

From an outsider's perspective, although an eighth place finish and a cup final certainly isn't too shabby, it doesn't seem like many Southampton fans are that disappointed to see the back of Claude Puel. I do find it strange though that no-one 'in the know' has questioned the club with regard to appointing him in the first place, because there's very little chance that the board weren't aware of how Puel liked to set up his teams beforehand. Surely, if you want attacking football, you hire a manager known for playing it.
