  2. It was in Matt's thread originally, but I think that was just Ed's dress rehearsal.

  4. ^I share many of the ones already posted (particularly Calvi, the Dehezas, Stein and O) but I'll do my best to avoid repetition. Natasha Khan (Bat For Lashes) - a huge favourite for some time now. Laura Marling - owner of the most understated yet effortlessly pure voice I think I've ever heard. Akiko Matsuura (The Big Pink / Comanechi) - you could be forgiven for thinking she was dreamed up by Bryan Lee O'Malley. A cute and slightly unhinged drummer, fond of playing onstage topless. Jenny Lee Lindberg (Warpaint) - although to be honest, deciding my favourite Warpaint member was a tricky task in itself. Annie - Norwegian singer of 'Chewing Gum', which to my mind, is still one of the best pop songs in the world. Alison Mosshart (The Kills / The Dead Weather) - in a sort of 'I could kick your head in' kind of way. Sharin Foo (The Raveonettes) - an obvious one I guess, and since her band has a new album out this year, still vaguely relevant? And finally, Alice Cooper - she's great!

Gareth Barry to skipper England tonight. Doesn't Fabio realise there's an FA fine for playing a weakened side?

Christmas by far. Critical acclaim or commercial success?

I'll take a wild guess at Burn After Reading.

  9. As an avid fan of the old Sega Mega Drive/Genesis console, I was quite partial to Blaze from the long-forgotten (but nevertheless classic) fighter Streets of Rage. But if anyone repeats that, I'll deny it. Shortly after that, when I discovered actual people who exist, it was Kate Moss and Anna Friel for me.

If Enid and Rebecca from 'Ghost World' were to ever form a band, I strongly suspect that it would sound almost exactly like this. For fans of Siouxsie & The Banshees, Warpaint and The xx.

Not guilty. Touching something with a 'do not touch' sign on it.

^Last I heard, it was pencilled in for the beginning of May. I believe the band ended up re-recording much of the album, having previously said it would be released before the end of 2010.
