  1. Her smile is adorable!
  2. I honestly have better things to do with my life than worry about some online "culture war". I just abhor hypocrisy and much prefer honesty. So when people complain about too many black people in a fantasy show I would prefer they are honest about why it bothers them instead of hiding behind "authenticity" or some other bullshit. At least have the courage of your convictions. Secondly, Hollywood has ALWAYS changed the races of historical characters, it's not like they have started doing this in the last decade. That's how you can have John Wayne playing Genghis Khan or say Elizabeth Taylor playing Cleopatra. On the subject of Cleopatra, the black community has claimed her as well, but it makes no sense either. She was Macedonian Greek which makes it very likely she was Mediterranean in appearance. But I digress, the reality remains that race-switching characters is almost as old as Hollywood itself. The only thing that has happened more recently is that whereas this was primarily white actors playing non-white characters in the past, we now occasionally also have a non-white actor playing a white character.
  3. My point is that I cannot take seriously anyone who is supposedly a stickler for authenticity, but the only authenticity he/she ever complains about are matters of sex and race. Each historical drama gets so much wrong. The bad ones are even ridiculously poor in getting even the basics right (e.g. medieval settings where a character is wearing a garment with a zipper ).
  4. DeSantis probably used tax money to break the law with his Martha's Vineyard stunt, so if that is political genius I guess we have a different definition of the word. I know that over here any Governor who uses tax payer money that way would instantly end his or her political career.
  5. I don't care about Kathleen Kennedy or anything else. Four episodes in, Andor is a very good show. IF they can maintain this quality, it will easily be the best Star Wars show on Disney+, by some distance.
  6. The insistence on historical accuracy is very limited in its scope. It's usually just about race and/or gender. Whilst there are like 101 issues with every single historical show that go far beyond just those two things. Like if you are truly a stickler for authenticity, why would you watch Rome in English?
  7. For not allowing neighboring blue states to send help?
  8. Not sure what has changed but I'm really starting to like Bella.
  9. Yup, it's possible they have something of an open marriage. Even if they don't, Behati must have known what musicians are like on the road. Same with pro athletes during road trips.
  10. That's one of her agency digitals (she's with Wilhelmina). https://www.wilhelmina.com/new-york/women/curve/791-priscilla-huggins/49532/ That window is a pretty clear giveaway.
  11. Wait, are Mella & Kara friends IRL?
  12. She'll need one of those herself soon!
  13. Loved episode four too. I think it's my favorite Disney Star Wars show now.

  15. Engaged! Who is her boyfriend? Well fiancee now I guess!
  16. He's like a knock-off of Littlefinger, only I thought Aidan Gillen played that much more interestingly.
  17. Daemon is the character archetype that GoT was so good in mining so many good scenes/plots out of. Red Viper of Dorne, Jaime, even Daario Naharis to a certain extent. The Rogueish chaos merchants. Daemon is so boring compared to all of them.
  18. I do think a lot of interest will wane for me once Paddy is gone. This show is otherwise just so devoid of interesting characters. Alicent is boring. Rhaenyra is boring. Daemon is annoying. Cole is a mopey bore. I almost have to hope that the adult versions of Rhaenyra and Alicent kids morph into interesting characters, otherwise I do not know how this show is going to keep the audience's interest.
  19. Doesn't have a way to control the video progress if I open it.
  20. Looking a LOT like young Cindy here!
  21. It was okay. I like Olivia Cooke better as Alicent. Blacks vs. Greens is what the two parties are called after the Tourney in honor of Viserys' wedding to Alicent. Named for the colors they wore at that occasion. The only reference to that they included was Alicent's green dress last episode (at Rhaenyra's wedding instead of her own wedding). IIRC, Cole is also to knock Breakbones off his horse in the joust at that tourney, which is meant to be the start of their rivalry. It is very weird they included almost none of that in the show.
  22. Wait, I only realized now that we never got the Greens vs. Blacks tourney. That's odd.
  23. That's what happened to him! I had wondered having seen recent pictures how his face has changed so much.
  24. I'm assuming things are slightly different in the privacy of their own home, they wouldn't really be fighting in front of paparazzi after all.
