I think he'll still be in the show whether or not he is really shot. But I'd prefer if the rest of the season isn't devoted to Ray flashbacks.

I don't think he was wearing a vest, I believe the top few buttons on his shirt were undone and there was nothing visible underneath.

I do wonder if the scandal involving his son had anything to do with it? That did not speak very well of the culture that exists amongst the players.

There's no way that Ray is dead, right? Since there is no way that he would just walk away from two such shotgun blasts to the chest, I'm guessing the twist will be that he was shot with non-lethal ammo.

She has no reason to personally care about style and fashion. However, as an A-lister it would be stupid financially not to at least care a little bit. So I guess that is the source of what you guys are seeing?

So far, Vince Vaughn's story line seems entirely ripped off from the early 1980s movie "The Long Good Friday". That is also about a criminal who hopes to go legit through a profitable land development. To this end, he also needs to impress and convince a foreign investor (the Russians in TD are replaced by Americans in "The Long Good Friday"). Likewise, on the day that everything is supposed to be signed and agreed upon, key people in his organization start dying and disappearing. There were already accusations of plagiarism during season one, I hope we don't get a repeat of that this year.
I find Kendall Jenner incredibly boring appearance wise.
Thing is, Nic Pizzolatto has never shied away from cliches. The main objection to this new season seems to be that the supernatural elements are all gone. I found the opening episode underwhelming. Farrell's performance is good (e.g. his nervous behavior in the flashback when Vince Vaughn's character gave him the identity of his wife's rapist), but some of the material he is working with is pretty poor imho. I love McAdams but I hate the fact that Pizzolatto has once again framed his female character through a one-track prism. Basically she is into freaky sex, has daddy issues and has a porn star sister. Do women even exist for Pizzolatto outside of their sexuality? In his universe, their value seems only linked to their fuckability or how their fate might influence the behavior of a male character.

You can burn through them pretty quickly, they are real pageturners.
Anyway, if you're really interested I strongly recommend you to read the books. Instead of just rumors on the internet. Yeah I know the theory, but it doesn't convince me. Again, it could be, considering how Martin works, but I doubt it. We'll have to wait for the next book to see who's right If it had no meaning, it would not have been in the text imho.

There is no way that Jon is dead. 1. Kit Harington got a huge raise when he renegotiated his contract for season 6 (and a possible season 7). The showrunners won't waste that dough on a character who might return for just one more episode in the next season. 3. Kit Harington's words are just to keep the uncertainty/intrigue going for as long as possible. I'm sure it'll be spoiled long before season 6 starts by some on-screen photographs that leak to the internet.
