  1. Which ones? The guy who asked for 40 cents on the dollar to fence him the diamonds. And his two big-ass bodyguards.
  2. LOL! Those guys reminded me instantly of "Snatch".
  3. Looking at that gif, Ray's mustache was perhaps the shows greatest loss to date.
  4. I don't recall a set photographer Did he even have a speaking part? He only had a couple of lines. One of which was guiltily admitting that he was perving on the hot, scantily clad extras. This is the guy:
  5. I like the theory of the brother being the set photographer. It would also explain what Laura was really doing on that set (to meet with her brother). It even links back to the core of the entire intrigue: taking pictures (or video).
  6. Like with the first season, the True Detective is probably supposed to be the audience. In any case, in the noir tradition, the detective doesn't have to be very good at his job. Just a victim of circumstance who happens upon some secret, or is used as a pawn, ... Speaking more broadly about the plot, this piece should answer almost every question (and many you might never have had). http://www.slate.com/blogs/browbeat/2015/08/03/true_detective_season_two_a_guide_to_the_plot_of_this_confusing_season.html
  7. Also in that Dutch interview: the fact that she went 1.5 years without seeing her mother! That seems an awful long time, especially for a globe-trotting model.
  8. Looks like the theory about the kids plotting their revenge might be the right one. I did find Paul's demise unrealistic. He survives a confrontation with four trained mercenaries but then gets killed by a guy who just happens to find himself at the right exit? Remember that Paul entered the underground tunnels through another door and there were likely several other ways out of there, but somehow Burris won the lottery by choosing the right one. How was he even there?
  9. Red hat & panties = have mercy!
  10. I'm not sure if I like the fact that they are staying so true to the original design of their outfits. Staying too faithful to the source materials is how you get things like Snyder's "Watchmen".
  11. It's funny, there is a tinge of an American accent there even when she speaks Dutch.
  12. He is obviously not dead. This is all part of the shows kayfabe. Neither the cast, the showrunners or the producers are deviating from what was shown on the screen. Until it will be disproved on the screen itself.
  13. So hot. I do wish she would get more varied work.
  14. No one is denying this, but dealing with bad interviewers, or incompetent interviewers or even rude interviewers is part of the job. She is there to sell the movie. That is all. If she wants to deal with those anchors, she can do so after the interview has been concluded. The way this usually goes is that the star bullshits (giving polite answers and not showing their frustration in spite of the incompetence being displayed) his way through the horrid interview and then either refuses to have an interview in the future with the same people (so if the same channel wants an interview for another movie they would need to let it be done by other people) or any future interview would under strict rules and/or a very tightly scripted pre-interview. Every single actor in the world hates doing promo. But it's part of the deal for anyone who wants to be in the industry. It was just weird and immature and I'm sure that it displeased those in charge of the feature's media campaign.
  15. I hope not, that would be really contrived. Those scenes actually reminded me more of Twin Peaks Specifically about Bob on Twin Peaks. Of course there have been too many subtle and not so subtle references to Twin Peaks all season long.
  16. The interviewers obviously did not help, but dealing with bad interviewers who ask inane questions is part of the job. If a pre-arranged TV interview can get her in this cranky state, I wonder how she fares at press junkets!
  17. Stan and Ben Caspar? But how would Caspar be involved? He was a corrupt civil servant, not the kind of man who I would think would be involved in murderous jewel heists.
  18. Her reaction to the media storm after her disaster of a TV interview is pretty funny. The issue here is not that people did not get you were being sarcastic, Cara. Also, if you don't believe she got a talking to from her publicist over this, you are crazy. I think she still has a lot of growing up to do. Can't have it both ways, if you want to be in the acting industry, you take the good with the bad.
  19. The attention devoted to Stan is a bit ridiculous though.
  20. Fukunaga still has a producing credit as well. Which considering the dig Nic Piz took at him in that one episode is pretty hilarious.
  21. Hadn't noticed that Pinky, will need to pay attention to it! This week's episode was very poor imho. Especially considering it was meant to be a big pay-off to the whole "hooker parties" build-up.
  22. Well she is their most high-profile girl now. I guess you could argue that Adri is at her level, but the rest of the cast aren't quite yet as "elevated". Yes but does that in any way reflects on commercial itself? It's going to be overcrowded anyways, what can Candy do that will change anything about that commercial? People will watch it anyways. If anything, Candy's biggest strength is print work. I mean, if they do put her in I won't complain. I just think it's not worth the extra trouble at this point. I guess not, my point was more that if they wanted to add her to the commercial in some capacity, it wouldn't be too difficult nor too expensive to do so. Obviously they don't HAVE to. One very easy way to structure it narratively is to use some sort of visual frame story device where she introduces and concludes the commercial solo.
