This is nothing new. Ever since 9/11, Saudi-Arabia has gotten a very weird free pass for its roll in financing terrorists.

To make matters even worse (well perhaps not worse but certainly slightly more weird), the department that sent out that message is entirely staffed by women.

Is it just me or are some of the visual effects/CGI in this trailer really crappy? Like, a tiny bit better than what network TV can manage, if that. Of course, it could just be that this is what they threw together for the trailer and the real effects will be much better.

"Wonder Woman" is already in the top ten of box office takes on the U.S. domestic market for 2017. The film should be in the top five by the end of this weekend. I'm guessing it'll probably either just get in or just fall short of the top three when all is said and done. Not bad for a movie that so many people were considering as having a high potential of turning into a box office disaster.

It's more about being objective. These guys are nothing new. Europe has had to deal with groups like that through most of its history. Some of them have all but been forgotten by history.

Europe already followed those kinds of leaders into the abyss once in the last century, I think most Europeans have reasoned - thankfully - that is quite enough.

The reality is that Europe has always been a violent continent, which includes war but also acts of terror. Only in the last decade, decade and a half has this become primarily about so-called Islamist terror. Why exactly we should freak out to an extent that we did not for any other forms of terrorism is something that I still haven't heard a good explanation for. Here is perhaps an interesting nugget: More Europeans died in terror attacks in the 1985-2001 period (thus roughly the period before what can be considered the modern day Islamist terrorism period) than did in the 2001-2017 period. So once again: tell me why I should be so much more worried now than I was in the 1980s and 1990s?
