I would say that inflation of goods has been nonstop. Before 2022 it was less noticeable but afterwards it became much more rapid. Trump has made inflation worse, even prices of wholesale goods at Costco have increased more rapidly than usually. But what really kills the standard of living in the US is housing, taxes, healthcare, and education costs- goods is a relatively small component. -
