Yeah seriously this year, she looked one of THE best, if not the best. And everybody loved the burger pictures. They were glamorous but normal at the same time lol

They mad because she cancelled one of her job in Turkey/Cyprus. Very wise move though

So it was a fashion show if google translator doesn't let me down, right? I agree, better stay out of there, that country was trouble from the beginning, way before the last relationship. I have to admit I miss seeing her as guest in tv shows tho, like that episode of Deal or No Deal and Dancing with the Stars, sadly in the US they didn't invite her yet. I wonder why, they had far less famous models in tv.

I still wonder why she left ABS. Maybe she will do another show? The only famous models in tv shows it's Heidi, Karlie and Ashley Graham. Have thank God she didn't take this Job in Turkey. Knowing Metin and his creepy family, for sure they would anything for steal her spootlight and trying anything for come back for her. I just don't know why he didn't delete her photos from his instagram.

Imo ABS wanted to change its format, and they needed to because the show wasn't exactly great from how they handled the competition, the rules being a bit unclear, and all of that. Very likely they decided to change the face of the show too, also to ride the wave of the social justice movement, or whatever you want to call it, asking for more inclusivity in the industry (not a bad thing at all, as long it doesn't become just a business strategy to get publicity). That's the more logic reason they chose Ashley Graham, because honestly you can't say she is even close to the talent or the influence in the industry that Adriana has. Nor the experience, I mean the shw host was a judge there too, and she is way more qualified for that because she is a 20 year veteran and has literallly done everything you can do modeling-wise: commercial, high fashion, lingerie, swimwear, more conceptual work, just name one and she has done it.

 

I hope she gets another show, she wasn't bad at all as host, ok she isn't Heidi or Tyra yet but they have decades of experience in tv, and seeing how much she changed in just 10 episodes filmed in two weeks or something, she definitely has the potential to florish even in this field.

 

Said that, make her play in an action or historic film/tv series with fighting sequences and I will literally die lol

Even as a superhero: Lais was offered last year a superhero role in a tv show from what I red in an interview, it didn't say which one, but she declined it because she had probably too many contract limitations (thanks VS, you robbed us again...)

 

Back to ABS, imo it wasn't a decision she agreed much with at first, we know she unfollows quite often but she was really invested in starting this new project, she proved that even trying to be more active on social media at the time to promote it, so when she unfollowed all the ABS accounts it wasn't without reason imo. She still is executive producer to my knowledge tho, so I guess she is happy for now to earn  a bit from it without being the face of the show. But I am not expecting to see her promote this show again or be a part of it in the near future.

Rightt, I don't think Adriana realizes just HOW powerful she is and how dope people find her. She could be running the social media game at the age of 37, I could only think of one other model who can do that, and thats Gisele. I think Adriana knows she is great, after she retired from VS its obvious to everybody, but I don't think she realizes just how great she is. She could literally do things still, that most could not. Like, Candice has more followers than her because she posts more and she knows what things to post. But Adriana still pulls in more likes most of the time (despite having less followers) whenever she does post something that is good. For her to be 37 and been around for 20 years and able to generate more likes and more viral posts than models younger than her, is literally unique and like I said, it shows how iconic and great she is. If only she would keep up with it, it would be more recognition for her.

I think she just does not care much about social media not necessarily that she does not know. But yeah I agree it is impressive especially since her rise wasn’t when social media was a big deal.

I think Adriana is at the stage where she’s proving her influence and staying power in the industry. It’s the same way when Gisele’s VS contract wasn’t renewed and everyone was saying  she’s so over but then before we knew what was happening Gisele became the face and fronted almost ALL the most important fashion houses that season and became even more business oriented. That to me was a power move telling people that she’s not going anywhere.

I know it’s different but another model who landed on her feet was Kate Moss. After those pictures of her allegedly doing drugs surfaced, people thought she was over, but  there she was going stronger than ever, securing countless magazines and campaigns.

 Adriana’s at that stage. She’s literally doing things most models can only dream of (even in their 20s) after she left VS and it’s super impressive because unlike Gisele who was in her 20s when she left VS, Adriana is in her late 30s now and tbh her career really is flourishing. It’s a I’ll-survive-with-or-without-you kinda tactic.

She’d outlasted almost all of her peeers and the younger ones still have nothing on her.

Now all she needs is some covers and editorials here and there and she’s good.

 

About her social media presence, she still has room for improvement but she’s getting better at it. We all know Gisele’s power and status but there’s no way Gisele would have gotten more followers than her if Adriana posted the right stuff like Gisele does. Adriana is just a more appealing model than Gisele both commercially and in the mainstream.
