Long-time reader of the forum, first time poster. Very frustrated at the lack of quality in the entire production this year.

 

I'm 23, and only started watching this show form 2014, when Taylor Swift performed. Last year, watched for the same reason, Gigi, and Kendall. This year, watched for Gigi, Kendall, to see how horribly awkward Bella is (LOL) and to watch The Weeknd, and most of my friends would concur.

 

Honestly, people my age just can't relate to 30 somethings who look like they're older (sorry not sorry). Lily has a huge head, why is she even a model? Alessandra and her both have the weirdest proportions, short legs and long torso. How has VS not gotten rid of them? Lily I get, since she's married to some musician, but Ale? She has shorter legs than Taylor, so how is she a model? And honestly, no one my age is attracted to Adrianna....except for guys who are into older(and manly) women perhaps. They have no waist, and I don't want to buy VS products that make me look like that. (short legs with no waist) Doutzen, who's a similar age, by contrast looks breathtakingly gorgeous, and looks like she's 27, not 40. 

 

Lady Gaga is a horrible choice for a performer. She's weird, and not mainstream at all. VS needs either a big-name performer, or balance The Weekend with performers such as A Great Big World, which performed a couple years ago, who just played the piano and sung in the background.

 

This entire show needs to be revamped IMO. Get rid of the old models. They look like older aunts to some of the girls, and are like relics from another decade. Cut them, and have them come back to narrate like Heidi did, or for a reunion segment or something. 

 

If VS wants new customers, then the brand has to give them something to relate to. They need more models like Candice (perfection), Elsa (perfection), Izabel (always liked her more than Ale) , Gigi(IT model of the moment, and the girl can sell product), Taylor (cute face, candles, big thighs, can they not find someone with a cute face and a nice body?), Romee (needs to redo boob job, otherwise, gorgeous, legs for days like KK)

From past years, Karolina Kurkova, Miranda Kerr, Rosie Huntington-Whitley, and Doutzen Kroes (albeit the waist issue, again, but otherwise, gorgeous)

Emily Didonato, Babara Palvin fit the bill. What happened to Toni Garrn? 

Behati, I don't know how she became a VS model, but she's married so they can't cut her. What happened to Lais, she used to be so pretty and bubbly, even had a segment from when her ankle was twisted and had to miss the show a couple years ago, now she looks..different and just sad. Jasmine is cute with the fantasy bra, but I have never heard of her before. Did she do any promo prior to the show? Who are the other girls...Josephine, forgettable face, forgettable body. Not distinctive at all, she looks like a lot of girls I go to school with, and some of them has better skin than her. When I put on VS, I would want to look like a goddess, someone like Miranda, Taylor(face-wise), Elsa, or Candice, oh and Jasmine, not to look like an average girl. Martha I guess they can't cut her either, relatable and Taylor Swift clinger-on. Poor Rachel, the cutest face, but extremely stocky body. 

 

VS just needs to find girls who are naturally gorgeous, with good porportions, who can pretend to be cute and bubbly. How hard can it be?

Am I the only one who thinks that Tanya Mityushina would look great as an angel? At least, walk some fucking time on the show; That girl has a body and a face of heart attack, I do not know how it is that is so little known.

The same thing happened with Jennifer Lawrence. She's relatable but she ain't good.... and wouldn't "no waist" be relatable? A lot of women nowadays are large with no thick,straight waists..... + How are you crying about them not being relatable but then say you want to look like a godess???

She's the type of mature sexy woman who's hot as hell whom VS will never ever contract or cast for anything.

 

I think VS make some bad (significantly) choices with some of her models. Like someone has said before, they're trying too hard with all that "make that unknown gir a star" that doesn't work nowadays. IMO Romee's case works as an example, push her so hard, but nobody gives a fuck about her.

 

I'm going to sound typical but i think (besides I like them or not) they lost her chance to had girls with star power with some of this models: Barbara P(she had/have a huge fan base, was everywhere, etc), with (young) Irina, Rosie (let her go too soon), Maryna Linchuk (time ago when she was HF relevant) or Doutzen (specially known in Europe) Imaan (she had some extraordinary seasons, booking huge campaigns, adds diversity) Sasha Luss (HF killer seasons, edgy look) for example. And, of course most of SI girls who actually had a mature and sexy looks.

Adriana is manly looking?! Alesandra has a somewhat manly looking face, IMO, but Adriana does not. And she is really not a problem for VS at all, she is still one of the biggest draws for the viewers. Plenty of people are into thirty-something women, and in any event most models in the show were younger than that.

I actually like Sara's voice more now. ( and don't find her voice sexy at all)

I felt she was always too hyper and had this annoying too loud of a tone to her voice. 

I think she is tired/sick and that is why, because when she's "normal" she goes back to talking loudly. 

 

I also am not a fan of Adriana's too hype/loud way of talking, so you see my drift. 

 

Anyway, I feel this makes her more of a spokesperson material . 

 

I am not a fan of the latest VS. I think Jo and Candice have the bodies. But not many have that bombshell, HERE I AM walk and look. 

 

I feel most are way too thin and for a lingerie most have no boobs and no hips/waist. 

 

I do miss the golden days of VS because of that, but nowadays this is the look that sells. little curves. Even gigi lost some of hers.

Goddess in the sense that models should either has the same or better proportion than regular girls, not worse. Either a square waist or short legs is fine, not both. For example, Doutzen has no waist, but everything else is top-notch. Alessandra literally has a 50/50 body. It's so noticeable when she's forced to stand beside other girls, so she's always bending her legs at the finale.

 

And it's less about me crying about these models being relatable, but more in the sense that VS wants to expand its demographic and customer base. In order to do that, they need to rapidly revamp to adapt to changing consumer tastes, i.e. to the Asia market, instead of relying on old standbys from a decade ago. Obviously, what they have been doing is not working. Adriana and Alessandra may do well in North America, but girls who look like Miranda, Elsa etc do well in China.

Thats what i was thinking lol! It's obvious that its not natural, but I cant really explain why. It just doesnt seem like her natural personality. I used to think Candices voice sounded a little silly but its not annoying and doesnt feels fake like Saras.

It is the sad truth. Now seeing it from that side I think that in these times it would not work to place a body and face beautiful as Tanya with the amount of barbarities that has left the company in that time. As long as executives do not renew for younger minds we probably will not have a chance that the firm will be relevant again as it did a few years ago. I want so much that in 2017 kick Ed, Monica and any primitive mind ... Hopefully they could make an improvement with the models and clean the house. I can think of so many models that could fit perfectly in VS (and of course, keep some of the angels we already know). So far, without Adriana or Candice the show would not even have a minimum of audience.

Sara has a very hyper and high pitch voice, and people give her hard time for that, so maybe she's trying to learn how to control it! Specially cause she wants to act! Not everything is about candice. Lol
