i think that the current generation of brazilians models (both Caroline, Fabiana, Cintia, Flavia, Solange, Izabel, ...) will never reach the level of the older generation (Gisele, Adriana, Ale, ABB, Fernanda). as much as i like several of girls in the current generation, i doubt they will be as "famous" & everywhere as it used to be 5 years ago for many of the brazilian models

I'm pretty sure she said something like that, but i'm pretty sure she wasn't being serious, or what she said has been altered. She's such a quiet and friendly person backstage, it's not like her to be boastful or mean...

She's been doing a lot of haute couture shows for 5years, has walked all the major runways (and not just once or twice), has landed major campaigns, been on the cover of the biggest fashion magazines (Numéro, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar...)

She was even supposed to be on the Vogue US september04 cover which featured the biggest top models and gisele and isabeli were the only brazilians here (Raquel would have been there if the cover had been shot 1 or 2 years later). Eugenia wasn't on the cover eventually but just because of a weight gain thing, not because ana wintour decided she sucked as a model Caroline T, Solange, Fabiana... they're all successful but not as much as Eugenia IMO... but i guess we have different points of view

I m not based on Vogue US Anna wintour sucks I remembered that cover,daria,natalia,gisele,Karolina K,Isabeli,Liya,Hana S,Gemma,Karen Elson etc...I m not saying that she doesn't successfull or a top model but so does brasilians.I mean most of the older generations(who still working) is bigger than her. Save commecials(Ale,Adriana,Ana I also think that they are bigger than eugina ,actually pretty much but you ll say they are commercials etc etc )Gisele,Isabeli,Raquel,Caroline R(yes her career kinda ends :(but I don't think eugenia reach the level of her)etc......And yes the new generation brasilians doesn't reach the level of yet but I m pretty sure that Caroline T will surpass her...

Anyway what she said is kinda true if you look at in late 90s and start of the 2000s brasilians was everywhere right now they are not dominating the high fashion world eventough the ones who works are sooo succesfull.

How many shows are you going to do?

I did one yesterday, Raia de Goeye, I'm doing two tomorrow. Six, in total.

I think it's very nice, very interesting and I really liked the clothes from yesterday (Raia de Goeye).

I'm going to do the shows in New York, I'm not sure about Milan, but I'll def. be doing Paris.

What's the coolest place you've ever been to?

Hm, I guess that for a holiday it would be Bali. For work, New York. Because the photographers are there, the studios are there, it's easier to work.

What do you miss most about Russia?

I miss my family and my boyfriend, they all live there. But I try to go every month.

Vodka? [laughs] I don't like vodka, the smell of it is... [shrugs]. I prefer wine, especially rosé. [laughs]

It was a big misunderstanding, I was just trying to say there was a time for models, like, there was a time for americans (Amber Valleta, Cindy Crawford), a time for british (Karen Elson, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss), a time for brazilians (Gisele, Fernanda) and a time for eastern europeans! I don't understand all the angry commants on what Eugenia said. Isn't it totally obvious that she was JOKING? I mean,she just said that eastern europeans are becoming really big and succsessful and said it in a way whick shows nothing more or less than sence of humour. And it shows that she respects brazilians,cause if she didn't she wouldnt say that THEY are finished,she talked about them cause she knows very well how succsessul they were and still are.I like her for that,she's not like most of the models 'everyone is great,everyone is so nice,we're all good friends...' she said a nice thing but in a funny way that's all

I didn't think she was arrogant based on that comment she made about Brasilian; I've always gotten a snotty vibe from her. That combined with her mannish, unpleasant looks makes her a non-favorite in my book.
