August 23, 20177 yr OMG IM SO HAPPY!!! TBH I did not expect her to walk this year since she has limited catwalk experience, so I'm so glad VS gave her this chance! Although she's been shooting for them since 2014 so they've known her for a while. I think this can really boost her carreer, it's definitely the biggest job she has gotten yet as you said @elfstone! Can't wait to see her walk
August 24, 20177 yr She's the newcomer I'm the most excited about! So well deserved and her reveal video had me

August 24, 20177 yr There're some gifs of Roos' reaction from VS video. Please don't forget to credit vk.com/roosmarijndekok or letsridethesun.tumblr.com
August 24, 20177 yr The video is sooooooo cute OMG! Not gonna lie I have rewatched it like 20 times haha. I don't know why VS deleted it of their page... They might repost it later. O well. And thanks for making gifs out of it @CatyCat!! Love them. Here's some pics from when Roos was at VS for a third time, either for a fitting or to record the reveal video ( I think it was probably for the reveal video because one of the only other girls that was there has a reveal vid too).

August 25, 20177 yr Roos did a fun little interview with Vogue about the show, together with fellow newbie Amilna Estevão Here is the full interview, parts about Roos in bold: Quote The castings for this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show wrapped up in New York earlier this week, and the list of newbies who will walk alongside the Angels is coming in. “I lost my mind, but in a good way!” admits Amilna Estevão, who was moved to tears upon hearing she’d been confirmed. A seasoned runway star who has worked with everyone from Tom Ford to Topshop, Estevão still felt a sense of shock upon discovering she’d been selected. “I was surprised because the VS team planned my reveal very well. There are no words to describe how much that meant to me!” It’s a sentiment echoed by the majority of new beauties. Though they’ve experienced the rigors of fashion month and are used to the cycle of castings, getting the Victoria’s Secret results is a pinch-me moment no matter how familiar they are with the process. “This year was my second time casting, so I knew what to expect but that doesn’t help with the nerves,” admits Roosmarijn de Kok, a lithe Dutch beauty who has been modeling for Victoria’s Secret’s sister label, Pink. “I couldn’t believe it and still can’t. I just started crying [when I was confirmed]. It’s such a buildup toward the casting and then when you find out you actually made it, you’re just in shock.” The collective shock may have something to do with how hard it is to actually be chosen. Models can’t just look good, they also have to impress Victoria’s Secret’s behind-the-scenes team; executive producer Monica Mitro, creative director Sophia Neophitou-Apostolou, casting director John Pfeiffer, and chief marketing officer Ed Razek. They have to prove that they are the personality to stand out in a lineup of the world’s biggest supermodels. “I remember seeing Doutzen [Kroes] walking on TV in Holland when I was a little girl and thinking she was the most beautiful and that I wanted to be like her,” says De Kok. “To this day, she’s still one of my role models.” For Estevão, who grew up watching the annual event at home in Luanda, Angola, the moment was just as impactful. “I saw the show for the first time and never imagined that I was going to make it this year. It was just amazing seeing beautiful girls with amazing bodies and personalities on the catwalk!” says Estevão. “I liked Candice [Swanepoel] and Adriana [Lima]; every time they appeared, I always went, ‘Wow, I want to be there when I grow up.’ ” Link to the interview: http://www.vogue.com/article/victorias-secret-fashion-show-2017-new-model-reactions-to-casting
