June 4, 201311 yr Still no American Vogue...even Kate Upton beat her to the punch.That is crazy, and more than ridiculous in my opinion, that Kate Upton has been on the cover of American Vogue, but Karlie hasn't. Karlie has definitely been in Vogue US though, multiple times. Even if she hasn't been on the cover of American Vogue, I don't think that takes away from the fact that she has been on so many Vogue covers, in a pretty short amount of time. If anything that just shows how ridiculous America is, because the rest of the world seems to know exactly how amazing Karlie is. Kate Upton's one cover for Vogue US does not trump Karlie's nineteen Vogue covers around the world, not to mention all the times she has been in Vogue, just not on the cover. On a side note, when it comes to Kate Upton, I personally don't find her attractive, and I will never understand why she was on the cover of Vogue, or why she is so popular in America. I am glad though, that there are woman like Karlie that prove you don't have to have long blonde hair and huge boobs to look stunningly beautiful.I agree, I think it's crazy too! Although I don't get the hype.But I disagree, Kate is great I am happy she got the cover.

So for Wintour to give Upton the June issue means that there was little confidence that the issue would sell well. Kind of like a "throwaway issue" to put it more precisely. That theory made more sense to me.Now had Wintour placed Upton on the March or September cover, the outrage would be WAY more intense. I'm sure EVERY VS Angel including Ducky would KILL to score the March/September cover. I'm sure Ducky would be willing to toss all of her 19 international covers in the trash for one shot at the September issue of US Vogue.Or I could be completely wrong about all of this and just talking out my ass.

Erm Kate Upton has not only had the "one cover for Vogue US" She's covered Vogue Italia as well as UK Vogue These are not the lesser Vogues. Upton's covered 3 of the big US, Italy, UK - only Vogue Paris left for a home run Kate's also had various Vogue editorials not only in US vogue but also Vogue Espana, and Vogue Germany Not taking anything away from Karlie. In fact Upton and Kloss are the only two non English models who have covered British Vogue in a while. Good for two of them

First off, since weight discussions are largely against the rules, the point about Karlie’s weight being relevant is in itself irrelevant. That being said, I can see where you’re coming from overall. I certainly don't have a problem with members expressing opinions or giving constructive criticism, nor am I interested in targeting individuals as examples of bad behaviour. I was really only there to diffuse a situation that I believed had the potential to get out of hand. As I'm sure you can appreciate, the staff come across a lot of heated exchanges and when we don't nip them in the bud, they often degenerate into personal attacks and get ugly fast.
