I must say I was VERY pleased. This show equals 2007 in post-production and themes. Having said that:

Favorite segment: Circus and Silver Screen Goddesses (I never thought the latter would look so effing nice on TV! )

Least favorite segment: Bloom (music was completely off and the models were like stoned)

Best -as usual- familiar model: Izabel Goulart

All-around Goddess: Alessandra (of course)

Best up and coming: Magda Frackowiak

Waste of runway space: Dorothea (what was she doing there)

Funny moment: Erin having to leave without her hat on... I thought she was going to cry, she was just like a little girl LOL

Not the best year for them: Behati (looks old and worn out), Adriana (I love her but her time is over)

Good year for them: Doutzen (wow she looks hot), Miranda (she shone more last year but still good), Lindsay (for somebody who started as 'the ugly one' she has improved a lot)

Too bad they edited out Karlie's native american costume. I mean WTH!!!! It ruined the whole Calendar theme by not having November.

Bieber was not a good addition to the show. this has got to be the worst PINK segment I've seen (the best being 2007). Then again all for the little girlies to run out and buy bras....

"Kinda" missed Maryna Linchuk but the show was so good. Anne V was not missed.

Although the Xmas themed runways were overdone in the early 2000s I think it was a staple element of the VS shows that they have been losing.

I think next year they should bring in Kasia Struss (younger Behati) and Bette Franke as models.

Overall, 8.5/10 (being 2003 a 10/10 and 2008 a 6/10)

the show wasn't as good as I expected. Circus and Silver Screen were very good for me, but the rest were meh. Pink wasn't that bad though.

I'm just so pissed about how they never concentrate on the girls' walks anymore. The camera didn't even stay on Adriana during the opening, like, uh? And it was over. Barbara F was trying to do a fierce walk and then Bruno's little people spoiled it all. I can't think of any strong walk in the show. Would have to walk it again. I did want to shoot Riri's legs so she could never close a show again.

The commercials were all bad. So try-hard. Like, really stop. I think Candice and Adriana were the only ones with their own little segment, right? Adriana's being about her commercials. And Candice's being about how much of a phenomenon she is.

Ha. Candice is everywhere. As if... I bet Miranda was cursing them so badly If scoring a couple of high fashion (not even mainstream) covers and campaigns is what "everywhere" means, then smh at them. I can't wait for Adriana and Ale and even Miranda to leave. Lets see if people will give a shit about the angels.

I haven’t read all of your comments, they’re too much and I don’t have all this time So I’m just going to give some personal considerations about this year’s show, I’m sorry in advance if some of the following has been already said by someone else.

Favorite Segments: Dangerous Liasons, Calendar, Silver Screen Angels

Least Favorite Segments: Circus, Pink

Your standout models:

-Doutzen, you perfect thing. She had a great body, she made her first outfit something acceptable, and for me this is her best show since 2005.

-Barbara P: make her an angel immediately. It’s sad that they decided to cover her so much with that outfit (which is a very nice outfit, btw) but she was great anyway. I hope they don’t do with her the same mistake they did with Bianca Balti: she was the perfect angel, but from 2005 she keeps doing the castings, and they keep not casting her. They deserve a girl like Barbara.

-Alessandra: a pregnancy actually makes a woman way more beautiful. Apart from having a great body, in shape but with natural curves due to the pregnancy, she was radiant, beautiful, and it was clear that she was happy to be there (if you know what I mean).

-Elsa: gorgeous. So elegant although it was “just” Pink. She absolutely deserves the main line, even if I think that Pink is a good point of start. In short, she’s on the right way.

-Behati: I’m glad she got 3 outfits (yeah, I know that they were two initially), she opened a good segment, and especially she was not in Pink. Look at the latest commercial! I LOVED her there. Now it’s time to make Elsa the new Pink Queen and use Behati for bigger things.

-Shanina: make her an angel ASAP.

-Hilary: wow! She’s always been a hit and miss for me, but I really loved her in this show! She has to be one of the new regulars, definitely.

-Jacquelyn: damn, her legs are longer than me (Aside note: I saw her in Milan in September after Dolce & Gabbana show, she was going away with Ginta, I was a couple of meters away from them. I am 5’7 1/2, but I felt so short compared to them both). Anyway, she knows how to rock that runway. I could see her better in Dangerous Liasons than in Pink, hope they understand that she can be much more than a simple Pink model.

-Lily A: is just me, or her walk has improved a lot? Not the best, but not as bad as previous years! And she was so gorgeous, that make up definitely suits on her (or, as Ale, her pregnancy made her better too).

-Lindsay: she really stood out this year! Two great outfits, she has never been my fav, but she was really really good.

-Other angels: liked them all.

Meh! could of been better:

-Magdalena: I was glad that she was cast again, but after see her...it seems that she was trying to sell herself, absolutely wrong way to approach that runway. This is sad, she was good in 2010.

-Jourdan: girl, you’re beautiful, why you have to ruin everything with that robot? I got that you represent a robot, but…

Models that made you o.O:

-Dorothea: seriously I don’t know what to think.

-Maud: she seemed so out of place, please let her in her HF world.

Aside note for Adriana: I truly believe this was the last one of Adriana. She gave birth less than two months before the show, and she chose to do it anyway, knowing that is incredibly dangerous go on a diet while a woman is still breast feeding (a diet compromises the quality of the milk), yes she said that she had the nutritionist, but after 3 weeks was way too early. She did it, accepting no wings and one not so good outfit (the one in Circus was good), and without being in perfect shape. Probably they let her open to thank her, in some way, for the long time work she has done for them. If it wasn’t the last one, she would have skipped this year.

In general: yes, we have a lot of HF models, too skinny, they should cast real women with curves, etc. Ok, I agree with you when you say this, 'cause one thinks: I'd never buy a bra sponsored by a girl with less than zero boobs. This is true, but I think that the whole concept of the show has changed: it's no more "see the products and then go to the stores to buy them", it's simply a television show, and this means that the requirements for a model have changed too, now they need a great walk, personality, ability to interact with singers and audience and other girls, and if there are boobs and ass too, better. She's incredibly skinny but she has the first three requirements? She's cast, 'cause she can add a lot to the show (notice, I'm talking about the show, not the fashion show, which I consider two different things). Now a woman already knows the brand without the fashion show, and a man doesn't care about bras, he only wants to see the girls. This is true for outfits too: a lot of them cover too much the lingerie, but we don't watch the show for the lingerie, we watch it for the girls and the music and the show itself: so who cares?

(I'm not talking about us in this group, but about the customers' world out there, which I suppose doesn't talk about this show as much as we do.)

And as I think it's time to think about new angels, I would definitely say Barbara P, Lais (it just has to be officialized, I suppose), Bregje and Shanina.

Circus: very good. Although it was, together with Pink, my least favourite, it was a good opening.

Silver Screen: I have to admit, I had chills during this. So elegant and classy, and with that slower version of Young Girls, I really felt like I was in an old movie. I suppose this was one of the effects they wanted.

Dangerous Liaisons: nothing to say, I just loved it.

Calender Girls: so pretty! Funny, with a good rithm, a good song, and I really liked the idea of the band instead of the dancers, it was something different. (And she shoes here! Gosh, I could hear well my girl-obsessed-with-shoes part that was trying to go out)

Pink: I don’t know, maybe the presence of Bieber keeps me from saying something good about it, probably without him I would have liked it much more. In general it wasn’t as bad as I expected.

Angels in Bloom: nice idea “transform” the girls in giant flowers, and close with that big poppy was good (big big wings, a bright color, it’s something you don’t forget, whether you like or not the outfit), but I think that now they’re done with these themes. The only problem here was the music: I mean, great rithm for walk, but simply it wasn’t good for the segment. They should have chosen another song, even “we found love” or a mix of her bigger hits would have been better (like Katy did two years ago, for instance).

Music: the fact that they chose 5 live performances it's, for me, because of the rights of the songs. Now, I don't know how much they've paid Rihanna and Bruno and Justin, and how much for using the first song. But I think that, if they chose this solution, they've saved some money. I once read someone who misses the great mixes of past years: me too, but they would have paid a looot more for using 8-10 songs (I had a class about this stuff last year, and pay for use a single song can sometimes be incredibly expensive).

-Rihanna and Bruno have been great: I've always liked them, so powerful voices and great interpretations. Rihanna can easily be a model, she knows how to rock that runway.

-Justin: I really expected worse! From the preview videos I really didn't like him, but now I can't say that I liked him, but he wasn't so bad, I still think he is not a real singer. The problem here was the choice itself: I don't know, maybe their new goal for next months is to do bras for 8 y.o. girls?

Scenography: great. One of the best things this year. I loved in particular the very large runway, and it was really nice the idea in Pink, of the runway as a giant pinball, but in general it was just incredible.

Final considerations:

-In general it was very good, better than last years, but at the end it left me that something that you can never explain.

-This leads to the second point: I suppose the wrong thing has been shots and cameras movements. They stayed too much on performers and less on models. It's difficult for me speak that much about models 'cause I almost couldn't see them! For almost every girl, I couldn't see her whole runway, that means walk-pose-walk back. When they were posing, there was the cut and the camera siddenly was framing the singer. Yes, what I said previously is true for this point too, but in this way it was way too exaggerated. At the end, i said "star of this show: Rihanna". But in a not very good meaning.

-FB to Doutzen next year please.

-I'm really really sad fo Erin, pour girl. Basically they couldn't put her hat on in time, they left the clips in her hair, but she had to walk with badly placed clips (which can be painful, as a girl I can say it), right? Damn, you had one segment and half! These are the things that CAN NEVER HAPPEN. I hope it was something prepared just for the "show".

-Someone said that singers interact too much with girls: same for models and outfits, this interaction makes the show more funny.

-VS people please don't forget Maryna, Flavia and Sara next year! Maybe it will be helpful write their names on a post-it somewhere.

-Oh, and don't forget to study American History! I live in the other part of the world, but I knew from the beginning that Karlie's outfit was the biggest mistake they did in a long time. But the cut they did on her was technically very very good, I almost couldn't see the cut. (To edwie: that outfit was completely wrong, VS seemed to celebrate the massacre of native Americans with it, and obviously actual native Americans got mad. Cannot blame them).

-As every year, OMG so great things, and OMG what the hell is that.

-An advice: just enjoy it without complaining too much

I love how every year someone swears up and down its Adriana's last year when it's clearly not. Every year. It's laughable really

Adriana aint going nowhere. Even though I wouldn't mind if she leaves now. I feel secondhand embarrassment for Ale. It's like she wasn't even there. Mirand looked wonderful but was featured in the show like any other model. Like she isn't even angel.

Oh Barbara why do you have to be so incredibly beautiful....I mean seriously....WHY ?????????????

After watching it the first time I wasn't impressed. But upon watching it again I eased up a little and realised all in all the show wasn't that bad. As always we wanna compare to 05 but it's never gonna happen. While the worst show for me will always be 09, this show is definitely not the best but not the worst either. I felt last years show was better in terms of the fluidity of the editing. But the themes this year and model choices (not all Pink girls) were great.

To me as always the standouts of the Angels were Miranda and Doutzen. They are just so great on the runway. This is Doutzen's best year in a long time. And Miranda had more spark to her then she did last year. Lindsay also was a very pleasant suprise. I've never been a huge fan of hers but her body is more curvier and she is very simple but wonderful. As for non Angels I thought Frida, Barbara F and Magdalena were amazing.

I loved Circus, Calendar Girls and Silver Screen Angels. Usually I hate slow music on a runway but the outfits and lighting just worked so well with the song. My fav segment from the show. Worst would be Pink. It was just a complete mess. Justin Beiber should have never been at the show. His performance was terrible and he was a really bad choice.

Overall I thought it was ok. Like all shows it has rewatch value.

I think Barbara looked out of place in the show. Her outfit looked too uncomfortable and made her look shorter than she is. The outfit would have probably looked better on a taller girl. And I LOLed when she walked like the stage was hers and she's been doing the show for a while.

Lindsay isn't really featured in the Christmas commercials much.

If that's the main Christmas commercial then i'm not impressed. It was dull and lacked the usual oomph the commercial has. There was no energy and it was all in the same place. They shot heaps more stuff.

Question: has the VSFS become too scripted/contrived? It seems like there is very little room left for the truly spontaneous moments that made the earlier editions (pre-2006) cute and memorable.

^That and I think they need an hour and a half if they are going to have 50 billion girls and performers in all the segments and even segments just for the performers. Maybe two. If you have ADD though the show is perfect for you.

Some thoughts:

-Adriana: she didn't look good this year, plus her opening wasn't the best, she can do much better, I think it was caused because a lack of confidence.

-Behati: not a fan, I always thought she wasn't VS material, but I'm starting to think I was wrong. She can shine outside pink.

-Jessica Hart: no! she is not Pink material, I mean she is not a teenager anymore. And her opening could have been so amazing with that outfit and Bieber next to her, but she finally made a blah opening

-Shanam Diniz: a new fan here

-Bregje and Toni: they both shine last year but no this year.

-I surprised how little footage had Karlie and Frida, Frida just appeared in the runway and this year wasn't KK fashion show like last year was.

-Jacquelyn Jablonski: may be body-wise not VS material, but she can rock the runway. She looked amazing, she was one of the highlights this year for me

-Magda: no thanks, too much for me

-Jourdan: love her performance, It could be a major fail but she rock that robot dance

-Cara: thank god she wasn't a highlight this year

-Candice: they are selling her like she is the best thing that happened to them in the last years, because she is the best thing that happened to them. And I'm not a fan. She is the only one of the new angels who have the wow factor, I really sorry for Erin, Lindsay and Lily they seem sweethearts but no, they are boring as hell

- I really think they have to move on and say goodbye to Adriana and Ale

-I'm surprised they didn't say a thing about Ale, Lily and Adriana's maternity.

Watching that little backstage Erin Heatherton drama I am a little confused and quite angry...Don't they at VS desire to create the most perfectly wonderful show which highlights all the models , most esp the VS Angels in the best possible light OR do they just want create unnecessary drama showing the girls in tears , quite hysterical ....I thought the very reason they taped the show TWICE was so that they could find the best possible footage of each model strutting the runway ......Cos if they were so concerned with Erin's festive hat ( that according to VS was crafted by hand ) they could have just pulled the footage from the first show when the photos showed her clearly wearing it....and not walking bareheaded with those hair clips sticking to her hair....I mean COME ON!!!!

Alessandra was completely screwed over and it's sad. I've always been indifferent about her, but both Adriana and Candice get their little segments and nothing for Alessandra after walking the show for 12 years? There was zero focus on her. I really don't know what they were thinking.

The show wasn't good at all. I liked the outfits in the Silver screen angels segment, they were beautiful. I loved how Doutzen looked, she really owned the night in my opinion.

They need to go back to the older days where the performers didn't steal all the spotlight? Half of the girls we didn't even get to see walk. They cut to the performers in the middle and cut back to them when they were at the end of the runway. I mean what the hell?

Adriana looked so average IMO. (And yes before everyone jumps on how she was trending. Of course she was. Arguably she's the most well known Angel there (considering how long she has been there) of course she would be trending). But I really don't know why the hell she even bothered to walk. Her opening was nothing special and short. You could tell even VS was too embarrassed to leave her unedited when it came to the outfit in red. They did such a poor job with it too.

It's all scripted. The first bloopers like Fernanda Tavares getting caught in her dress in 2003 and Poly's nailing the heel to the runway in 2005 were spontaneous. Things that were not expected. They liked it so much that in 2006 they came up with the 1st scripted blooper, Karolina Kurkova and her stewardess shoe coming off.
